About Peking Express | since 1984

Peking Express, located at 217 Parliament St, Toronto, ON M5A 2Z4, Canada, has been serving the Toronto area as a Chinese Restaurant since 1984, primarily focused on meal takeaway. While it has a history in the local community, recent customer reviews suggest a decline in food quality compared to past experiences.

As a Chinese fast food establishment offering takeaway, Peking Express aims to provide convenient meal options. However, recent feedback indicates potential issues with the quality of some dishes. One customer reported significant disappointment with the Sweet and Sour Chicken, stating that it contained very little meat (approximately 10%) and was mostly breading. They also described the wings as recooked and dry, akin to reheated leftovers. Furthermore, this customer noted that the steamed rice was undercooked, suggesting a lack of proper preparation.

Another customer's experience involved receiving chips instead of the ordered fried wontons, and they humorously mentioned finding only "one crumb of meat in the middle just for fun," expressing extreme disappointment with their order.

These recent reviews raise concerns about the current quality and consistency of the food offered by Peking Express. The first reviewer, who had positive experiences in the past, indicated that they would not be ordering again in the near future due to the perceived decline in quality relative to the price paid. No information regarding the restaurant's environment (as it primarily functions as a takeaway), specific services beyond order fulfillment, features, or any current promotional offers is available in the provided customer feedback.

For those considering ordering from Peking Express for takeaway, it is advisable to take these recent customer experiences into account. You can contact them at (416) 367-9580 or +1 416-367-9580 for inquiries or to place an order from their location at 217 Parliament St in Toronto.

I used to order from here few years ago, and it was good, fair with quality and quantity. Now, I pay a visit since its been a while and see. What happened to the quality? 1. The S&S Chicken, don't even enough piece of meat inside, its literally 10% meat, 90% breaded. 2. The wings are re-cooked and dried like a left-over, that's only been heated. 3. The steam rice is not cooked well, its a bit uncooked-lacking water, I get it, this is supposed to be a next day rice for fried rice, but please at least seperate the ones for steam rice instead. For price of $15 including tax. I didn't really enjoy the food I spend. I know few other Chinese Fast Food, who offered more meatier and better quality, and fair for same price with drinks too. I'm sorry but I'll pass for now till then.

My fiancée ordered fried wontons and they sent her chips. One crumb of meat in the middle just for fun. Really extremely disappointed.

This was one of my worst Asian takeout experiences. Chicken fried rice was garnished with chicken fragments, devoid of everything else but soy sauce. The price doesn't justify the quality, it's a rip off. The lemon chicken was absolutely garbage. ..... Also if you are in a rush, add 15 min extra to the time they give you.

Damn — I’m blown away by how subpar this neighborhood institution was. I try my best to not dunk on small/local businesses (peep my review history you’ll see) but where’s the 0.5* option… Got Combo #6 (fried rice, spring roll, beef broccoli, and chicken balls). The only thing worth having was the spring roll - probably because it was frozen and they didn’t make it. Otherwise. The fried rice is just a greasy, oily mess that I couldn’t cook as bad on my most depressed and inebriated day. The “beef broccoli” - or should I say mushy broccoli with a surprise cameo featuring four half-pinky finger morsels of beef were an aggravating let down. The chicken balls were doughy, dry, and tasteless save for the sweet and sour sauce they came with. I imagine the stress ball on my desk, once slathered in the S/S sauce, would have a similar taste and texture. Holy moly I wouldn’t feed this to my enemies. Do yourself a favour and grab Sambusas from Wanaag across the street and a pizza from Nour Pizza up the street. It’s too bad I was really looking forward to the meal to break my fast on. Only other positive was the woman taking orders at the front was friendly and helpful.

Peking Express is consistently excellent every time. Not only is the food fresh and delicious but they have great specials, combos and deals. Also, they have their own delivery service and every driver has been so kind and friendly. Well priced and generous portions. Keep up the good work!
