Welcome to Panda King Chinese Restaurant, located at 3626 Rogers Rd in Wake Forest, North Carolina (zip code 27587). When choosing a Chinese restaurant for your dining needs, factors such as the quality of the food, the variety of the menu, and the overall dining experience are often key considerations. Based on recent customer feedback available online, Panda King Chinese Restaurant presents a somewhat contrasting view, with one highly negative experience and another indicating generally good food quality with a specific caveat. One customer who tried the restaurant for the first time ordered the Shrimp with Chinese Vegetables combo with onion fried rice and reported significant dissatisfaction. They found the dish to be "tasteless," as if seasoning was omitted. The vegetables were described as primarily large pieces of onion, carrots, and some water chestnuts, with a notable absence of other vegetables. The fried rice also lacked any vegetables. Furthermore, the shrimp did not taste fresh, and the entire dish was described as being "laden with greasy, tasteless liquid." Despite the restaurant being busy at the time of their order, the reviewer did not consider this an excuse for what they deemed "disgusting food" and the "worst Chinese Takeout I have ever tried to eat." This paints a very negative picture of at least one of their dishes and the overall quality experienced by this customer.

In contrast, another reviewer offered a more positive, albeit qualified, assessment. They stated that "Most of the food quality is really good" and consistently "always hot." This suggests that Panda King may have the capability to produce satisfactory and freshly served food for many of its dishes. However, this reviewer provided a specific warning, advising customers to "just avoid" the beef, which they found to be "usually chewy and stringy." This indicates a potential inconsistency in the quality of different types of protein offered at the restaurant. By steering clear of the beef, this reviewer suggests that "all is good," implying that the other options on the menu might be of a better standard.

Considering these two recent reviews, Panda King Chinese Restaurant appears to have the potential for good food quality in some of its offerings, with the food being served hot, which is generally a positive indicator of freshness and proper preparation. However, there are also significant concerns regarding the taste, freshness, and preparation of at least one shrimp dish, as well as the quality of their beef. The composition of the fried rice and the lack of variety in the "Chinese vegetables" were also points of criticism in the negative review. This mixed feedback suggests that while some customers may have positive experiences, there is a risk of encountering poorly prepared and unappetizing dishes.

As a Chinese restaurant in Wake Forest, NC, Panda King likely offers services such as takeout, which was the mode of service for the highly negative review. Dine-in options are also typically available at Chinese restaurants, although neither review specifically mentions dining at the premises. Delivery services might also be offered, either directly by the restaurant or through third-party delivery platforms, but this is not mentioned in the provided feedback. The environment of the restaurant, such as its ambiance and cleanliness, is not discussed in these reviews, which focus primarily on the quality and taste of the food.

Features that might typically attract customers to a Chinese restaurant include a diverse menu, special house dishes, or consistently high food quality across all offerings. The positive comment about the "really good" quality of most of the food suggests that Panda King might have some well-prepared dishes. However, the strong negative experience with the shrimp and vegetables, as well as the warning to avoid the beef, indicates a lack of consistency. Without a menu or more detailed descriptions of their specialties, it is difficult to pinpoint any unique features of Panda King. The fact that the food is "always hot" is a positive attribute related to their preparation and service.

Promotional information is not included in the provided customer reviews. Chinese restaurants often offer lunch specials, combination meals, or discounts on certain days. Local users interested in any potential promotions at Panda King Chinese Restaurant would need to check for any signage at the location, inquire when calling, or look for an online presence (website or social media) where such information might be shared. Given the mixed feedback on food quality, it might be prudent for potential customers to focus on assessing the current standards of their dishes rather than being solely swayed by potential promotions.

For local users in Wake Forest seeking a Chinese restaurant, Panda King Chinese Restaurant at 3626 Rogers Rd presents a situation with contrasting recent experiences. While one reviewer found most of the food to be of good quality (excluding the beef), another had a severely negative experience with a shrimp and vegetable dish. This inconsistency suggests that the quality of food at Panda King may vary depending on the dish ordered. Potential customers might want to consider these differing opinions and perhaps exercise caution when trying Panda King for the first time, possibly avoiding the beef and being mindful of the potential for poorly prepared dishes. Reading more reviews, if available, could provide a broader perspective on the restaurant's overall consistency and quality.

In conclusion, Panda King Chinese Restaurant in Wake Forest, NC, has received mixed reviews regarding its food quality. While one customer found most dishes to be good and consistently hot, another experienced a tasteless, greasy, and poorly prepared shrimp and vegetable dish, as well as fried rice lacking in vegetables. There is also a recommendation to avoid the beef due to its chewy and stringy texture. Local users should consider these contrasting experiences when deciding whether to patronize Panda King and might want to exercise caution when ordering specific items. Information on the restaurant's environment, services beyond takeout (likely dine-in), and any promotional offers is not detailed in the provided reviews.

Tried this restaurant for the first time. Ordered Shrimp with Chinese Vegetables combo with onion fried rice. So dissatisfied. The dish was tasteless, as if they forgot to season anything. The only vegetables were large pieces of onion, carrots and some water chestnuts. No vegetables in the fried rice. The shrimp did not taste fresh. The dish was laden with greasy, tasteless liquid. They were busy at 4:35 pm but that is no excuse for disgusting food. Hands down the worst Chinese Takeout I have ever tried to eat.

Most of the food quality is really good. Always hot. Beef is usually chewy and stringy so just avoid that and all is good!

This is my go to Chinese restaurant. Their food is great. It is always fresh and hot. It's flavorful and delicious. We order it at least monthly as our entire household loves it. We've gone to others but they don't compare to Panda King!

Really good ribs and fried rice. Sauce on ribs was really good, but a little sweet. Price was $10.05 for what you see here and a 12oz bottle of water. Cost, quality, quantity combo gets it 4 stars. I've had better, and I've had a lot worse. I'll be back, probably for a jumbo helping of the pork fried rice next time.
