About Panda Garden Buffet

Welcome to Panda Garden Buffet, a local Chinese restaurant in Roseville, Minnesota, offering an expansive all-you-can-eat buffet experience. Located conveniently at 1706 Lexington Ave N, Roseville, MN 55113, USA, Panda Garden Buffet provides a diverse selection of dishes, extending beyond traditional Chinese cuisine to include flavorful options from Hmong and Thai culinary traditions. Whether you're a local resident or just passing through, our buffet offers a unique opportunity to sample a variety of Asian flavors in one convenient location.

As a "Chinese Restaurant" in category, Panda Garden Buffet distinguishes itself by presenting a broader spectrum of Asian dishes alongside familiar Chinese favorites. According to customer reviews, you can expect a good selection of Chinese food, with one reviewer specifically mentioning the delicious curry rice. Our commitment is to offer a range of meals that cater to different tastes and preferences within the Asian culinary landscape.

The environment at Panda Garden Buffet is described as your "average American Chinese restaurant," suggesting a casual and comfortable setting suitable for a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner with family and friends. While it might not be a high-end dining experience, it provides a practical and accessible option for those seeking a satisfying and varied meal.

One of the key features of Panda Garden Buffet is the all-you-can-eat format. For a fair price, as noted by a customer who paid $14.25 for the lunch buffet, you can enjoy a wide array of dishes. This pricing makes it an attractive option for those looking for value and the opportunity to try different foods without ordering individual portions.

While the buffet might not be the "biggest buffet ever," it still offers a substantial selection of dishes to choose from. Customers have noted that you can generally find "mostly what you need," indicating a satisfactory variety of options. One reviewer was pleasantly surprised by the inclusion of calamari, highlighting that there are some unexpected and enjoyable items available.

Beyond the main dishes, Panda Garden Buffet also offers additional treats. While one early review mentioned the absence of ice cream, a more recent customer noted the presence of self-serve ice cream and cakes available in the back of the restaurant. This addition provides a sweet conclusion to your meal, offering a variety of dessert options to choose from.

The service at Panda Garden Buffet is generally regarded as good, contributing to a pleasant dining experience. While specific details about table service are not extensively mentioned in the provided reviews, the overall sentiment suggests that the staff is efficient in managing the buffet and ensuring a satisfactory visit for customers.

A unique aspect of Panda Garden Buffet, as highlighted by a customer, is the inclusion of Hmong and Thai cuisine alongside traditional Chinese dishes. This blend offers a more diverse culinary experience than a typical American Chinese restaurant. While the specific Hmong and Thai dishes are not detailed, the mention suggests an opportunity to explore flavors beyond the standard Chinese buffet fare, such as the "good curry rice" which might hint at Thai influences.

Keep in mind, as one reviewer aptly pointed out, that Panda Garden Buffet largely aligns with the expectations of an "average American Chinese restaurant." Therefore, while the food is generally considered "pretty good" and offers a satisfying "guilty pleasure" experience for some, it might not represent highly authentic or gourmet Asian cuisine. The focus is on providing a wide selection of familiar and enjoyable dishes at a reasonable price.

Keep in mind; this is still just your average American Chinese restaurant for the most part and I’m reviewing it with that in mind. It’s most likely not going to blow you away by any means, but keeping that in mind and how it’s more so a guilty pleasure kinda food, it’s not so bad. Prices are fair, when me and my friends stopped by for what we expected was cheap lunch, it was about what we expected. 14.25$ for all you can eat buffet, fairly cheap. It’s not the biggest buffet ever, so selections are a little bit more limited. But you still get mostly what you need and the food is pretty good. I was surprised to see calamari honestly, those were quite good. They also had good string beans. All in all a good pleasant experience. They also have self serve ice cream and some cakes in the back against the wall so that was a good treat. All in all, solid buffet and would come again in a blue moon for a quick grub.

The buffet selection is small and tastes of 50 year old knock off Tupperware. The wallpaper is held up with packing tape and the air returns in the ceiling had enough dirt to propagate seedlings. The drink machine was dubious at best, in both cleanliness and function. Milk only available on request according to the sign on the broken milk machine? Ice cream machine also broken. I wouldn't have used it if it was working. The food was reminiscent of a south Louisiana bog in both texture and flavor, except for the teriyaki sticks which could have appeared as a background mummy prop in an Indiana Jones movie. Would only recommend to people you dislike. The cost for this unfortunate memory was $18 per person. 1 star instead of 0 because they are open on Easter.

Food was disappointing. Fish tasted like dirt. Fried octopus was too chewy. Crawfish tasted like it wasn’t cleaned before boiled. Meat on the stick was hard. Drink machine was mostly malfunctioned. Not really a buffet I would say. It such a small limited food
we didn’t finished our first plate and left within 15mins.

Absolutely love this buffet. Nice size and variety. The food is always fresh and not allowed to sit. I love the poached fish and the chicken vegetable curry. I have lunch and then I ordered k two large containers of to take home. They do have take home containers available to purchase meals by the weight.
