About Panda

Located at 3218 Third Ave in the Bronx, New York, NY 10451, Panda operates as a local Chinese restaurant serving the surrounding community. As a "Chinese Restaurant," Panda offers a variety of dishes for takeout. They can be reached at (718) 292-0346 or +1 718-292-0346 for placing orders or inquiries.

Customer reviews provide insights into the experience at Panda. One reviewer advises customers to "make sure to read menu when you go inside store," noting a potential discrepancy between older menus and current pricing. This customer suggests that while food portions have remained consistent, prices may have been increased without updating older menus. This is an important point for potential customers to be aware of when ordering.

On a more positive note, another customer highlights the "amazing" phone service provided by Panda, suggesting a friendly and efficient process for placing orders over the phone. This reviewer also strongly recommends specific dishes, stating that the "sweet and sour chicken and general tso are 10/10." This indicates that these particular dishes are well-received and may be signature items. Additionally, they praise the rice, noting that it is "better than other area," suggesting a higher quality or preferred preparation compared to other local Chinese restaurants. A standout item for this reviewer is the "homemade sweet tea," which they describe as the "best I’ve had." This unique offering could be a significant draw for customers seeking a specific beverage option.

Regarding the restaurant's physical environment, the reviewer who has visited the location twice mentions that it is "really not hideous inside." While acknowledging that "the area is not the best," they still consider Panda their "go 2 for ordering," emphasizing the positive aspects of the food and service outweigh any concerns about the location or interior appearance. This suggests that while the ambiance might not be the primary focus, it is acceptable for customers who choose to walk in.

Based on the available reviews, Panda seems to excel in its phone service and the quality of certain dishes, particularly the sweet and sour chicken and General Tso's chicken. The homemade sweet tea is also a notable and highly praised item. However, potential customers should be mindful of the possibility of outdated menus and should confirm prices when ordering in-store. The consistency of food portions despite price changes might be seen as both a positive (maintaining value in terms of quantity) and a negative (potential for perceived price increases without added value to the food itself).

The primary service offered by Panda, based on the reviews, appears to be takeout. The emphasis on phone orders and the reviewer's status as a "go 2 for ordering" strongly suggest that takeout is a popular and convenient option for customers. There is no direct mention of delivery services in the provided reviews, so local users interested in delivery would need to inquire with the restaurant directly.

Features of Panda that stand out include the highly-rated phone service, the praised quality of their sweet and sour chicken and General Tso's chicken, and their unique homemade sweet tea. The consistent food portions, even with price adjustments, could also be considered a feature, depending on a customer's perspective on value. The reviewer's comment about the rice being better than other area options suggests a potential focus on the quality of even standard accompaniments.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information mentioned in the provided reviews. Restaurants often have daily specials, combo deals, or discounts for certain order amounts. Local users are advised to contact Panda directly to inquire about any ongoing promotions or special offers that might be available.

In conclusion, Panda Chinese Restaurant in the Bronx at 3218 Third Ave appears to be a reliable option for takeout, particularly noted for its excellent phone service and well-received dishes like sweet and sour chicken and General Tso's chicken. Their homemade sweet tea is also a significant point of praise. While the interior is described as acceptable, the focus seems to be on the quality of the food and the convenience of ordering. Potential customers should be aware of possible discrepancies between older menus and current prices and are advised to confirm pricing when placing their orders. Despite this, the positive feedback on key dishes and the homemade sweet tea suggests that Panda offers a worthwhile takeout experience for local residents in the Bronx.

The food is good mine always comes hot . The phone workers are polite . The only negative is the delivery drivers he was non verbal didn’t answer me when I wanted to double check how much I owed he didn’t even Acknowledge me just took the money and counted it and left His face looked like he didn’t want to be there. He made me feel very uncomfortable not sure if I’ll order there anymore might just do pickup or find another food place to eat at . It’s sad cause I order food once a week to treat myself .

This Chinese food sucks. The French fries were super stale, and the chicken wings look burnt, and had practically no chicken in it. Never again buying from here
