Welcome to Panda Inn (La Palma), a distinguished Chinese restaurant located at 2 Centerpointe Dr in La Palma, California. As a purveyor of authentic Chinese cuisine, Panda Inn (La Palma) offers a refined dining experience characterized by fresh, flavorful dishes and attentive service. Situated in a convenient location in La Palma, this establishment provides a welcoming environment for those seeking a high-quality Chinese meal, whether for a special occasion or a regular dining outing.
Based on recent customer feedback, Panda Inn (La Palma) is highly regarded for its exceptional service and the quality of its food. One reviewer specifically praised the "terrific" service, highlighting the unique approach of having multiple staff members attend to their needs, ensuring that requests were addressed promptly and efficiently, rather than relying on a single dedicated server. This multi-server model appears to contribute significantly to a positive and responsive dining experience at Panda Inn (La Palma).
The reviewer also noted a detail regarding beverage options, mentioning that the restaurant does not carry sweet-n-low or other sugar substitutes, which may be relevant for some diners with specific dietary preferences. However, this was presented as an observation rather than a criticism. The reviewer subsequently ordered a coke, indicating satisfaction with the available alternatives.
A significant aspect of the dining experience at Panda Inn (La Palma) is the speed of service. The food was reported to arrive "very fast," and importantly, it was described as fresh, hot, and "absolutely delicious." This efficiency in the kitchen, combined with the attentive service in the dining area, suggests a well-coordinated operation focused on providing a seamless and enjoyable meal for the guests.
The culinary journey for this particular reviewer began with the wonton soup, which received high praise, even delighting a "pickiest eater" in their party. This indicates that Panda Inn (La Palma) excels in preparing classic Chinese soups that appeal to a wide range of palates.
For the main courses, the honey walnut shrimp stood out as a particularly successful dish. The reviewer, who considers this entree to be often inconsistent in other restaurants, declared that it "IT HITS here." They lauded the glaze for not being too thick or overly mayonnaise-like, and the walnuts for their perfect texture, neither soggy nor too hard, pairing exceptionally well with the perfectly sized shrimp. This detailed positive feedback suggests that Panda Inn (La Palma) has mastered this popular dish, paying close attention to the balance of flavors and textures.
The broccoli beef also received accolades, with the broccoli described as fresh and having an "amazing crunch" that was not excessive. The flavor of the dish was noted as "terrific," indicating a well-executed and satisfying rendition of this classic Chinese-American offering.
The only dish that did not entirely meet the reviewer's expectations was the fried rice. While they acknowledged a "terrific mixture of ingredients," they felt it was "lacking some flavor." This provides an objective perspective, indicating that while most dishes were highly enjoyable, there might be some variability or personal preferences that influence the perception of certain items on the menu.
In a testament to the quality of the food, the reviewer mentioned that their leftovers reheated very well, which was a pleasant surprise and further solidified their positive impression of Panda Inn (La Palma). They concluded by stating their definite intention to return, underscoring the overall satisfying and memorable dining experience.
It is important to note a specific detail regarding a signature dish often associated with the Panda Inn brand. As of April 2025, the Lobster Crispy Noodles dish, which features Maine lobster over crispy egg noodles with a choice of black pepper or ginger scallion sauce, is not listed on the menu at the La Palma location. This specialty is available at the Pasadena branch of Panda Inn. However, Panda Inn (La Palma) offers a comparable option called the Upside Down Crispy Noodles. This dish features crispy egg noodles topped with Napa cabbage, mushrooms, snow peas, bean sprouts, and carrots in a Shao Xing wine sauce, with the diner's choice of chicken or shrimp. This indicates that while the La Palma location may have some menu variations compared to other branches, it still provides a similar style of crispy noodle dish with a variety of fresh ingredients and protein options.

The service was terrific. I loved that there were multiple people serving us as we needed things addressed and not just one dedicated server. They don't carry sweet-n-low or any sugar substitutes (Just a note, not a judgement), so naturally, I got a coke. The food came out very fast. It was fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. We started with wonton soup. Even our pickiest eater was delighted. I got honey walnut shrimp, which is one of those hit or miss entrees in restaurants, IMO. Let me tell you - IT HITS here. The glaze isn't too thick or overly mayonnaise-y. The walnuts weren't soggy or too hard. They were perfectly textured and paired incredibly well with the shrimp. The shrimp were also perfectly sized. The broccoli beef was also delicious. Fresh broccoli that still had that amazing crunch (but not too much crunch). The flavor was terrific. I wasn't the biggest fan of the fried rice. I felt like it was lacking some flavor, but it did have a terrific mixture of ingredients. We took our leftovers to go, and they reheated really well, which was also a nice surprise. We will definitely be returning.
I am a fan! I love it when a place has Jasmine tea. What a way to start off my dining experience . We had the pot stickers to start, and they were very good. For the main course, we had mapo tofu and honey walnut shrimp. They were both amazing.
Several years back we started a new family Christmas tradition. The movie Christmas story was the inspiration 🤣 of course. On Christmas eve we try different Chinese restaurants. This was the best so far! Everything was amazingly delicious. We invited my best friend (who is vegan) and there were many options that he loved. The restaurant is beautiful and even though it was crazy busy...the service was great! I highly recommend it. Anytime of year❤️
Best Chinese food I’ve ever had in Los Angeles in 8 years living over here. It was so delicious and the service was amazing, my server was an Asian man who was super kind. ❤️
