Based on the available customer reviews, experiences at Pei Wei Asian Kitchen appear to be varied, with both positive and negative feedback regarding different aspects of the restaurant. One customer highlighted the "excellent" customer service they received. However, this same review expressed significant dissatisfaction with the food quality. They noted that while the orange chicken had a visually appealing appearance, it lacked a strong orange flavor. The fried rice was described as undercooked and crunchy, lacking in flavor, and containing what seemed to be freeze-dried or crispy raw vegetables. Additionally, the fried egg in the rice was deemed unappetizing, appearing almost burnt. On a more positive note, this customer found the donut holes and the accompanying sweet dipping sauce to be good.

In contrast, another customer had a much more favorable experience. They described the atmosphere as "absolutely fantastic" and found the restaurant to be a "delicious spot for some casual dining." This reviewer specifically praised the Mongolian Beef they ordered as "delicious." Furthermore, they commended the staff members as "incredibly sweet," which significantly enhanced their dining experience. This customer expressed gratitude for the pleasant meal they enjoyed.

These contrasting reviews indicate that while Pei Wei Asian Kitchen may excel in certain areas, such as customer service and atmosphere, the quality of the food might be inconsistent. The positive remarks about the Mongolian Beef and the donut holes suggest that some dishes are well-received, while the negative comments about the orange chicken and fried rice point to potential issues with the preparation and flavor of other menu items. The consistently positive feedback regarding the staff suggests a focus on providing a pleasant and welcoming environment for diners.

As a Chinese restaurant with an "Asian Kitchen" moniker, Pei Wei likely offers a menu that extends beyond traditional Chinese-American cuisine to include dishes influenced by other Asian culinary traditions. Common offerings in such establishments include a variety of stir-fried dishes, noodle and rice bowls, and potentially some soup and appetizer selections. Based on the reviews, items like orange chicken, fried rice, Mongolian beef, and donut holes are part of their menu. The mention of a sweet dipping sauce suggests they might also offer some dessert options or unique sauces to accompany their dishes. Potential customers may want to explore their full menu to understand the range of their culinary offerings.

The review that described the atmosphere as "absolutely fantastic" suggests that Pei Wei Asian Kitchen has put effort into creating a pleasant and inviting dining environment for its customers. This could include aspects such as the decor, lighting, music, and overall ambiance of the restaurant. A positive atmosphere can significantly contribute to the overall dining experience, making it a more enjoyable place to have a casual meal.

In terms of services, Pei Wei Asian Kitchen likely offers both dine-in and takeout options, given the comments about the atmosphere and the customer who took their order to-go. Many restaurants in this category also provide delivery services through their own staff or third-party platforms. Customers interested in delivery should inquire directly with the restaurant about their delivery options and the areas they serve.

Features that might distinguish Pei Wei Asian Kitchen include its potentially appealing atmosphere and the reportedly sweet and attentive staff. The positive feedback on the Mongolian Beef and the donut holes could also be considered features, highlighting specific dishes that customers have enjoyed. However, the inconsistencies in food quality reported by another customer indicate that this might be an area where they could improve to ensure a more consistently positive dining experience.

Many restaurants offer lunch specials, daily deals, or loyalty programs to attract and retain customers. To learn about any current promotions or special offers, it is recommended to check their website (if available), follow their social media channels, or contact the restaurant directly.

In conclusion, Pei Wei Asian Kitchen in Charlotte, NC, offers a casual dining experience with a reportedly fantastic atmosphere and sweet staff. However, customer reviews indicate potential inconsistencies in food quality, with some dishes receiving praise while others have been criticized for flavor and preparation. The restaurant offers takeout, and likely dine-in services, with delivery options potentially available. Customer service was excellent. Looks can be deceiving. Orange chicken looked very good but not much orange flavor. Fried rice wasn’t cooked still crunchy didn’t have much flavor either and all the veggies in it were freeze dried or crispy raw. The fried egg in the rice didn’t not look very appetizing, it looked almost burnt. Donut holes were good, so was the sweet dipping sauce.

I used to come here all of the time since about 10 years ago. Food was pretty good. I have always gotten the Kung Pao Chicken and it’s my favorite Kung Pao anywhere. This time it was different. Tasted like they need to clean the grills because it had a charcoal taste to it this time as if the grills hadn’t been cleaned. I also ordered the fried rice as a side which also had a strange added flavor such as the grill not having been cleaned. The worst part of the whole experience was the Dan Dan noodles that I ordered for my girlfriend. I don’t usually get dan dan anywhere but I’ve had it a few times and this was definitely the worst. The sauce looked like gelatin almost as if it was congealed gravy. It also wasn’t consistent as one side looked a little creamier than the other. I can’t tell if the taste or the appearance was worse. Both me and my girlfriend were not a fan of the taste but it was mostly unappetizing. I had to look up Dan Dan dishes online and they look nothing compared to what we got. I encourage you to do the same- look up pictures and compare to my picture. I like the app and the deals that they offer but the food has taken a toll. Ive been going here for about 10 years now and it used to be my favorite Asian food in the area but not so much anymore. Service is usually pretty good though and the place seems pretty clean also as usual.

It was my first time here and I wasn’t sure what I wanted, the staff was extremely friendly, helpful and patient. My food came out within 5 minutes of me sitting down. I ordered general tso, a spring roll, dumplings and some of their donuts. The food was hot and fresh. The workers, Nate, Ming and Dai were the ones to help me and prepare my food. I will definitely be coming back and trying some new things!

great place to pick up (relatively) healthy rice dishes. Lettuce wraps are great (order extra lettuce - they give you alot of the stuff). I like the teriyaki chicken, honey chicken, and orange chicken kids meals (the full size are really full size - too much for me to eat but if you want a big bowl, go for the adult portion). Only disappointment are the desserts - the donuts do not interest me and the brownie was a throw away - it tastes like chalk. Hey Pei Wei, a small apple pie type dessert would be a nice option (maybe w/ I small scoop of vanilla) - or some other small sweet - but get rid of those stale-tasting brownies or switch vendors (brownies should be gooey & chocolatey)
