About Peking Chinese Restaurant

Welcome to Peking Chinese Restaurant, situated at 1316 W Main St, Lebanon, TN 37087, USA. As a local establishment within the Chinese Restaurant category, Peking Chinese Restaurant offers a range of Chinese cuisine options for the Lebanon community. Based on recent customer feedback, it is important for local users to be aware of some concerns raised regarding the food quality and overall dining experience.

Due to the nature of the provided reviews, which focus primarily on the food quality, there is no descriptive information available regarding the environment or ambiance of Peking Chinese Restaurant. Customers did not comment on the decor, cleanliness, or overall atmosphere of the establishment. Therefore, an objective introduction cannot provide any details about the dining environment.

Similarly, the reviews do not offer specific insights into the services provided by Peking Chinese Restaurant, beyond the fact that they offer dine-in and takeout options, as customers refer to their meals ordered and received. There is no mention of the staff's friendliness, efficiency, or any specific service-related interactions. Therefore, a detailed description of the services offered cannot be accurately constructed based on the available information.

The primary feature highlighted in the recent customer reviews is the perceived quality and taste of the food, and unfortunately, the feedback is overwhelmingly negative. One reviewer described their experience as the "worst Chinese food" they and their boyfriend had ever had. They specifically criticized the General Tso's Chicken, noting its unpleasant flavor and the poor quality of the chicken itself. The Chicken and Broccoli was described as neither terrible nor good, simply "not normal Chinese food." Furthermore, the fried rice was also deemed atypical and lacking in good flavor. The egg roll ordered was also disliked by the customer. This reviewer expressed confusion regarding any positive reviews the restaurant might have received, stating that their $50 meal for two was not worth the cost and that they would not be returning.

Another customer echoed these negative sentiments, describing the food as "horrible" and noting issues with texture and flavor. They specifically mentioned soggy items that were supposedly deep-fried and flavorless noodles and rice. Adding to their disappointment, they reported that all four fortune cookies they received were stale. This reviewer expressed surprise at the restaurant's longevity, suggesting that the quality should be better given its history. The consistent negative feedback across these two recent reviews raises significant concerns about the current state of the food at Peking Chinese Restaurant.

Given these recent and strongly negative reviews, it is challenging to identify positive features of the restaurant based on this information. The consistent complaints about flavor, texture, and overall quality suggest potential issues with the food preparation or ingredients used. The discrepancy noted by one reviewer between their experience and potentially more positive past reviews indicates a possible decline in food quality over time.

For local users in Lebanon, Tennessee, who may be considering Peking Chinese Restaurant, it is crucial to be aware of the recent negative feedback regarding the food quality. The experiences of these customers suggest that the taste and texture of several dishes, including popular items like General Tso's Chicken and fried rice, may not meet expectations for typical Chinese cuisine. The reported issues with soggy fried items and stale fortune cookies further contribute to a negative impression. While the restaurant has been in business for a significant period, these recent reviews indicate a need for caution and perhaps further investigation by potential customers before deciding to dine in or order takeout.

The provided reviews do not contain any information about promotional offers or special deals at Peking Chinese Restaurant. Local users interested in potential discounts or promotions would need to contact the restaurant directly at (615) 449-3304 or +1 615-449-3304 to inquire. However, given the recent negative feedback regarding food quality, it might be prudent for potential customers to prioritize the quality of the food over any potential discounts.

In conclusion, the recent customer reviews for Peking Chinese Restaurant in Lebanon, TN, paint a concerning picture regarding the quality and taste of their food. Multiple reviewers described their meals as the worst Chinese food they had experienced, citing issues with flavor, texture, and freshness. While the restaurant has been in business for a long time, these recent experiences suggest a significant decline in quality. Local users in Lebanon are advised to take these reviews into serious consideration when making their dining choices. Without any positive feedback or information about the environment or services, the primary takeaway from the provided information is the strong dissatisfaction expressed by recent customers regarding the food.

This was the worst Chinese food me and my boyfriend have ever had. He had the general chicken (general tsos) and it was the worst flavor and chicken I’ve ever tasted and he agreed. I got the chicken and broccoli and it wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t good either. It just isn’t normal Chinese food. The fried rice isn’t typical fried rice either and also didn’t have good flavor. I’m not sure how this has so many good reviews but this definitely wasn’t worth it. He also got an egg roll and didn’t like it. Our meal was $50 and this place is NOT worth $50 for 2 meals. Won’t be a returning customer.

Horrible, Soggy items that are supposedly deep fried, flavorless noodles and rice and if that wasn’t enough fall 4 fortune cookies were stale. Not sure how this place has been around since the 80’s. They should know better.

I have childhood memories of comforting Chinese restaurants from the 80's that I've only sporadically been able to re-live since. With Peking Chinese in Lebanon, those happy memories come flooding back. The ingredients are always fresh, the portions plentiful, and the prices very affordable. This is not fancy by any stretch, but it has been consistent and always hits the spot. Yesterday, we got the "Family Dinner A" for 2: soups, egg rolls, Crab Rangoon, fried rice, Almond Chicken, and Sweet & Sour Pork at $13.50/pp. We stuffed ourselves at the restaurant and have plenty leftovers for lunch today.
