About Panda King Chinese Restaurant

Welcome to Panda King Chinese Restaurant, located at 929 McArthur Rd in Fayetteville, North Carolina (NC 28311), USA. As a Chinese restaurant serving the Fayetteville community, Panda King offers a variety of Chinese dishes. They can be contacted at (910) 488-8888 or their mobile number +1 910-488-8888 for inquiries and to place orders.

The environment of Panda King Chinese Restaurant is mentioned in one of the customer reviews. A long-time customer, who has been ordering food since 2009, suggests that the establishment could benefit from renovation to be more appealing to new customers. This implies that the current décor or condition of the restaurant might be somewhat dated or not as modern as some might prefer. However, this review does not provide specific details about the cleanliness or overall comfort of the dining area. Another reviewer did not comment on the environment but focused on the food and service aspects.

In terms of services, Panda King Chinese Restaurant likely offers both takeout and dine-in options, as is typical for many Chinese restaurants. One reviewer mentioned ordering food, implying takeout, while the suggestion for renovation indicates the presence of a physical establishment where customers could dine. Delivery service is not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews, so it is unclear if they offer this directly or through third-party platforms. One reviewer also noted that the owner frequently requests payment in cash, citing issues with the card machine. This could be a point of inconvenience for customers who prefer to pay with cards.

The culinary features of Panda King Chinese Restaurant receive mixed feedback from the two available customer reviews. One reviewer had a strongly negative experience, stating that the food quality was lacking and felt like it was reheated. They also mentioned a homemade hot sauce and reported getting sick for two days after their last meal there, leading them to strongly recommend against dining at Panda King. This review raises significant concerns about food freshness and hygiene practices.

In contrast, a long-term customer, who has been ordering since 2009, has consistently had positive experiences with the food. They specifically praised the egg rolls as being the "best," albeit a bit oily, but large and delicious. This reviewer also noted generous servings, particularly for the combination fried rice and boneless ribs, where the container is often "overstuffed." This positive feedback over a long period suggests that some dishes at Panda King might be well-regarded and consistently good, at least for this particular customer's preferences.

The features of Panda King that emerge from these reviews are the potentially friendly and nice owner, the highly praised (though oily) egg rolls, generous portion sizes for some dishes like the combination fried rice and boneless ribs, and the in-house hot sauce (which received a negative mention in one review). However, there are also significant concerns raised about the overall food quality, potential reheating of food, and a reported instance of foodborne illness. The owner's preference for cash payments due to alleged issues with the card machine is another notable aspect.

Promotional information is not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews. It is common for restaurants to offer special deals or discounts to attract customers. To learn about any current promotions, lunch specials, or other offers at Panda King Chinese Restaurant, potential customers would need to contact the restaurant directly or check if they have any online presence where such information might be advertised. The long-term customer did mention ordering specific combination meals, which might be part of their regular menu or could be considered a type of offering or special.

In conclusion, Panda King Chinese Restaurant in Fayetteville, NC, presents a complex picture based on the two available customer reviews. While one long-term customer has consistently enjoyed certain dishes like the egg rolls, combination fried rice, and boneless ribs, and praises the generous portions, another customer reported significant issues with food quality, potential reheating, a negative experience with the hot sauce, and even foodborne illness, leading to a strong recommendation against the restaurant. Additionally, the owner's preference for cash payments due to alleged card machine issues is a point to consider. Local users in Fayetteville should weigh these contrasting experiences. If you are drawn by the positive comments on specific dishes and generous portions, you might consider trying them, but the serious concerns raised about food quality and hygiene in the other review should also be taken into account. It would be prudent to seek more recent reviews from other sources to get a broader perspective before making a decision.

Before deciding to dine at or order from Panda King Chinese Restaurant, you may want to consider the following:

  • Note the positive feedback regarding the egg rolls and generous portion sizes for some dishes.
  • Be aware of the serious concerns raised about food quality, potential reheating, and a reported instance of foodborne illness.
  • Consider the owner's reported preference for cash payments.
  • Search for more recent reviews on platforms like Google Reviews or Yelp to see if there are more consistent opinions or if the issues raised have been addressed.
  • Contact Panda King Chinese Restaurant directly at (910) 488-8888 to inquire about their menu, services (dine-in, takeout, delivery if available), and their payment options. You might also ask about the freshness of their food and their food safety practices.

By considering these points and potentially gathering more information, you can make a more informed decision about whether Panda King Chinese Restaurant aligns with your expectations for a local Chinese dining experience in Fayetteville, NC.

The owner is a friendly and nice guy, but the downside is the food and the quality is not there. It just feels like they’re giving you reheated food and then the hot sauce that they make in house. It is definitely not fresh last time we ate there I was sick for about two days. Do not recommend you guys going there. And then also he’s always trying to get you to pay in cash always saying that his card machine is down.

I’ve never had a bad experience with my food. I’ve been ordering food since 2009. They have the best egg rolls. They are a bit oily but they are big and delicious. They are very generous with their servings. I always get the combination fried rice and the boneless ribs. The box is always overstuffed. The only thing I would suggest is renovating the establishment. It would be more appealing to new customers.

I ordered almost 30 dollars worth of food from this place last night and you would think it would be worth it. When I brought my food home to eat I realized my vegetables were just so bland so I had to shower it wit duck/soy sauce my rice was not done because it was still hard. My husband and son had the same problem with their rice. Thats probably why they gave me like a 5 eggrolls and they were dripping with grease. Come on now panda king. People work to hard for their money. It's not like y'all had a line through the door take your time quantity is important but quality is most important!!!

I found this place today by accident. I will say it’s the some of the best take out I have had in NC. I order General Tsos chicken, hot and spicy soup and Chinese donuts. Everything was spot on. Will definitely go there again when I have to go to Fayetteville.
