Welcome to Peking Duck House, a distinguished Chinese restaurant located at 1200 E Atlantic Blvd in Pompano Beach, Florida. As a valued member of the Chinese Restaurant category, Peking Duck House distinguishes itself by offering a primarily dine-in experience, deviating from the typical takeout-centric establishments. Based on customer feedback, Peking Duck House boasts a notably attractive interior. One reviewer described the decoration as "Asian inspired and beautiful," indicating a thoughtful design that contributes to the dining atmosphere. The restaurant has creatively utilized its "weird long L shape" layout, and the presence of high ceilings enhances the sense of sophistication within the space. This suggests that Peking Duck House has invested in creating an aesthetically pleasing environment for its patrons who choose to dine in.
The service at Peking Duck House has also been positively highlighted. One customer specifically mentioned their waitress, Nittaya, as being "very attentive, friendly and fast," and also "one of the sweetest and most kind waiters I’ve ever had." This personal commendation suggests a high standard of customer service, with staff members who are both efficient and personable, contributing significantly to a positive dining experience.
Regarding the cuisine, customer opinions are somewhat varied. One reviewer found the food to be "tasty, but not wow," indicating a satisfactory but perhaps not exceptional culinary experience overall. Specific dishes mentioned in this review include beef ribs and the Peking Duck itself. The reviewer expressed a desire for the beef ribs to be more tender and easily falling off the bone. Notably, they were disappointed with the preparation of the Peking Duck, stating that it "tasted deep fried" despite supposedly being boiled and then roasted, and found it to be "very very fatty," leading to a personal decision not to order it again. In contrast, the Mongolian beef was described as "tasty," although the portion size was perceived as "very little beef for a main dish."
Despite some reservations about specific dishes, the same reviewer acknowledged that Peking Duck House is "good for a Chinese place," suggesting an overall positive impression within the local context of Chinese cuisine. However, they also offered suggestions for improvement, such as dimming the lighting to create a cozier and more romantic ambiance at the tables, coupled with individual table lights to illuminate the food.
Another customer offered a more unequivocally positive review, describing Peking Duck House as a "nicely decorated and clean and well maintained establishment" with "beautiful interior decorations, amazing staff and great food." This perspective strongly recommends Peking Duck House as a destination for an "amazing dine in experience," explicitly stating that it is "not your every day Chinese takeout." This endorsement reinforces the idea that Peking Duck House prioritizes the in-house dining experience.
As a Chinese restaurant focusing on dine-in service, Peking Duck House offers an environment designed for a more leisurely and immersive dining experience compared to takeout-only establishments. The Asian-inspired decor and the reported cleanliness and maintenance of the premises contribute to this ambiance. The attentive and friendly service further enhances the experience for those choosing to eat at the restaurant.
The features of Peking Duck House appear to include a commitment to creating a visually appealing and comfortable dining space, coupled with a focus on providing attentive and friendly service. Their menu likely encompasses a range of classic and perhaps more specialized Chinese dishes, with Peking Duck being a signature item, as suggested by the restaurant's name. However, based on one review, the preparation of the Peking Duck may not always meet expectations. The mention of Mongolian beef also indicates the presence of popular dishes on their menu.

It is praised for its beautiful Asian-inspired decor, cleanliness, and the attentiveness of its staff, particularly the standout service provided by waiters like Nittaya. Customer Reviews
The parking lot was full when we arrived Friday evening, but we did find free street parking. The decoration inside the restaurant is Asian inspired and beautiful. They made the best out of this weird long L shape restaurant. The high ceilings make it look sophisticated. The waitress was very attentive, friendly and fast. The food was tasty, but not wow. I would’ve liked for the beef ribs to be more tender and coming off the bone. The peeling duck was supposed to be boiled and then roasted but it tasted deep fried! Very very fatty. I would not order this again. The Mongolian beef was tasty, but it was very little beef for a main dish! I would’ve liked if the ambience at our table would have been more cozy and romantic, like dimed lighting, and then a table light to light up the food! All in all it’s good for a Chinese place, but can be improved.
This is such a nicely decorated and clean and well maintained establishment. Beautiful interior decorations, amazing staff and great food. It is not your every day Chinese takeout and should definitely Come in for an amazing dine in experience. Nittaya is one of the sweetest and most kind waiters I’ve ever had serving us. Big smile and outgoing personality, quick and considerate
We have lived in the area for over four years and every time we passed it, it was under renovation. We went today for lunch and it was amazing! The food was really good. We will be back! I ordered the braised short ribs and my husband ordered the egg foo young. Love it!
Surprising experience based on everything we heard since the restaurant was sold to new owners. Everything is cleaner than ever and the food and service was outstanding. I think the menu prices are in line with all other restaurants in South Florida. My tofu dish was $14 and I took half of it home as the portions were huge. My wife had half a duck for $40 which is in line with other restaurants. The hot & sour soup for $6 was great and and although it does have a kick to it this is how I prefer this type of soup. Will go back again.
I looked back at the recent reviews in the past couple of months and about 95% of them are 5 stars! Was in town, so decided to give them a try. Possibly the best "Mongolian Beef" I have had! Ask for it spicy. Very clean inside and the decor was very well done too. Sure, they are a little more expensive then typical carry-out etc. but well worth it. Enjoy them a lot!
