About Phở Hong Chau

Phở Hong Chau, located at 3390 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84115, USA, serves Vietnamese cuisine to the local community. As a Vietnamese restaurant, it offers a variety of traditional dishes, with some customers specifically mentioning the Bun Bo Que (Spicy beef and noodles soup) and the Vermicelli noodles with pork and egg rolls.

According to one positive review, the Bun Bo Que had a perfect level of spice that enhanced the flavorful beef broth. The Vermicelli noodles with pork and egg rolls were also well-received, and the prices were considered decent. This customer, who visited based on a recommendation, expressed satisfaction and intent to return.

However, other reviews present a mixed picture. One customer reported poor service despite the restaurant being relatively empty. Another review described the Bun Bo Hue as okay, but raised concerns about the Vietnamese mini pancakes being fried in rancid oil, which overshadowed any coconut flavor. This customer also noted the questionable appearance of the side vegetables served with the Bun Bo Hue.

If you are in Salt Lake City and looking to try Vietnamese dishes like Bun Bo Que or Vermicelli noodles, Phở Hong Chau offers these options. For inquiries or more information, you can contact them at (801) 906-8858 or +1 801-906-8858.

My friend, sister and I gave this place a visit during our trip to Chinatown yesterday and the food was just delicious! Me and my sister got the Spicy beef and noodles soup called Bun Bo Que which had just the perfect spice for a low spice tolerance person like me which was why I was impressed. Usually if there’s too much spice it would cancel out the flavor but this Bun Bo Que’s beef broth was perfect! My friend got the Vermincelli noodles with pork and egg rolls bowl which was very good as welll! The prices were decent and nothing too overpriced. My mom actually recommended this place and I am so glad I got to try it because I will be coming back again!

We were one of two tables but somehow the service was still pretty bad. The bun bo hue was okay, but the Vietnamese mini pancakes were fried with rancid oil. You could not taste the coconut at all, the bitterness from the oil was overwhelming. Also the side veggies that came with the bun bo hue looked pretty sus.

Loved the food here! I haven't had Cơm (rice dish) from a restaurant in a long time, and it did not disappoint! I ordered the Grilled Pork rice dish and it was SO good. Lots of meat. The atmosphere was nice and cute. I didn't love the service provided, our waiter kind of seemed like she was reluctant to serve us, but she was nice otherwise. Would recommend for anyone looking for good food in Chinatown!

It's one of the best viet spots in SLC. I never had a bad meal here, and even friends from out of town love it. Menu is very extensive with so many options to choose from. My favorites are the roast chicken (fried basically) egg noodles soup, wonton and cha siu egg noodles soup, and combination rice dishes are all great The sweet and savory mini pancake shrimp with coconut milk is really good and not found in many places. Def recommend when in the area, with many other food and dessert options in the chinatown supermarket complex.

We recently ate at Pho Hong Chau and thoroughly enjoyed every dish we ordered. The portions were huge, and the pho was very good. In addition to Pho, Banh Khot was so tasty. I had never had it with coconut cream on top before and it truly added a delicious twist to this dish. Overall, I highly recommend Pho Hong Chau to anyone looking for some delicious Vietnamese food. The portions are generous and the service is excellent.
