About Persuasian Restaurant

Persuasian Restaurant is a Chinese restaurant located at 2214 Park Rd in Charlotte, North Carolina (zip code 28203). Operating within the "Chinese Restaurant" category, Persuasian Restaurant aims to provide Chinese cuisine to the local community. They can be contacted by phone at (704) 333-1837 or via their mobile number at +1 704-333-1837.

Based on the limited customer reviews available, experiences at Persuasian Restaurant appear to be quite polarized, with one reviewer expressing significant dissatisfaction with the food quality, while another had a highly positive experience, particularly highlighting the service and a specific dish recommendation from the owner. Potential customers should consider these contrasting perspectives when deciding whether to dine at this establishment.

One reviewer expressed strong disappointment, stating that if one is looking for "decent Chinese in Charlotte," they should not come to Persuasian Restaurant. This individual was perplexed by the restaurant's reported 4.4 rating (the source of this rating is not specified but is referenced by the reviewer), as their experience was far from satisfactory. They clarified that they are not overly picky but simply desire "decent Chinese food," which they did not find at Persuasian Restaurant.

This negative review detailed several specific issues with the food. The fried rice was described as "dry" and lacking essential ingredients like eggs and vegetables, consisting only of dry yellow rice. The chicken in the General Tso's chicken was reported to have been "absolutely frozen at one time," suggesting it was not fresh or properly thawed and cooked. The dumplings were characterized as "rubbery" with very little flavor. The only part of the meal that this reviewer found acceptable was the wonton soup, which they noted is "really hard to screw up." This overall negative experience left the reviewer still searching for an "average Chinese" restaurant in Charlotte, even mentioning several nearby places in the Dilworth area that they believe are superior. They even solicited recommendations from other readers, underscoring their dissatisfaction with Persuasian Restaurant.

In stark contrast, another reviewer visiting from Virginia had a very positive experience at what they described as a "quaint, local spot." This customer reported that their visit "did not disappoint." A notable aspect of their experience was asking the owner to surprise them with his favorite dish, which turned out to be the lemongrass beef and was described as "delicious." The reviewer noted that the owner seemed "proud to serve it." Furthermore, they highlighted the owner's genuine interest in conversing with guests, as he took the time to visit every table. This positive interaction led the reviewer to state their intention to return on their next trip to the area, emphasizing the welcoming service and enjoyable food.

These two reviews present a clear dichotomy in customer experiences. The negative review focuses on significant issues with food quality, including dry rice, potentially mishandled chicken, and rubbery dumplings. The positive review, on the other hand, emphasizes the quality of a specific dish (lemongrass beef) and the exceptional, personalized service provided by the owner. This suggests that the quality of food and the overall experience at Persuasian Restaurant might be inconsistent or highly dependent on the specific dish ordered and the interaction with the staff, particularly the owner.

For local users in Charlotte, NC, considering Persuasian Restaurant, it is important to weigh these contrasting opinions. The negative review raises red flags about the basic quality of some common Chinese dishes, while the positive review suggests that there might be standout dishes and a welcoming atmosphere, especially when interacting with the owner. The "quaint, local spot" description hints at a smaller, perhaps family-run establishment where the owner takes a personal interest in the guests.

The service appears to be a key factor, with one reviewer highlighting the owner's attentiveness and engagement. This personal touch could significantly enhance the dining experience for some customers. However, there is no information provided about the general service from other staff members.

As a Chinese restaurant, Persuasian Restaurant likely offers a menu of standard Chinese-American fare, although the specific dishes mentioned in the reviews are General Tso's chicken, fried rice, dumplings, wonton soup, and lemongrass beef. The lemongrass beef, recommended by the owner, seems to be a standout dish worth considering.

There is no information available regarding the environment or ambiance of Persuasian Restaurant beyond the description of it being a "quaint, local spot." Similarly, there is no mention of any specific features or promotional information.

In conclusion, Persuasian Restaurant in Charlotte, NC, appears to be a local Chinese eatery with highly varied customer experiences. While one reviewer reported significant issues with the quality of several common dishes, another praised the delicious lemongrass beef and the exceptional service from the owner. Local users considering Persuasian Restaurant might want to consider trying the owner's recommended dishes and be aware of the potential for inconsistent food quality based on the available reviews. The personal touch from the owner seems to be a significant positive aspect of the dining experience for at least one customer.

If you are looking for decent Chinese in Charlotte, do not come here. I have no idea how they have a 4.4 rating. To be clear, I am not picky, I just want decent Chinese food. Let me start with the fried rice… it was dry and had no eggs or vegetables, just dry yellow rice! The chicken in my General Tso chicken was absolutely frozen at one time! Dumplings were rubbery and had very little flavor. Wonton soup was by far the best part of the meal, but it’s really hard to screw up wonton soup. I’m still on a search for just an average Chinese in Charlotte. I can name a half dozen place near Dilworth that are better than this place. Any recommendations would be great!

Visiting here from VA and found this quaint, local spot. It did not disappoint! Asked the owner to surprise me with his favorite dish, and it was delicious. Got the lemongrass beef, and he was proud to serve it. He was genuinely interested in conversing and took the time to visit every guest. Will absolutely be back next trip here!

I love this restaurant as you get great food and very friendly service. I usually get the Ginger Vegetables with shrimp or beef which is broccoli, cabbage, mushrooms, and carrots in a light stir-fried in a light ginger sauce. If you're like me and hate carrots, they will gladly cook it without carrots. It is delicious as the ingredients are fresh and the sauce perfectly complements other ingredients. The staff always makes you feel welcome and appreciated, which unfortunately has become rare in restaurants lately.

Delicious Asian restaurant. Very fresh perfectly cooked vegetables, and a yummy basil sauce. The fresh seaweed salad is also delicious and very healthy! The owners and staff are all friendly helpful and welcoming. I would definitely go back.

My favorite Asian restaurant in the area! This is the second time I get the chicken pho and it doesn’t disappoint. The broth is so flavorful and it comes with plenty of chicken. The egg drop soup is also delicious. We also got a chicken hibachi, the pieces of chicken had great flavor and crispy around the edges. To close our visit, we shared a warm brownie sundae. The atmosphere and service was superb. It’s has a hint of fancy with a casual vibe. Can’t wait to visit again!
