About Peking Nagoya

Welcome to Peking Nagoya, a Chinese restaurant located at 254 Three Springs Dr in Weirton, West Virginia. Operating within the Chinese Restaurant category, Peking Nagoya aims to provide a diverse dining experience for the local community. Based on recent customer feedback available online, the restaurant appears to offer an Asian buffet with a variety of options, including Chinese cuisine and sushi.

One customer described their first-time experience as "nice," highlighting several positive aspects of the restaurant's environment. They noted a "low-key chill Vibe," suggesting a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere suitable for casual dining. The restaurant was also described as "family friendly," indicating that it welcomes diners of all ages. Practical aspects such as "lots of parking" and a "convenient location right off the freeway" were mentioned as benefits, making it easily accessible for both local residents and those traveling through the area. Furthermore, the reviewer praised the cleanliness of the restrooms and the accessibility for handicapped individuals, suggesting attention to guest comfort and convenience.

In terms of services, Peking Nagoya primarily functions as a dine-in restaurant featuring a buffet. The buffet style allows customers to sample a wide array of dishes. One positive review mentioned "lots of very well made tasted home-cooked-small batches food" and "wide variety something for everyone," implying a substantial selection of dishes catering to different tastes and dietary preferences. The reviewer also specifically noted the availability of "lots of options for people with dietary restrictions," which could be a significant advantage for diners with specific needs.

However, it is crucial to present a balanced perspective based on all available feedback. Another recent review paints a starkly different picture of the dining experience at Peking Nagoya. This customer strongly advised against eating at the restaurant, expressing surprise that it was still open. Their experience involved a plate of food where "everything was chewy or slimy," indicating potential issues with food texture and quality. More concerningly, they reported that the food was not served at the correct temperature, with "sushi and raw shrimp" being warm and hot dishes being "luke warm at best," while egg rolls were described as "soggy." These issues raise significant concerns about food safety and preparation standards.

The negative review further detailed poor customer service. The customer stated that despite not eating much of the food due to its quality, they were still made to pay for their meal, as well as for two half-empty sodas. This lack of accommodation for a severely unsatisfactory dining experience suggests a potential issue with the restaurant's customer service approach. The reviewer also gave a rating of "0" for food, customer service, and cleanliness, indicating a highly negative overall impression.

Considering these contrasting reviews, it is challenging to definitively characterize the "features" of Peking Nagoya. One customer highlighted the variety and seemingly home-cooked quality of the food, along with the family-friendly atmosphere and convenient location. However, the other review strongly contradicts this, pointing to severe problems with food quality, temperature, texture, and customer service. The presence of sushi in an Asian buffet is a common feature, suggesting a broader offering beyond traditional Chinese dishes.

Don't....eat....here. I'm surprised they are even open. I went there the other day, got a plate of food. Everything was chewy or slimy, definitely not to temp (sushi and raw shrimp was warm, everything that was supposed to be hot were luke warm at best, egg rolls were even soggy). I didn't eat much after seeing/tasting what was going on. Told them I was leaving, didn't care too much for it and went to leave. They still made me pay. Two people had half a soda each, not even half plate of food between us was eaten. I love Asian buffets but this isn't it. Food - 0 Customer service - 0 Cleanliness - 0 If u eat here. That's on you.

My mom and I visited the restaurant yesterday. The food was cold and there was very little of it on the bar with most pans left empty. The waitress did not speak to us beyond asking us what we would like to drink. The food that was on the bar was luke warm and full of grease most food undercooked. We set there for a while and only a few pans of food was brought out that were still only warm and full of grease.

After an awful experience yesterday at a different Chinese restaurant, we still wanted a good Chinese meal so we decided to stop in here. GREAT choice on our part!! First: It used to be a buffet, but is now a "proper sit-down" where you order from a menu. New owner, new way of doing things. (We went a few times while it was still a buffet, but the quality had gone down so we stopped going for a while). We walked in and could smell how nice and clean it was! We were greeted by a very friendly woman who seated us and took our drink orders. We ordered spring rolls for our appetizer and when those came out we were THRILLED with how beautiful they looked! They were lightly fried in CLEAN oil (you can tell when old/dirty oil is used - and this was not the case, here!). The flavor was quite pleasant, so we were extremely relieved and happy. We both ordered Miso Soup with our meals. The server asked if we knew what it was (I'm guessing she's heard some complaints from customers who are unfamiliar?) and was happy when we told her we know what it is and we love it! (Photo taken after I added soy sauce ... my only complaint on this would be that I am a bit of a salt-aholic and it could have used more miso and a bit more flavor in the soup base). Finally, our meals came out and they were FANTASTIC! The fried rice was fresh - not stale or dried out, and all veggies were obviously fresh before cooking and we could taste the sesame oil (yum!) used in our food. Great service and absolutely the best Chinese/Japanese food we've had in the area!
