However, it is important to consider some of the feedback from recent customers at this specific Palm Desert location. Several reviews paint a less than ideal picture of the service and food quality experienced. One customer with experience at various Panda Express locations across the country described this one as the "worst location" they had eaten at. Their complaints included carelessly made food, particularly mentioning the Honey Walnut Shrimp, and negative interactions with the employees, specifically highlighting an issue with the manager, Manny or Manuel.
This customer recounted two specific instances involving the manager. In the first instance, they believed they were overcharged due to the manager's explanation of the pricing not aligning with the menu board. The second incident involved a lack of communication regarding a "cash only" payment situation, leading to frustration among waiting customers and what was perceived as a defensive and unhelpful attitude from the manager. This reviewer expressed significant disappointment and stated their intention not to return to this location.
Another customer shared a negative experience involving an incorrect order initially given to someone else, followed by a remade order with noticeably small portions. This reviewer also mentioned a significant wait time and perceived slowness from the food preparation staff, although they did note that the staff were nice. This feedback suggests potential inconsistencies in food portioning and service speed at this particular Panda Express.
It is crucial for local users to be aware of these recent experiences when considering dining at or ordering from the Panda Express at 42175 Washington St # A in Palm Desert. While Panda Express as a brand is widely recognized, these reviews indicate potential issues specific to this location that may impact the overall customer experience. Customer Reviews
As someone that has had Panda Express throughout the nation and a few outside the country, this is the worst location I’ve eaten at. My family had given it the benefit of the doubt, more than we should have just because it was close to our home. It’s either the food was carelessly made (usually the honey walnut shrimp) or the attitude of the employees. Not to mention the manager, Manny or Manuel, that I have interacted with twice. Once, when he rung my order incorrectly. I ordered a plate with a premium entree. So that would be the price of a plate + $1.50. This location manager charged me for a bigger plate and the premium entree price. I politely informed him that it was incorrect on the screen as for the prices are indicated on the menu board. He told me that the price on the screen was the price of my meal and that it didn’t go based on that, but what is on the register. I was in disbelief and didn’t want to waste any more time arguing his logic. The second time was this evening. There was a line to place orders. The same manager was serving the orders. A few minutes pass and someone that was being rung up was told that they only accepted cash. No staff nor the manager announced that they were cash only. We were informed by that one customer what was about to pay. Everyone ahead of us were rightfully upset. They have waited a great amount of time in line to only be informed that the location was only taking cash. There were no signs indicating so either. The manager yelled defensively to the line of customers, “Do you see how busy we’re are? We just found out!” He didn’t suggest any alternatives on how payments could be made or anything. What a sour attitude. This will be the last time I dine at the location. If you’ve reached the end of my lengthy rant, I hope you can imagine how disappointing it has been at this fast food place that undeservingly pays their managers a hefty salary.
They gave my order to a random then made my order again but gave me small ah portions. I’ve never gotten that little amount of food at a panda like y’all coulda hooked it up for making me wait an extra 15. All of y’all Fake and slow. I’ve worked on cars faster than the 3 people prepping food. They were all nice tho.
I walked in during their rush time. I received my food in a timely manner. Excellent service from the manager to the staff. I would also like to add that they received a very rude customer while I was there. The whole staff responded accordingly. I was very impressed with their professionalism. It is not an easy industry to work in.
I've gone here about 3 times & every time the food has been awful! Dry rice, food wasn't fresh & portions are very small. The price sure isn't. I've contacted the customer complaint & wrote nicely about the problems I experienced w no response. I wonder why the restaurant is always empty, now I see why. Don't waste your $!
Great food, very busy place during pick hours ( lunch & dinner) always fresh made food
