About Peking Restaurant

Peking Restaurant, a long-standing Chinese restaurant located at 8566 Westminster Blvd., Westminster, CA 92683, USA, offers a taste of traditional Chinese cuisine in Orange County. You can reach them at (714) 893-3020 or +1 714-893-3020.

Described by patrons as an "old school, hole-in-the-wall" establishment, Peking Restaurant focuses on delivering quality, nostalgic-style dishes rather than trendy decor. It's a place where the food speaks for itself, making it a favorite for those seeking authentic flavors.

The menu features a variety of classic Chinese dishes that have been enjoyed by families for years. Customer favorites include the honey walnut shrimp, sesame chicken (noted for its flavor comparable to orange and sweet & sour chicken), chop suey, steamed dumplings, beef roll/Lu-Lee roll, fried rice, chicken with mushrooms, pan-fried beef noodle, and mu shu pork. These dishes are consistently prepared to a high standard, ensuring a satisfying meal.

The dining area is characterized as humble and family-friendly, providing a comfortable setting for groups to enjoy their meals. Customers have also highlighted the generous portion sizes, with some dishes being large enough to share between two to three people. A complimentary large bowl of rice is often provided, further adding to the value.

For payment, Peking Restaurant prefers cash, and a sign at the front desk indicates that paying in cash may help avoid extra fees. While takeout is popular, online ordering currently requires a credit card, and an option to order online and pay in cash upon pickup has not yet been found. If you plan to dine in or order in person, it is advisable to bring cash.

Don't miss the highly recommended onion pancake, praised as exceptionally delicious. Whether you're looking to dine in with family or grab a satisfying takeout order, Peking Restaurant offers a reliable and authentic Chinese culinary experience in Westminster.

Old school, hole-in-the-wall, yes it's all true and I love it that way. It's not the type of place that tries to impress you with fancy decor or trendy food, but instead relies on their quality, nostalgic-style dishes. For this reason, Peking Restaurant is, hands down, my favorite Chinese food in Orange County. Excellent food that my family and I have enjoyed repeatedly at Peking Restaurant: honey walnut shrimp, sesame chicken (just as flavorful as orange chicken and sweet & sour chicken, but for some reason underrated. It's not really all that spicy, despite the name), chop suey, steamed dumplings, beef roll/Lu-Lee roll, fried rice, chicken with mushrooms, pan fried beef noodle, mu shu pork. This restaurant knows how to make these classics just right, and your group will feel at home in their humble, family-friendly dining area. There is a sign at the front desk that you can avoid extra fees if you pay in cash. Since I always go for takeout however, ordering online requires a credit card and I've not yet found an option that lets me order online and still pay in cash at the restaurant. This is apparently their preferred form of payment, so bring plenty of cash if you plan to order in person or dine in.

Hole in the wall, kind of pricey but after sampling it was worth it. We had the pork fried rice, kung pow beef and mu shu pork. All were delicious.

Delicious! Fast and friendly service. Food was served hot. The noodles were cooked perfectly… not mushy and seasoned without too much salt. The fried dumplings were tasty too. I highly recommend this restaurant… I’ll be back to try a few more dishes.

Amazing home cooked, authentic Chinese food. Northern style. Must try the pan-fried dumplings, and Kung Pao chicken. Braised green beans were fantastic. Beef roll is tasty, generous, crispy and not greasy or heavy. Everything was delicious. They do charge a credit card fee you may want to avoid by bringing cash presently.
