About Peking One Chinese Restaurant

Peking One Chinese Restaurant, situated at 16229 SW 88th St in Miami, Florida, has been serving the West Kendall community for a significant period, establishing itself as a long-standing option within the "Chinese Restaurant" platform category. This family-run establishment, reportedly operated by a family of three, including two elderly members, focuses primarily on takeout service, offering a range of Chinese dishes to local users in the Miami area.

As a Chinese takeout restaurant, Peking One aims to provide convenient access to Chinese cuisine for those who prefer to dine at home or elsewhere. While the reviews offer limited insight into the interior environment or any potential dine-in facilities, the emphasis on takeout suggests that the primary focus is on efficient order preparation and delivery (though delivery service is not explicitly mentioned, takeout is the clear focus). The longevity of the restaurant, as highlighted by one reviewer noting they've "been there Forever," implies a degree of community trust and consistent service over time.

The services offered by Peking One Chinese Restaurant appear to be centered around takeout. Customers can likely place orders via phone, using the provided numbers (305) 388-8816 or +1 305-388-8816, and then pick up their food from the establishment. The positive review mentions "Delicious chinese," suggesting that the core service of providing tasty food has been a hallmark of their operation for a long time. However, a starkly contrasting recent review raises serious concerns about hygiene, which could significantly impact the perception of their services.

One of the notable features of Peking One, according to a positive review, is the quality of certain dishes. The reviewer specifically recommends the "Mandarin hot wings," the "General Tso's chkn," and the "Young Chow fried rice with mixed veggies added in," describing them all as "Bomb." These recommendations can be valuable for new customers looking for popular and well-regarded items on their menu. The fact that these dishes have been consistently good enough to warrant such praise over a long period speaks to a potential strength in their traditional offerings.

However, a severely negative recent review presents a drastically different perspective. This customer described Peking One as "the most disgusting place I’ve visited in my whole life," citing the appearance of the "pick up window" as indicative of unhygienic conditions. This is a serious accusation that could deter potential customers. The reviewer also stated that they could not eat the food due to concerns about the cleanliness of the place where it was prepared. Furthermore, their family members who did try the food reportedly found it to be "bland, old and disgusting," leading them to conclude to "NEVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN." This customer also mentioned throwing away their $100 order, highlighting a significant financial loss and extreme dissatisfaction.

The stark contrast between these two reviews is significant. The positive review suggests a long-standing tradition of delicious Chinese takeout, while the negative review paints a picture of severe hygiene issues and poor food quality. Potential local users are thus presented with conflicting information and should consider both perspectives when deciding whether to order from Peking One Chinese Restaurant.

There is no promotional information provided in the reviews. As such, we cannot comment on any special offers, discounts, or new menu items that Peking One might be promoting to attract customers. Local users interested in any potential promotions would need to contact the restaurant directly.

In conclusion, Peking One Chinese Restaurant in West Kendall, Miami, has a history of providing Chinese takeout, with some customers praising specific dishes like the Mandarin hot wings, General Tso's chicken, and Young Chow fried rice. The longevity of the establishment suggests a degree of past success and community presence. However, a recent and highly critical review raises serious concerns about the hygiene of the premises and the quality of the food, describing it as "bland, old, and disgusting." This significant discrepancy in customer experiences means that potential local users should approach Peking One with caution and consider the possibility of inconsistent quality and hygiene standards. While some may have had positive experiences with their food in the past, the recent negative feedback is a serious warning that should not be ignored. It would be prudent for prospective customers to weigh these contrasting views carefully before placing an order.

For local users in the 16229 SW 88th St area of Miami looking for Chinese takeout, Peking One offers a convenient location and a menu with some historically praised items. However, the very serious allegations of unhygienic conditions and poor food quality in a recent review cannot be dismissed. Without further information or more balanced recent feedback, it is difficult to provide a definitive recommendation. Potential customers might want to consider these factors and perhaps exercise caution or seek more recent opinions before deciding to order from Peking One Chinese Restaurant. Contacting the restaurant directly might provide some reassurance or further clarification, but the strong negative review remains a significant point of concern.

The most disgusting place I’ve visited in my whole life. Just look at the pick up window. To eat from the hands of such an unhygienic place had my stomach twisting and turning. I couldn’t eat the food, my family tried it cause I didn’t show them the images right away to give the benefit of the doubt and they said NEVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN THIS FOOD IS BLAND, OLD AND DISGUSTING. We ended up throwing away the food, it was $100 down the drain :(

The price in the menu is not the price that they charged me. The wontons taste stale and old. The shrimp and vegetables smell like rotten shrimp bait. The shrimp in lobster sauce has egg whites instead of lobster sauce. The egg rolls they served didn't have any meat and are the size of spring rolls. This place is terrible I will never return here.

Place seems very dirty and not taken care of poor maintenance. Outdated menus of several years with written prices on them. Ordered general Tso and beef lo mein the general Tso was not that good to much sauce, and the chicken had stringy chewy consistency. On the other hand the beef lo mein was very good.

Best hot and sour tofu soup in town and the special fried rice is full of protein. Me and my wife eat here for around 20 bucks. They also have lunch specials before 3:30.
