About Peking
Peking is a Chinese restaurant located at 7740 Main St, Hunter, NY 12442, USA. They can be contacted at phone number (518) 263-3868 or mobile phone +1 518-263-3868.
Based on customer reviews, experiences at Peking appear to be highly varied. One long-time customer expressed great satisfaction, citing delicious Singapore noodles, sesame chicken, and particularly the crab rangoon, noting consistent family ownership and quality over many years.
In stark contrast, a very recent review detailed a severely negative experience. This customer reported receiving rancid pork in the moo shu pork, with the dish being undercooked. Their companion's order was described as equally poor, suggesting the stove was not in proper use, potentially leading to microwaved food. The vegetables were reportedly raw and cut into large pieces, and shrimp in the other dish was not even lukewarm, lacking sauce and flavor. Upon returning the inedible food to request a refund, the customer alleges being yelled at by a man, presumably the owner, who denied the issues. Despite the man's reaction, a refund was eventually processed by a woman the reviewer assumed to be his wife.
This negative reviewer strongly advises against visiting Peking, citing not only the serving of what they believed to be rotten meat and undercooked food but also the unprofessional and confrontational behavior of the staff when addressing the complaint. They also noted concerning food safety issues, including uncovered raw egg rolls and unrefrigerated breaded chicken ingredients left at room temperature. This experience allegedly resulted in food poisoning for one of the individuals.
Given the significant discrepancy between these two reviews, potential customers should consider these contrasting experiences when deciding whether to dine at Peking.

Customer Reviews
Peking has always been our favorite Chinese, have been going here since I was 7! Delicious Singapore noodles, sesame chicken, and the best crab rangoon I've ever eaten. Has been owned by the same family since forever and they are the best.
What a horrible experience. My friend and I ordered food from here as fortune garden was closed and I had never eaten here before. The pork in the moo shu pork was rancid and on top of that the dish wasnt even fully cooked. My friends order was equally as bad. They didnt have their cooking stove on so I suspect they cooked it in a microwave. None of the vegetables wete cooked and cut in big chunky pieces. Her shrimp in the dish was also not even luke warm. There was barely any sauce, spices, or taste to it. When we returned to ask for a refund with all the inedible food we ordered the man yelled at me and told me I was wrong. He then yelled at who I assume is his wife and then she started saying she cut everything fresh. I explained it had nothing to do with vegetables being cut fresh but that they werent even cooked the slightest bit and that the meat was rotten. He yelled at me some more and stood up and leaned forward over the counter towards me and when I repeated that Ibhad all the food the wife started refunding the credit card. I do NOT recommend this place. The fact that they served rotten meat wasnt enough, the man yelling at me instead of even apologizing once should be reason to avoid. In the refridgerator with the cans and bottles of soda had a huge container with uncooked eggrolls uncovered in the front of the store. There was also a couple gallons worth of some sort of breaded chicken looking ingredient just sitting unrefridgerated on top of the stove. I do not recommend this place at all. One of us has already thrown up and has food poisoning from just trying the food.
Good food. Service is friendly. Soup has great flavor. Thank God for you and for saving me from overpriced food at the resort.
Just NO! JUST NO!! We know good chinese food. And can make our own authentic. "Was taught by a friend from Hong Kong". We ordered A. Quart of chicken lo mein B. Pepper Steak Combo Platter EggRollRice C. General Taos Combo Platter EggRollRice D. Happy Family Dinner Order Spent $60 for 2 people. 1. Fake Beef/ Yes a lot of chinese American restaurants are using it now. But theirs was obvious. Pull it apart or burn it with a lighter to check.. 2. Using Extremely oil fry oil for all fried/ stir fried foods. 3. Chicken in lo mein was literally rotten! Our dog wouldn't eat it. Stank of sour rot within an hour of ordering then sitting down to eat. The only thing edible was the Happy family/Fresh with real chicken, pork, shrimp but fake beef. And the General Taos chicken wasn't too old but definitely pre made. Also fried rice very old. We threw the rest out immediately But we still spent 2 days with diarrhea and cramps.
The food was slimy, not at all what we ordered. We ordered chow mein, which is supposed to have thin crispy noodles (per their menu description), it didn't just NOT have any noodles, the entire thing was a slimy consistency and did not taste or look good at all. The only edible thing from our order were the fortune cookies. Just don't waste your money here.
