About Panda Hut
Panda Hut, situated at 144 SC-274 in Lake Wylie, SC, serves the local community as a Chinese restaurant, primarily known for its takeout services based on available customer reviews. While dine-in options exist, they are reportedly limited to certain hours. Panda Hut has garnered positive feedback for its good quality food, reasonable prices, and friendly service, making it a noteworthy option for those seeking Chinese cuisine in the Lake Wylie area.
One customer reported having only used Panda Hut for takeout and expressed satisfaction with the food quality. They specifically mentioned the sweet and sour chicken and general tao chicken as being good. This indicates that Panda Hut offers popular and well-received versions of these classic Chinese dishes, which are often a benchmark for the quality of a Chinese restaurant. The same reviewer also noted an attempt to dine in at the restaurant but mentioned that dine-in service is available only during specific hours, which they had missed. This suggests that potential dine-in customers should verify the operating hours for eating at the premises before planning their visit.
The takeout service at Panda Hut was described as "pretty quick," and the process of taking orders was also noted to be efficient. This is a significant advantage for customers who prefer the convenience of ordering food to go, as speed and efficiency are key factors in a positive takeout experience. Additionally, the reviewer described the staff as "friendly," contributing to a pleasant interaction during the ordering and pickup process.
Another customer shared a pleasantly surprising experience with Panda Hut, indicating that their expectations were exceeded. They found the food to be "good clean tasting," which suggests that the ingredients used are fresh and the dishes are prepared without an excessive amount of oil or heavy sauces that can sometimes make Chinese food feel greasy. This emphasis on a cleaner taste could be a distinguishing feature of Panda Hut's culinary approach.
This reviewer also highlighted specific dishes they enjoyed. The wontons were described as having "thin noodles and delicious" filling, indicating a well-made appetizer that stands out. The sesame chicken was also noted as "very tasty," further reinforcing the positive feedback on Panda Hut's ability to deliver flavorful main courses.
An interesting point was made regarding the fried rice, a staple in many Chinese takeout orders. The reviewer mentioned that the fried rice at Panda Hut actually contained "a few veggies," which they appreciated. While they suggested that more vegetables could be used, the fact that vegetables were present at all was seen as a positive, earning the dish their vote. This suggests that Panda Hut's fried rice might be a step above some other establishments that offer a simpler version with minimal vegetable content.
The combination of positive comments regarding food quality (sweet and sour chicken, general tao chicken, wontons, sesame chicken, fried rice with vegetables), efficient takeout service, friendly staff, and reasonable prices makes Panda Hut an appealing option for Chinese food in the Lake Wylie area. The only potential drawback mentioned is the limited hours for dine-in service, which might be a consideration for customers who prefer to eat at the restaurant.
Based on the available reviews, there is no information regarding the environment or ambiance of Panda Hut's dine-in area, likely due to the limited experience shared by customers who attempted to eat there. The focus of the feedback is primarily on the quality and taste of the food, particularly for takeout, and the efficiency and friendliness of the service.
Similarly, there is no specific mention of any promotional offers or special features at Panda Hut. The reasonable prices highlighted by one reviewer suggest that the restaurant already offers good value for money. Local users might want to inquire directly with Panda Hut about any current specials or loyalty programs that could further enhance their dining experience.
In conclusion, Panda Hut in Lake Wylie, SC, appears to be a reliable Chinese restaurant that excels in its takeout service, offering a variety of tasty dishes at reasonable prices with friendly service. Popular choices like sweet and sour chicken, general tao chicken, delicious wontons, and flavorful sesame chicken have received positive feedback. The fried rice, which includes some vegetables, is also appreciated. While dine-in options are available, they are limited to certain hours, so customers wishing to eat at the restaurant should confirm these times in advance. For local users in Lake Wylie seeking a convenient and satisfying Chinese takeout experience, Panda Hut seems to be a strong contender based on the positive reviews of its food and service.

Have only done take out but food is good. Got sweet and sour chicken, general tao chicken. Tried to eat there once but only have dine in certain hours and we missed it. Take out is pretty quick as well as taking order. Friendly, reasonable prices!
Pleasantly surprised. Food was good clean tasting. Wontons were thin noodles and delicious. Sesame chicken very tasty. The fried rice actually have a few veggies, could use more but gets my vote!
I order take out from here all the time. The food is good and consistent, order is always correct. The family packs are a great deal and a ton of food. I recommend this for take out, especially if you’re trying to feed your family on a budget!
Was in the area and decided to try some food at this place, bad idea! Was there for 1 hour and saw a lot of pick ups thinking food was good. Dissapointed! Food was unflavor, plane and took forever to be served. Thanks to the free soy and sweet sauce because it helps somehow to try to eat at this place. When asked for shrimps go somewhere else because they will be just in the menu as a picture but not in your plate. Overall one of the worst asian food around.
First time trying Panda Hut. Currently takeout only- which is the new normal. Went inside to order. Food was ready in about 10 minutes. Was surprised at their prices. Not the best, but considering what most places charge, reasonable. Portions are good on the meat, however skimp on the rice. Don't get me wrong though, this was enough food to fill me. There lunch combo also comes with a fountain drink - was surprised. Food was overall decent for the price so I can't complain. Will visit again.
