About Peking

Peking is a Chinese restaurant located at 5526 Peach St, Erie, PA 16509, USA. You can contact them at (814) 866-8000 or +1 814-866-8000. As a local Chinese restaurant, Peking offers both dine-in and takeout/delivery services to the Erie community.

Customer reviews offer mixed perspectives on Peking. One reviewer described the Chinese food as excellent and particularly suitable for takeout. However, they found the eat-in experience to be serviceable but lacking in atmosphere.

Another customer reported a positive experience with the food quality but expressed dissatisfaction with the delivery service. While they appreciated the convenience of ordering through an app, they were unhappy with the delivery time, which took over an hour despite them living nearby. They also noted issues with their order, including missing napkins, an insufficient amount of sauce for the egg rolls, and being charged for shrimp egg rolls despite receiving the cheaper regular egg rolls as a replacement due to unavailability. The delivery person reportedly offered no apology. Due to these issues with the delivery service and order accuracy, this customer stated they would not order from Peking again.

For local users in Erie, PA, Peking appears to be a Chinese restaurant that offers good quality food, especially for takeout. However, the dine-in environment may not be the most appealing. If considering delivery, it's important to be aware of potential issues with delivery time, order accuracy, and missing items based on recent customer feedback. If convenience is a priority and you live close by, takeout might be a more reliable option. It may be prudent to double-check your order if opting for delivery.

Excellent Chinese food. Perfect for takeout. Eat-in experience is serviceable but lack luster.

Let me start by saying food was good but I wont be ordering from them again. I love the convenience of ordering through the app. Dont like it took over an hour for our food to get delivered and we live right around the corner from location (did not do take out due to hard to get in and out of this location ). Our order came with no napkins, ordered 4 egg rolls and only 2 things of sauce, no apology from the delivery guy and they didn't have any shrimp egg rolls so I replaced with regular egg rolls which are cheaper than shrimp and I still got charged for shrimp. Never again, I'll use my hard earned money at other restaurants.

Fast Chinese food. Around $10-$15 dishes, but the portion size is large. Small restaurant with styrofoam plates and plastic utensils, which surprised me a bit. But food is comparable to other Chinese places.

We wanted an alternative to a buffet. Afterwards we wished we had gone to the buffet. I ordered lobster lomain and I got maybe 6 pieces of crayfish in it instead of lobster...I guess they kinda do look like mini lobsters lol. It was the only Chinese restaurant we ever walked into at 4pm on a sunday that did not smell like cooking food...that alone should of been our indication to leave. Everything was $1 to $2 more on our bill then printed on the menu. The entire time we were there they only had 1 phone order come in, I don't know how they stay open. The food was OK. My favorite soup is wonton but this was overly salty and the wonton tasted like an old refrigerator, i could not eat it. We won't go there again. And it ended up costing us 25% more than the Chinese buffet before the tip. Never again.
