About Phở Son Ha

Phở Son Ha, located at 1316 N Rand Rd, Palatine, IL 60074, USA, is a Chinese Restaurant platform category establishment specializing in authentic Vietnamese cuisine, particularly its flavorful pho. This family-run restaurant has garnered positive feedback for its food quality and attentive service.

Customers consistently praise the food at Phở Son Ha as excellent, flavorful, and authentic. One reviewer mentioned that their regular pho tái is so good they often crave it even on the days the restaurant is closed, highlighting it as a "happy place" after a long day. Another customer echoed the sentiment, stating the food was "quite good."

The service at Phở Son Ha is generally described as polite and moderately attentive. One reviewer noted the family running the restaurant is "super kind." However, one customer pointed out a couple of service-related inconveniences: the credit card machine is not mobile, requiring customers to pay at the desk, and it lacks a tip line, leading staff to ask for the tip amount before processing the card, which was perceived as awkward.

Regarding the environment, one customer mentioned being seated by a window and experiencing a noticeable chill, suggesting that the temperature in certain areas might need attention. However, another reviewer's positive remarks about the food being a "happy place" imply a generally welcoming atmosphere despite this specific comfort concern.

Features of Phở Son Ha include its authentic and flavorful Vietnamese pho, the attentive and kind service provided by the family owners, and the availability of tap-to-pay, although with the noted limitation of the machine's mobility. No specific promotional information was available in the provided reviews. Overall, Phở Son Ha is recommended for its delicious and authentic pho, with customers appreciating the quality of the food and the kindness of the service.

The food itself was excellent, flavorful, and authentic. Service was polite and moderately attentive. We were sat next to a window, and the atmosphere was so cold I felt a chill creep up my legs and back. Tap to pay is available, but the credit card machine isn't mobile to the table, so you'll need to walk up to the desk to pay by this method. Also for it being a restaurant, their credit card machine doesn't include a tip line, so they ask you if you want to leave a tip before running the card, which I find awkward. Aside from these service and comfort issues that need fixing, the food is quite good.

I LOVE it here so much i come here all the time with friends. The food is so gooooood i think about going here even on the days when they’re closed. some days i can’t wait for it to be 4 Pm already. I always get the regular pho tai and it’s always gone before I can even realize it. this place is my happy place after a long day simply because the food is just that good. Definitely give this place a try. Also the family that runs this restaurant is so attentive and super kind.

Good portions, and a great price. The broth for the pho was flavorful and the appetizers were very good. Pad Thai was a bit sweeter than expected and with extra peanut flavor.

Came for the first time, and it was SOO good! We got #14, #21, dumplings, and chicken wings. Pho Broth was excellent. Pork was so tender and sausage is crispy and flavorful with a good bite to it. Love the texture. Service was 💯. Everything was awesome. Will be back! :)

Absolutely one of the best spots to eat in this area, period. Over the past 6 years I’ve been here dozens of times, and it has never disappointed. I have pretty much exclusively ordered pho when I go here, because that is all I crave. The broth feels like it was made with love and you can taste that has been simmering for hours and hours. The place is small, but you always feel comfortable, like being in someone’s home. The atmosphere is something I love about small restaurants like this. The main owner who has been there every time I’ve visited is extremely nice and hospitable. The only thing that has bummed me out a little bit is they have changed their hours from 4-8:30pm, eliminating the chance to go during lunch, which is when I would always go. Fingers crossed they open back up for lunch. Easily one of the best choices in the area if you’re looking to eat pho, maybe just bring a smaller group.
