Never had Peruvian food before and we saw this place and wanted to give it a try. The whole vibe is welcoming and comforting. You can tell it’s a mom and pop restaurant. The lady at the front was super nice and gave us free samples of the Chicha Morada drink; which, btw was delicious. My boyfriend ordered Pollo a la Brasa quarter chicken and I ordered tamales and tres leches. Something on the lighter side for us. Pollo was flavorful, fragrant and had a smoky finish. The homemade sauces were really good too but I didn’t know their names. Tamales reminded me of the ones that my old coworker made for me. Also flavorful and it was moist. Juicy, not dry at all. All in all, this whole lunch we had was made with love. Like going to your grandma’s for lunch. You have to be mindful that other cultures have different views on portions and plating. You can’t come in here expecting American portions. You’re spoiled for that. I’ve read some of the reviews here and it seems people just wanted to complain just to complain. Give this restaurant a try before making assumptions.

We were really disappointed with the prices we paid and how little the amount of food. I wish I took pictures ahead of eating the small piece of chicken with the green rice. This was Arroz con Pollo and it was almost laughable. The chicken was so small and it was the only thing I could eat as I did not like the taste of the green rice. I ordered an horchata. It was gross. I saw them make it with a spoonful of horchata powder then mixed it in a blender thus the bubbles on the top. I could not drink it. I asked for a refund for the entire meal and that was not happening. The waitress did take the horchata off the bill and repeatedly told me that this is the same as everywhere else but it's not. I have definitely had my own share of horchata and I am very aware of the taste. This meal for two cost us $38 and we barely touched either dish. Upon explaining the situation that we were not going to eat the food as we did not like it all the sudden English language was not understood and the waitress could not figure it out so we ended up paying for it. The food was too bad to salvage and take home. It turned out to be an expensive learning lesson. I will not be returning to to this establishment. Anyone who charges full price and the full meal is still on the table has no shame. I would have been embarrassed for that to happen to me or my business. The chicken was very small and very dry. I was very surprised at how small the dishes were as far as main course. They added so much rice to fill the plate up. The rice was disgusting I could only handle one bite. My wife had the Lomo Soltado. While it did taste better than the Arroz con Pollo and you do get more of a meal it was not good enough to finish or take away. Each meal is approximately $15-$20 and not worth it at all. The restaurant was very dirty as well. Needs a thorough cleaning from top to bottom. Bathrooms are unisex and gross.

I work next door so decided to try this place out for a quick lunch walked in and was greeted by a friendly couple ladies. I had been eyeing the tamales on the menu. Plenty of menus on the outside of the windows of the building. You can also scan a digital menu with your phone as well. My tamale was hot. Had a huge piece of chicken in. It was authentically wrapped with leaves and was extremely tasty. She gave me two sauces with the tamale one was sweet, The other one was kind of like a hot sauce. Mix them both up and just added to the flavor of the tamale. Plenty of seating inside as well as the sidewalk out front. Only peruvian restaurant I know in the area. And they advertise that. If you are looking for something different.. Give them a shot.

This experience was wildly disappointing. At the time, this restaurant had a 4+ star rating. There was an outstanding Latin restaurant that occupied this space previously that I thought was related. Anyhow, the food was bland, boring and insanely overpriced. We bought 3 meals and spent over $80. Think generic french fries floating in a bowl of soup boring. Update: The owner responded and said I didn't describe the right restaurant. The dish I ordered was the Lomo Saltado. It was just a soupy mess with french fries floating underneath unseasoned meat and vegetables.
