5 Stars Had lunch at Perking Restaurant in New Braunfels today, and it was a great experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with a relaxed vibe that’s perfect for a midday break. The staff were super friendly and attentive without being overbearing. I ordered sweet and sour chicken and pepper steak , and it was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. You can tell they take pride in their food. The menu had a good variety too, something for everyone. I also appreciated how clean everything was, from the dining area to the restrooms. Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area and looking for a solid spot for lunch. I’ll be back for sure!

Sesame chicken & Hunan dishes are delicious! Pleasant staff, fast service, and generous portions at an excellent price. It's a great little family owned restaurant. The building is about 50 years old so the facility is dated but tables are not all packed together :)

I stopped by to pick up an order for general tso with steamed rice. I thought they made a mistake with my order because I had never had general tsos with veggies in the sauce. The waitress reassured me that the order given to me was indeed general tso. So I go home wondering if I’m going to like it. Wow! To my surprise, this Chinese food was really delicious. This is a quaint little “hole in the wall “ Chinese restaurant, very quiet and serene. I totally recommend it!

I have passed by this place for years and just realized I was missing out on a hidden gem. Mongolian beef, hot and sour soup, cheese Rangoons, and fried wontons for under 12 dollars. Food is fantastic and the lady that helped me was more than accommodating. Definitely worth your time.
