About Panda Wok

Located at 5652 Whittier Blvd in East Los Angeles, California, Panda Wok is a Chinese restaurant serving the local community. The limited information available from recent customer reviews paints a concerning picture regarding food safety and customer service at this establishment. Potential customers should carefully consider this feedback before deciding to dine at or order from Panda Wok.

One of the most alarming issues raised by a customer is the presence of maggots in their food. The reviewer stated, "The food was good here up to the point that I found maggots in my food." This is a severe food safety violation and raises significant concerns about the hygiene and food handling practices at Panda Wok. The same reviewer also noted, "They have a lot of flies flying around. I didn’t think that I would find maggots in my food I’m gonna be a little bit more careful from now on." The presence of flies further suggests potential issues with cleanliness and pest control within the restaurant environment.

Another customer reported a negative experience related to customer service. This individual stopped by to get food for their family and encountered difficulties when requesting an adequate amount of condiments. According to the review, "When I finished ordering the lady only gave me 1 hot sauce and 1 soy sauce for 3 people when I asked for more she gave me 1 more I told her can I get 3 of each I got 3 plates the lady went crazy telling me no." The customer's willingness to pay for the additional sauce was also met with resistance, as the staff member reportedly started "rambling." The reviewer emphasized the importance of respect and expressed extreme dissatisfaction with being yelled at over a request for sauce, concluding with "Never again." This incident indicates a significant lapse in customer service and a lack of reasonable accommodation for customer needs.

Given the severity of the issues raised in these recent reviews, it is difficult to provide a positive or encouraging introduction to Panda Wok for local users. The reported discovery of maggots in the food points to a critical failure in food safety standards, which is a primary concern for any dining establishment. The accompanying observation of numerous flies further exacerbates these concerns about hygiene and the overall environment of the restaurant.

The negative customer service experience involving a dispute over a small quantity of condiments also reflects poorly on the restaurant's approach to customer relations. A refusal to provide a reasonable request, especially when the customer offered to pay, and the subsequent unprofessional behavior of yelling at a customer, are serious red flags. Positive customer service is essential for building and maintaining a loyal customer base, and this incident suggests a significant deficiency in this area.

Without any positive recent feedback to counterbalance these serious allegations, it is impossible to recommend Panda Wok to local users at this time. The potential health risks associated with the reported food contamination and the unprofessional customer service experience are significant deterrents. Any potential positives, such as the taste of the food prior to the discovery of contaminants, are overshadowed by these critical issues.

Local users in East Los Angeles seeking a Chinese restaurant should be aware of these recent reviews for Panda Wok. It would be prudent to consider alternative dining options in the area that have demonstrated a commitment to food safety and customer satisfaction. Checking recent reviews on multiple platforms may provide a broader perspective, but the current available feedback raises serious concerns that should not be ignored.

If Panda Wok has addressed these issues and implemented significant improvements in their food handling practices, hygiene standards, and customer service protocols, future reviews may reflect these changes. However, based solely on the information available from these recent customer experiences, proceeding with caution is strongly advised. Local users may want to seek out other Chinese restaurants in East Los Angeles with more consistently positive and reassuring feedback regarding both the quality and safety of their food and the professionalism of their service.

For any potential updates or changes in the restaurant's practices, one could attempt to contact Panda Wok directly at (323) 724-5761 or +1 323-724-5761. However, given the nature of the reported issues, verifying improvements through reliable and recent customer feedback would be essential before considering a visit.

I stopped by to get some food for my family. When I finished ordering the lady only gave me 1 hot sauce and 1 soy sauce for 3 people when I asked for more she gave me 1 more I told her can I get 3 of each I got 3 plates the lady went crazy telling me no. I told her I'll pay for it she just started rambling. Respect is very important to me. You don't start yelling at a person over sauce. Never again.
