About Peking Garden Chinese Restaurant

Welcome to Peking Garden Chinese Restaurant, a dining establishment situated within the food court section of Paldo Market, located at 9701 S Tacoma Way #115 in Lakewood, Washington, 98499, USA. As a part of the Chinese Restaurant category, Peking Garden offers local users a convenient option for enjoying a variety of Chinese dishes while visiting Paldo Market or as a destination for a satisfying meal. Customer reviews highlight the consistently good quality of their food and a selection of popular dishes, making it a noteworthy choice within the Lakewood culinary scene.

The environment of Peking Garden Chinese Restaurant is explicitly described as being "inside Paldo Market in Lakewood on South Tacoma Way in the food court section." This indicates that the restaurant operates within a shared dining area, likely characterized by a casual and bustling atmosphere typical of food courts. While it may not offer the intimate ambiance of a standalone restaurant, its location within a marketplace provides convenience for shoppers and those seeking a quick and tasty meal while running errands. The seating would likely be communal or consist of tables and chairs shared among the various food vendors in the food court.

In terms of services, Peking Garden primarily functions as a counter-service eatery within the food court. Customers can expect to place their orders at the counter, and the food will be prepared for immediate consumption, either to be eaten at the food court seating or taken away. One reviewer mentioned enjoying their meal as a "good lunch," suggesting that Peking Garden caters well to those looking for a midday meal option. The focus appears to be on efficient service to accommodate the flow of market visitors and lunch crowds. While specific details about table service or other amenities are not provided, the food court setting implies a straightforward and convenient service model.

One of the standout features of Peking Garden Chinese Restaurant is the consistently high quality of its food, as noted by a long-term customer who stated, "The food has always been very good here." This suggests a level of reliability and consistency in their culinary offerings, which can be a significant draw for repeat customers. The menu includes a variety of dishes that have garnered positive feedback. One particularly enjoyed item (though not pictured by the reviewer) is the spicy fried chicken wings, priced at $24 plus tax. This suggests a potentially generous portion or a unique and flavorful preparation that justifies the price point. The reviewer also recommended the spicy seafood noodle soup as a good choice, indicating that Peking Garden offers flavorful and satisfying soup options as well.

Another customer enthusiastically shared that Peking Garden is their "favorite place to come for Mongolian beef, jjajang, jjampong, and sweet and sour beef." This highlights a broader range of popular and perhaps more specialized dishes that Peking Garden excels at preparing. Mongolian beef is a classic American Chinese dish known for its savory and slightly sweet sauce with tender beef and crispy noodles. Jjajang and jjampong are Korean-Chinese noodle dishes, with jjajang featuring a black bean sauce and jjampong being a spicy seafood noodle soup. The inclusion of these dishes suggests that Peking Garden's menu might have some Korean-Chinese influences or that they have successfully mastered these popular items. The sweet and sour beef is another familiar favorite that rounds out this customer's list of highly recommended dishes.

The same reviewer who praised the Mongolian beef and other dishes also commented that "the food and service are always amazing!" This reinforces the positive feedback regarding the quality of the food and extends it to the service provided at Peking Garden. Consistent positive remarks about both food and service are strong indicators of a well-run and customer-focused establishment.

It is important to note a point raised by one reviewer regarding the pricing at Peking Garden. They mentioned that "prices may seem a little high due increases in food cost, labor, rent, business taxes." This provides valuable context for potential customers, suggesting that while the food is good, the cost might be slightly higher than some other options due to the economic realities affecting the restaurant industry. Local users should be aware of this potential price point and factor it into their decision-making process.

As Peking Garden is located within Paldo Market, it benefits from the market's traffic and accessibility. Paldo Market, being a specific location on South Tacoma Way in Lakewood, is likely a well-known landmark for local residents, making Peking Garden relatively easy to find for those familiar with the area. The specific unit number (#115) within the market helps pinpoint its exact location within the food court.

The provided information does not include any specific details about current promotions or special offers at Peking Garden Chinese Restaurant. Local users interested in potential discounts, daily specials, or combination deals should inquire directly at the restaurant counter when placing their order. Given its location within a market, promotions might be tied to market events or seasonal offerings, so it's always best to check with the vendor directly for the most up-to-date information.

In conclusion, Peking Garden Chinese Restaurant, situated within the food court of Paldo Market in Lakewood, offers local users consistently good Chinese cuisine, with standout dishes like spicy fried chicken wings, spicy seafood noodle soup, Mongolian beef, jjajang, jjampong, and sweet and sour beef receiving high praise. The service is also noted to be amazing. While prices might be slightly higher due to increasing operational costs, the quality of the food appears to justify the expense for many customers. Its location within a bustling marketplace makes it a convenient option for a quick and satisfying meal. This is inside Paldo Market in Lakewood on South Tacoma Way in the food court section. The food has always been very good here. However, prices may seem a little high due increases in food cost, labor, rent, business taxes. I enjoy (not pictured) spicy fried chicken wings ($24 + tax). Their spicy seafood noodle soup is a good choice also. This is a place to enjoy a good lunch.

Gapong Chicken and Jahm Pong Fried boneless chicken pretty good. Huge portions. Felt like two meals. Spicy Seafood Soup with Noodles I thought it was OK. Soup a bit bland. Had oyster, squid, and shrimp. Lots of noodles.

This is our stopover on the way to our other home in WA. We love the jjajangmyeon and the sweet and sour pork. The jjampong is also delicious and spicy. Service is fast and really, who cares it is in a food court if the food is great?

This is my favorite Asian food. Every time I go and try something new, it's always phenomenal. My favorite so far is the sweet and sour pork, but that doesn't mean that every dish isn't mind blowing. In fact I have never had one thing I wouldn't order again. I really love that they give you all the little sides with it. Their kim chi is mind blowing and it's always gone before our dish even gets to the table.
