About Peking Chinese Restaurant

Peking Chinese Restaurant is located at 420 Park Blvd # 8 in Rogersville, TN. As a Chinese restaurant in the Rogersville area, it offers dine-in and takeout services. For inquiries or orders, they can be reached at (423) 272-8278 or +1 423-272-8278.

Based on recent customer reviews, Peking Chinese Restaurant has received overwhelmingly negative feedback regarding multiple aspects of the dining experience. One reviewer described the establishment as an "absolute disgrace," expressing extreme dissatisfaction with the food quality. They characterized the food as "disgusting—cold, flavorless, and downright inedible." Specific criticism was directed at the coconut chicken, which was described as so unpleasant that it almost induced vomiting. This strongly suggests significant issues with the preparation and taste of at least one of their signature dishes.

Furthermore, this reviewer raised serious concerns about the cleanliness of the restaurant, stating that it "looks and smells like a health inspector’s worst nightmare." Such a strong indictment points to potentially significant hygiene problems within the establishment, which would be a major deterrent for any prospective customers. The reviewer's overall assessment was unequivocally negative, urging others to "avoid Peking Chinese Restaurant like the plague" and labeling it as "the definition of garbage."

Another customer echoed concerns about the food quality, describing it as "some of the most subpar I have ever tasted." They noted that the only item that was not soggy or bland was the noodles. This indicates a widespread issue with the texture and flavor of the dishes served. The chicken on a stick was particularly criticized for being "tasteless," with the reviewer suspecting it was merely seasoned with red food coloring. This suggests a lack of proper seasoning and potentially low-quality ingredients.

Interestingly, this second reviewer had a contrasting experience with the service, stating that it "was great." This suggests that while the food quality was severely lacking in their opinion, the staff interaction was positive. However, this positive aspect of the service was not enough to salvage the overall negative impression due to the poor quality of the food.

Considering these two recent reviews, there are significant red flags for local users considering dining at Peking Chinese Restaurant. The strong accusations of inedible food and unsanitary conditions from one reviewer should be taken very seriously. While another reviewer found the service to be good, their equally strong criticism of the food quality, with descriptions of sogginess, blandness, and tastelessness, further reinforces the concerns about the restaurant's culinary offerings.

It is important for local users to be aware of this negative feedback when making their dining choices. The reviews do not offer any positive aspects regarding the food or the environment, with the exception of one reviewer's positive comment on the service. However, the primary purpose of a restaurant is to provide enjoyable and safe food, and the strong criticisms in this area are highly concerning.

The provided information does not include any details about the restaurant's environment beyond the accusation of filth. Therefore, local users cannot form a positive picture of the ambiance or cleanliness based on these reviews. Similarly, there is no mention of any special features or promotional information that might otherwise attract customers.

In conclusion, the recent customer reviews for Peking Chinese Restaurant in Rogersville, TN, paint a very negative picture. There are serious concerns raised about the food quality, with descriptions of it being cold, flavorless, soggy, bland, and even inedible. Additionally, there is a strong accusation of the restaurant being filthy. While one reviewer noted positive service, this was overshadowed by the severely subpar food. Based on this information, local users should exercise extreme caution and carefully consider these experiences before choosing to dine at or order from Peking Chinese Restaurant.

This place is an absolute disgrace. The food is disgusting—cold, flavorless, and downright inedible. That coconut chicken? It was so vile I almost puked on the spot. The whole restaurant is filthy; it looks and smells like a health inspector’s worst nightmare. The staff is just as pathetic—our server was rude, lazy, and clearly hated her job. How is this place even open? There’s NOTHING good to say about it. If you like wasting your money and risking food poisoning, go ahead. Otherwise, avoid Peking Chinese Restaurant like the plague. It’s the definition of garbage.

Service was great, but the food was some of the most subpar I have ever tasted. The only thing that wasn't soggy or bland was the noodles. The chicken on a stick I'm convinced was just seasoned with red food coloring, it was that tasteless.

This USED TO BE my favorite restaurant in Rogersville. The ppl USED TO BE very friendly. The food USED TO BE delicious. I bought a plate to go from the hot bar yesterday - I woke up last night throwing up. Doubt I'll ever go back.

We have gone there off and on over the years. We lived closer but now we have to travel for almost an hour. My husband will only eat a Chinese buffet. I can eat ala carte. Disgusting. Dried out buffet from lunch time. Minimal options. The only thing worth eating was the hot and sour soup. Our last trip back. We told the little Oriental lady that. No apologies and no comp. That's okay. Certainly not trying to retain clients that have traveled many places out of the USA. Very run down. Poor quality cleanliness. It's just no longer up to a good standard. Zero was not an option. Don't go!
