About Peking Kitchen - Weymouth

Peking Kitchen - Weymouth, located at 35 Commercial St, Weymouth, MA 02188, USA, operates as a Chinese restaurant primarily offering takeout and meal delivery services. It is important for potential customers to be aware that Peking Kitchen - Weymouth is a cash-only establishment, as they do not accept any form of digital payment. While there are ATMs in the vicinity, including one nearby and a bank down the street, customers should plan accordingly.

Based on customer reviews, the delivery service is noted to have cordial drivers. However, opinions on the food itself are mixed. One customer expressed significant dissatisfaction with the taste of their order, describing a tangy and indifferent flavor, and stated they would not order again. They acknowledged that not all dishes in a large order were bad but a significant portion was unappealing.

Another customer found the food to be "okay," noting that while the lo mein and egg foo yung were not the best they had experienced, the crab rangoon was considerably better than others. A prominent feature mentioned in this review is the extremely large portion sizes. A single order of egg foo yung reportedly lasted for three days, and a single box of lo mein was too much for one person to finish before it spoiled. This suggests that Peking Kitchen may offer generous quantities of food, which could be a benefit for those looking for value or planning to share meals.

One reviewer also shared an experience of having a lengthy but somewhat difficult conversation with the owner due to language barriers while waiting for their order on a quiet holiday night. This interaction does not directly reflect the typical service but provides insight into a possible personal touch from the owner.

In summary, Peking Kitchen - Weymouth is a cash-only Chinese takeout and delivery restaurant in Weymouth, MA. Customers can expect large portion sizes and friendly delivery service. However, reviews on the taste of the food are mixed, with some finding it satisfactory and others expressing disappointment. It may be a suitable option for those prioritizing quantity and paying with cash, but individuals with specific taste preferences might want to consider the varied feedback.

The only good experience I had was I had a cordial delivery driver. It was my first time ordering from here and honestly I won't order from here again as I didn't like the taste of the food at all. I did a big order so not all of it was bad but a big portion of it was just tasted to tangy and indifferent. Never will order from here again. Sorry if you were once good maybe look into going back to it ok.

Off the get: THEY ONLY ACCEPT CASH. Ignoring that it's REALLY weird to outright deny any form of digital payment in [CURRENT YEAR], I think every single place up this section of street has an ATM, and there's a bank down on the corner next to 7-Eleven. Just fair warning. I had a lovely conversation with the owner while waiting for my food, but it was clear that we were having problems understanding each other. Despite that, she just kept wanting to chat with me. It was absolutely dead that night because it was late and a holiday, so nobody was out. So I think she was just bored? I really can't blame her; so was I. It's why I was even there at all. xD The food was...okay? I've had better lo mein and way better egg foo yung, but I've also had way WAY worse crab rangoon. My main complaint was that it was just...WAY too much food. I know that's like...part and parcel whenever you order Chinese but...JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZ it was an avalanche of noodles in a single box. A single order of egg foo yung fed me for three days -- and I notoriously have a bottomless stomach. The crab rangoon was gone before I got home (I live across the street lol) and the lo mein went bad before I finished it because there was just...TOO MUCH for one person to eat alone. Maybe I'm an idiot for ordering three different dishes of Chinese food for JUST me, but holy hells I didn't expect to have one of the MAIN DISHES go actually rancid in my fridge because it took so long for me to get through it. IT WAS A SINGLE BOX. WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE'S STILL HALF LEFT AFTER FOUR DAYS OF LUNCHES??? So yeah. Definitely not a single-eater place if you order anything other than the combo plates. But I only spent $30 for all of that, not counting the tip. So like...that's fair I guess? I should've frozen half of it...jklfdjal;jfl;dajfda

I was a long time customer of Peking Kitchen - it was the only Chinese food place we'd go to because it was SO GOOD. Everyone knew our names and we knew theirs. Sadly about a year or so ago, the quality took a dive. We kept going back hoping it was just a weird period of time but it kept getting worse - sometimes becoming inedible. The staff are lovely and the food used to be the best around - I still crave it! I hope they address whatever changed so we can get back in there. We miss it!

I have been a customer for over 14 years. The last order of bone in spareribs was burned so bad they were unedible. It was freezing cold out and I was sick or I would have brought them back. I took a picture and went to speak to them a few days later. I was told because I didn't call that day there was nothing they could do. I didn't do anything that day because I was hungry, angry, and didn't feel well. Once you take the food home you shouldn't have to go back out and take it back. I thought as a customer for years they would make good on it. WRONG..not good business. Is it necessary to check the food before you leave? Shouldn't be!

Service is nice. Always get what I ask for. The food is very good. It can take a little time to be ready, but really, not bad.
