About Panda Express

Panda Express is a well-known Chinese Restaurant chain with a location at E, 3183 Wilshire Blvd #115A, Los Angeles, CA 90010, USA. Their phone number is (213) 291-9986 or +1 213-291-9986. While Panda Express is generally recognized for its quick-service Chinese-American cuisine, recent reviews regarding this specific location raise notable concerns for local users.

One customer reported a distressing experience involving the discovery of a long strand of black hair in their honey sesame chicken after purchasing a two-entree plate that also included orange chicken and super greens. The customer's attempt to address this issue with the manager, identified as James, was met with what they described as a lack of acknowledgment, apology, and professionalism. The customer stated that the manager's response to the complaint was dismissive and that the subsequent interaction with an employee named Samantha regarding a refund was equally unhelpful, initially being told a refund for only the contaminated item was not possible and then that refunds were not processed at all.

Ultimately, a full refund was granted after further persistence from the customer. This experience was described as reflecting poorly on the establishment, with the reviewer emphasizing the disheartening nature of the poor customer service encountered.

Another recent review highlighted issues with the store closing earlier than the posted hours. A customer arriving at 9:35 PM on November 30, 2024, was informed that they had already run out of food and would not be preparing more chow mein, despite the stated closing time being 10:00 PM according to an employee and 10:30 PM according to the hours displayed. This suggests potential inconsistencies in operating hours and food availability, particularly later in the evening.

These recent customer experiences indicate potential issues with food safety and customer service at this particular Panda Express location in Los Angeles. Local users may want to consider these recent reports when deciding to dine at this establishment.

I visited this evening and ordered a two-entree plate with honey sesame chicken, orange chicken, and super greens. On my way home, I started eating, but when I got to my garage and turned on the light, I noticed a long strand of black hair in the honey chicken. I was disgusted, especially since I had already taken a bite. I returned to the store with my food, and there was a customer in line ahead of me. The manager, James, made eye contact with me but didn’t acknowledge my presence or the food container I was holding. He just stood there observing the customer interaction without engaging. When I approached the counter and asked if he was the manager, he confirmed. I explained the issue and showed him the hair in my food. Instead of apologizing, he merely looked at the plate, asked “where?”, and made no effort to take the plate or address the situation properly. He then looked around as if trying to figure out whose hair it was, involving Samantha, the employee who prepared my plate. They both started discussing how the hair couldn’t belong to any of the cooks, making it feel like they were subtly implying I was at fault. When I requested a refund, James asked if I wanted a replacement plate or something else, but I declined, saying I no longer felt comfortable eating there. Samantha then jumped in, saying they couldn’t process a refund just for the honey chicken and that they were unable to do refunds at all. Her tone was dismissive, and she even suggested giving me another portion of honey chicken from the same batch. Why would I want more food from a contaminated batch? The lack of professionalism and customer service was appalling. James displayed no leadership or empathy, and Samantha’s attitude made the situation even worse. After the continues question from Samantha of, "Well what do I want them to do?" James finally says he'll do the refund. Samantha again jumps in saying you can't do the refund for the honey chicken without refunding the whole thing. And then James says well I'll refund the whole thing. I guess once James saw I wasn't being combative he just decided to give me the refund. I don't understand why it even took all of that for me to get a refund for finding hair in my food. This experience reflects poorly on the establishment and reinforces how disheartening it is to encounter such poor customer service in Los Angeles.

All the reviews on closing early is true just got here at 9:35pm and they had already ran out of food i asked the lady if they will make more chowmein she said no that all we have what ever is out we about to close. I ask the lady behind the counter what time they close she said 10pm every day even though the hours out front say 10:30pm management should definitely start checking in on the employees here since it is a busy panda specially being next to a Metro station. This was on 11/30/24 at 9:37pm

Portions got way small for the price. The inside space is cramped. The staff seem overworked and overwhelmed. It is a good idea to have the window for online/mobile order pickups outside, but it would actually be nice for that window to have an eye on it. It took a long time for someone to check to see if anyone was out there. Food tasted OK and fresh, but for the price and portion, it definitely is not what it used to be. Parking for quick pickups is free. Maybe 30 minutes grace period..didn't get charged for parking for pickup.

Panda closes at 10. I got hear at 9:40. I was planning on getting the family meal for the family. They didn’t have any food to serve. They said they stop making more earlier on the night to get out at 10pm. Why say you are open until 10 if you stop cooking at 9ish to leave at 10. There was 3 other people in line to. Bummed there was no food. That’s ok - I went next store to Chipotle. They too closed at 10. But ready to make my family their meals.
