The menu at Panda Express features several signature dishes that have gained popularity nationwide. According to one customer review, certain items at this Appleton location were well-received, including the Orange Chicken, Firecracker Beef and Shrimp, and noodles. The fortune cookie, a common accompaniment to American Chinese meals, was also mentioned positively. These dishes are often praised for their flavor and are considered reliable choices by some patrons.

However, the same review also highlighted significant issues with the quality of other food items. The rice was described as "hard" and having an "off" taste. The Honey Walnut Shrimp had a particularly concerning issue, as it reportedly still had a "weird shelly thing" on it despite being breaded, leading to an unpleasant discovery upon biting into it and a "rancid" taste. Additionally, the Crab Rangoon were described as "rock hard." This feedback suggests that while some of Panda Express's well-known dishes might meet expectations at this location, there can be inconsistencies in the preparation and quality of other menu items.

Another crucial aspect of any dining experience is customer service. One frequent customer, who works at the mall where this Panda Express is located, shared a negative experience regarding the service. While acknowledging that they enjoy the food and sometimes receive friendly service and even discounts from some employees, they reported "downright horrible" customer service overall. Specific complaints included being lied to about wait times, being ignored, and generally being treated poorly. The reviewer specifically named two individuals, Belen and the manager, as being the source of particularly "awful" experiences. This feedback indicates potential issues with the customer service standards and consistency at this Appleton branch, which could significantly impact the overall dining experience for some customers.

The girl who checked me out was friendly and everything was super clean, but the food was awful. With the exception of the orange chicken, firecracker beef and shrimp, noodles, and the fortune cookie. The rice was hard and tasted off, the honey walnut shrimp still had the weird shelly thing on it (while being breaded so I couldn’t tell until I bit into it) and tasted rancid and the crab Rangoon's were rock hard. The rest of my food was good but the rice, honey shrimp and the crab Rangoon's was not very good. Panda has really gone downhill over the years.

Working at the mall, I frequent panda a lot, usually around 2 to 3 times a week. don’t get me wrong. I love their food, but the customer service is downright horrible. I have been lied to about wait times, ignored, and downright treated horrible. Working in sales myself I know how important it is to have good customer service and treat how to your customers well, and this Panda Express simply does not. Some workers are super friendly and even give me a discount for working at the mall but the two worst ones are Belen and the manager. The experiences I have had with these two are downright awful and I hope they get their stuff straight.

The staff were super unfriendly and rude. I was told to wait a couple minutes for fresh mixed veggies and ended up waiting a lot longer and the veggies weren’t even fully cooked. The employee beforehand tried to put old disgusting looking veggies in my bowl, and when I received it, the old gross ones were in there and the orange chicken tasted gross and old. Overall a horrible experience and will probably never return.

My kids like to eat here. We usually get the fried rice with orange chicken in a bowl, that's the most popular combo they have there. I like that you can see the food right infront of you so you know exactly what your getting. It can get very busy during regular meal time and on weekends. We were there around 4:30 pm on a Friday and it wasn't too busy.

The person fixing the plates was really skimmed on my food. I watched her fix healthy plates to a few people ahead of me and when I ordered I got less then half. I asked her about it and she didn't have a response. I feel I was being singled out because I'm black. I didn't like her attitude and will take my business elsewhere.
