Customers have reported positive dining experiences at Peter Chang, praising the restaurant's bright and clean atmosphere and the friendliness of the servers. The staff is noted for being attentive and quick to address any requests, enhancing the overall enjoyment of the meal.

The menu features a variety of delicious dishes. Highly recommended items include the Peking duck, dim sum, and especially the sweet and sour chicken, which one reviewer described as having a light and crispy batter, perfectly sized chicken pieces, and a sauce with exceptional flavor depth. However, it's worth noting that the duck soup served with the Peking duck has a strong aroma that may not appeal to everyone.

For those seeking an all-you-can-eat dim sum experience, Peter Chang's is highlighted as a spot that delivers a wide range of options. The extensive AYCE menu includes popular choices like sad cold jelly, shrimp rolls, salt and pepper baby shrimp, sweet potato sesame buns, and grandma noodles. While most items were well-received, one reviewer found the mala beef noodles to be soggy and the braised pork with rice too sweet.

The service for the all-you-can-eat dim sum is described as excellent, with attentive waiters who promptly clear tables and take subsequent orders. The servers are also efficient in ensuring dishes reach the correct table. The restaurant tends to get busy quickly, attracting many larger groups and families. Peter Chang also features an outdoor bar seating area, offering a pleasant option during favorable weather.

Whether you're interested in classic Chinese dishes or exploring the all-you-can-eat dim sum, Peter Chang in Columbia offers a diverse menu and a welcoming environment.

We had a good dining experience here! The restaurant has a bright and clean atmosphere, and the servers were friendly. They quickly took care of any requests we had, which made the meal even more enjoyable. Our group of six ordered Peking duck, dim sum, and sweet and sour chicken, and everything was delicious. The sweet and sour chicken, in particular, stood out—the batter was light and crispy, the chicken was perfectly sized, and the sauce had an incredible depth of flavor, better than any other Chinese restaurant I've been to. The only thing I wouldn’t recommend is the duck soup that comes with the Peking duck—it had a strong duck aroma that might not be for everyone. Other than that, it was an amazing meal, and we had a great time! Would definitely come back.

If you’re searching for an ayce dim sum spot that is delivering all the hits and some… check out Peter Changs! The menu is extensive for an ayce menu and it does not disappoint! We ordered about 18 items and my favorite was the sad cold jelly, shrimp rolls, salt and pepper baby shrimp, sweet potato sesame buns and the grandma noodles. Amongst others but I will I was not a huge fan of the mala beef as the noodles were too soggy for me and the braised pork with rice as it was too sweet! The service was excellent! Our waiter was attentive and prompt to clear the table and take the next round of orders. The servers were also very prompt in ensuring the dishes made it to the right table and they definitely had their system down! The restaurant got packed quickly! A lot of larger groups and families filled the place! They also have an outdoor bar seating area which would be amazing for nice weather!

Peter Chang's, nestled in the sleek new Merriweather shopping complex in Columbia, MD, has unleashed a weekend brunch experience that's nothing short of spectacular. Their all-you-can-eat dim sum, available Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am to 3 pm, isn't just a meal; it's a culinary adventure. The sheer scope of their two-page menu is daunting, yet thrilling. It encompasses all the classic dim sum staples, elevated by Peter Chang's signature flair, alongside unique, tantalizing creations. Our table, determined to conquer as much of the menu as possible, managed to sample roughly 80% – and we were consistently blown away by the quality. Highlights were abundant. The shrimp rice rolls, presented vertically instead of the typical horizontal layout, offered a delightful textural twist. The soup dumplings were bursting with flavor, and the shrimp har gow were delicate and perfectly cooked. Noodle enthusiasts will rejoice in the robust Grandma noodles and the fiery beef brisket mala tang, both showcasing the restaurant's mastery of Sichuan flavors. However, it's the specialty items that truly set Peter Chang's apart. The iconic scallion pancake puff, arriving at the table inflated like a golden balloon, is a must-try – a visual and gustatory spectacle. The century egg and pork congee was a comforting and deeply satisfying dish, showcasing the restaurant's ability to balance tradition with innovation. Service was impeccable. Our table was consistently cleared, ensuring a seamless flow of dishes, and the dim sum arrived promptly, allowing us to maintain our culinary momentum. At $36 per person, this all-you-can-eat dim sum brunch is an absolute steal, especially considering the quality and variety on offer. I wholeheartedly recommend bringing a large, hungry group to fully appreciate the breadth and depth of Peter Chang's culinary prowess. This is, without a doubt, some of the best dim sum you'll find in the DMV. Prepare to be amazed.

Very nice dining experience. Staff is friendly and patient. The menu is a mix of traditional and 'Americanized' options so there is something for everyone. Loved everything we ordered besides the crispy chicken wings. The batter was dry and tasteless. Shrimp dumplings from the dim sum menu were pretty delicious as well. Quite a few mocktail options which was nice for those in our party under 21. For the price range, I was expecting the ambiance to be a little more formal, but it is a very casual interior.

Ordered way too much fried rice but otherwise was a solid choice. Food didn't stand out a lot as exceptional but was relatively good. I actually enjoyed the drinks the most.
