About Panda Garden Chinese Restaurant

Welcome to Panda Garden Chinese Restaurant, located at 5249 Sunset Lake Rd in Holly Springs, North Carolina (NC 27540), USA. As a Chinese restaurant serving the Holly Springs community, Panda Garden offers a range of Chinese culinary options. They can be contacted at (919) 387-8878 or their mobile number +1 919-387-8878 for inquiries and to place orders.

When choosing a restaurant, the environment and hygiene practices are important considerations. One customer who walked into Panda Garden to place an order reported a concerning observation. They stated that several staff members were sitting and eating their own food, specifically wings, and licking their fingers in front of customers. Following this, the customer alleged that one of these individuals then prepared their order without washing their hands. This is a serious accusation that raises significant concerns about the restaurant's hygiene standards and food handling practices. Such behavior, if accurate, could be off-putting to potential customers and suggests a lack of professionalism in the dining area and food preparation.

In terms of services, Panda Garden Chinese Restaurant likely offers takeout service, as indicated by the first review where the customer picked up an order. The second review also implies takeout service, as the customer mentioned a change in portion sizes and packaging. While not explicitly stated, it is also highly probable that they provide dine-in service for customers who wish to eat at the restaurant. Delivery service is not mentioned in the provided reviews, so it is unclear if they offer this directly or through third-party platforms. If delivery is a preferred option, it would be advisable to contact the restaurant directly to inquire about their availability.

The features of Panda Garden Chinese Restaurant, primarily the food quality and pricing, are also discussed in the customer reviews, with differing perspectives. One customer who had not visited for a while decided to try them again and reported that the food was "delicious." This suggests that the quality of the food may have improved or can be satisfactory at times. However, this positive feedback was accompanied by a concern regarding pricing and portion sizes. The reviewer noted that prices had "gone up considerably" while the portion sizes and the size of the plastic containers had "decreased noticeably." This indicates a potential shift in value for money, even if the taste of the food was deemed good on that particular occasion.

The first review, while primarily focused on hygiene concerns, does not offer a direct opinion on the taste or quality of the food itself. The reviewer's experience was overshadowed by the alleged unhygienic practices they witnessed. Therefore, it is difficult to draw a definitive conclusion about the overall food quality based solely on these two reviews, as one found it delicious while the other's experience was tainted by hygiene worries.

The customer reviews for Panda Garden Chinese Restaurant present a mixed and somewhat concerning picture. The serious allegation of unhygienic food handling in the first review is a significant issue that potential customers should be aware of. While the second review offers a more positive note regarding the taste of the food on a recent visit, it also highlights concerns about increased prices and reduced portion sizes, impacting the perceived value. The discrepancy between these two recent experiences suggests that the quality and overall experience at Panda Garden might be inconsistent.

As for promotional information, neither of the provided reviews mentions any specific offers or discounts. It is common for restaurants to have promotions to attract and retain customers. To find out if Panda Garden Chinese Restaurant currently has any special deals, lunch specials, or other promotions, it would be best to contact them directly via phone or check if they have an online presence, such as a website or social media profiles, where they might advertise such offers.

In conclusion, Panda Garden Chinese Restaurant in Holly Springs, NC, has received mixed feedback from the limited customer reviews available. A serious concern was raised regarding hygiene practices and food handling by one customer. Another customer found the food delicious on a recent visit but noted increased prices and smaller portion sizes. These contrasting experiences suggest potential inconsistencies in the restaurant's operations. Local users considering Panda Garden should be aware of these points and may want to seek more recent reviews or inquire directly about their current practices and offerings before making a decision. The alleged hygiene issues are particularly important to consider for anyone concerned about food safety and preparation standards.

Before deciding to dine at or order from Panda Garden Chinese Restaurant, you may want to consider the following:

  • Be aware of the serious hygiene concerns raised in one of the reviews.
  • Note the feedback about potentially increased prices and decreased portion sizes.
  • Search for more recent reviews on other platforms (e.g., Google Reviews, Yelp) to see if there are more consistent experiences reported by other customers.
  • If hygiene is a primary concern, you might want to consider other Chinese restaurant options in the Holly Springs area.
  • Contact Panda Garden directly at (919) 387-8878 to inquire about their current menu, services (dine-in, takeout, delivery), and any promotions they might be offering. You could also politely inquire about their food handling and hygiene practices.

By taking these steps, you can gather more information and make a more informed decision about whether Panda Garden Chinese Restaurant meets your expectations for a local Chinese dining experience in Holly Springs, NC.

Walked in and half of them were sitting and eating their food. After I ordered they all went and sat down to slurp their wings and lick their fingers while I just sat there. Finally the lady gets up, doesn’t wash her hands at all and bags up my order. Like really? This place has gone so far down hill and licking your fingers in front of customers eating your own food and then go and prepare mine without even at least rinsing off your hands? That’s just disgusting

It had been a while since we had Panda Garden. For a while the hours seemed wrong/odd, other times food was subpar. Decided to give them a try again last week. Food was delicious. Prices have gone up considerably as portion (and size of plastic tupperware) have decreased noticeably. But at least, the food was good!

I would advise not to go to a place that checks your $100 bill for 10 minutes claiming it may not be real. The owner showed the bill to her family members who kept insisting it was real! Her husband even pulled out one of his $100 bills to reassure her for the 6th time. The food was too dry and unappetizing to even eat which made it even worse. The chili oil was black and burnt as well. I left hurt, hungry and confused…

Had unexpected out of town company. Not having enough food, I decided to order from Panda Garden. I had a confirmation that the food would be ready at 7:15. My daughter went to pick it up and the restaurant was closed. What I bind this put us in. I will not order from this place again!
