About Peng's Asian Cuisine

Peng's Asian Cuisine, located at 108 Factory Shops Rd Ste A in Morrisville, North Carolina (NC 27560, USA), offers a diverse and flavorful experience for those seeking quality Asian cuisine in the area. Based on enthusiastic customer reviews, Peng's appears to be a hidden gem, with a menu that promises a journey through a variety of delicious dishes. For local users looking for a Chinese restaurant that offers both exceptional food and warm, personal service, Peng's Asian Cuisine is worth exploring.

One of the standout features of Peng's Asian Cuisine is the high praise for the food quality. A first-time customer was so impressed that they expressed a desire to slowly sample almost everything on the menu, indicating a broad appeal and consistently high standards across their offerings. This suggests that Peng's is not just a place for a quick meal but a destination for a comprehensive and satisfying culinary experience.

A particular highlight mentioned by this reviewer was the Mapo tofu, which they described as one of the best renditions of the dish they had ever tasted, even when compared to versions sampled in other locations. Mapo tofu is a Sichuan classic known for its bold and complex flavors, so this high praise suggests that Peng's excels in preparing authentic and well-executed regional Chinese specialties.

Beyond the exceptional food, Peng's Asian Cuisine also stands out for its remarkable service. One customer shared a heartwarming anecdote about their waitress recognizing them from a visit to a different restaurant (Golden Palace on Capital Blvd) nine years prior, where both she and the chef at Peng's had worked at the time. This level of personal connection and memory speaks volumes about the dedication and attentiveness of the staff, creating a welcoming and familiar atmosphere for returning customers.

Customers who have had the pleasure of dining in at Peng's have also shared positive experiences. One reviewer detailed their meal, which included appetizers like crab rangoons and egg rolls, as well as entrees of General Tso's chicken and broccoli & beef. While they noted that the appetizers were a little cooler in the middle, they still found them to be "really yummy" with crispy shells and great fillings. This minor point did not detract significantly from their overall enjoyment of the meal.

The entrees were described as the "star of the show," with the fried rice being "pretty good" but the chicken and beef being particularly noteworthy for being "so flavorful and moist" and tasting "amazing." This indicates that Peng's excels in preparing classic Chinese-American dishes with a focus on taste and texture, ensuring a satisfying main course experience.

The same reviewer also highlighted the "sweetest couple running everything" who, along with the chef, do a "fantastic job." This personal touch and the evident care taken by the owners and staff contribute significantly to the positive dining experience at Peng's. It suggests a family-run establishment where passion for food and customer satisfaction are top priorities.

While the reviews primarily focus on the food and service experienced during a dine-in visit, the positive comments about the quality and flavor of the dishes suggest that takeout orders would likely be of a similar high standard. Local users looking for reliable and delicious Chinese takeout in the Morrisville area should consider Peng's based on these glowing recommendations.

The address of Peng's Asian Cuisine, located within the Factory Shops Rd, might suggest a casual and accessible dining environment. However, the emphasis on delicious, well-prepared food and attentive service indicates that the quality of the dining experience goes beyond just the location. The mention of a "sweetest couple running everything" further hints at a warm and inviting atmosphere for those who choose to dine in.

Tried Peng's for the first time and I will absolutely be going back to slowly eat my way through almost everything on the menu. Everything we ordered was wonderful, especially the Mapo tofu which was one of the best renditions of the dish that I've had. Additionally, our awesome waitress remembered us from 9 years previous from a visit to Golden Palace on Capital Blvd (where she and the chef at Peng's worked at the time).

We had the pleasure of dining in! We tried the crab rangoons and egg rolls, as well as the general tsao chicken and broccoli & beef! The appetizers were a little cooler in the middle but still really yummy! Crispy shells with great fillings! The meals were the star of the show! Fried rice pretty good but the chicken and beef were so flavorful and moist, and tasted amazing!! The sweetest couple running everything do a fantastic job, as does the chef!

Peng's is one of the best local finds I've discovered trying restaurants since my recent move to the area. I had the spicy wontons appetizer. For my main, I had string beans with ground pork, spicy chicken, and eggplant with garlic sauce casserole. Everything was delicious. The ingredients were fresh and the flavors were well considered. I highly recommend giving this place a try because my experience was delightful and I'm confident yours would be too! I look forward to trying more dishes here during future visits.

This is the best Asian food in NC I’ve ever had in my life!! Born here and never tasted such great quality until now. Felt like I was in local Chinatown with the flavors. If you’re off the plane or waiting to catch one RUN don’t walk and grab some food to go. They are worth a stop and return visit.

Overall Rating: 5.8/10 This dining spot provides a casual family-style atmosphere with service that outshines its setting, delivering a mixed experience where respectful, attentive service compensates for an ambiance that lacks professionalism and cleanliness. Atmosphere: 5.7/10 The restaurant offers a low-tier family vibe that feels more like a takeout place with a decent dining area rather than a refined eatery. The less-than-pristine condition contributes to a casual, unpolished dining atmosphere. Service: 6.2/10 Service was a highlight, characterized by extremely respectful and attentive staff. The cold water service was prompt, and the staff made efforts to ensure accuracy by reviewing the receipt, indicating a commitment to customer satisfaction despite the busy environment. Food: General Tso Chicken: 5.3/10 While the chicken was perfectly cooked and crispy, the flavor profile leaned towards a bold soy tang rather than the expected spicy sweetness. The inclusion of unwanted carrots and the absence of chili peppers detracted from the authenticity of the dish. Beef Fried Rice: 6.3/10 The rice was freshly cooked, fluffy, and light, with well-cooked beef and a satisfactory portion size. However, the flavor was somewhat bland, needing more seasoning to elevate it. Cheese Wonton: 2.2/10 This dish was disappointing, with a hard, stale shell that lacked the expected crispiness and flakiness. The overall quality and taste were underwhelming. Pork Lo Mein: 6.2/10 The noodles were flavorful, with a bold Lo Mein taste and well-cooked beef, making this dish one of the more successful offerings. Value: 6.1/10 The pricing aligns with the quality and overall dining experience, making it a fair choice for those seeking a casual meal without high expectations for the dining environment.
