About Panda Express
Panda Express, situated at 1730 W Fullerton Ave #25, Chicago, IL 60614, operates within the widely recognized **Chinese Restaurant** category. As part of a national chain, this location aims to provide the familiar fast-casual American Chinese cuisine that Panda Express is known for. It serves as a convenient option for quick meals, whether for dine-in or takeout, for residents and visitors in the Chicago area. For inquiries or to place an order, you can contact them at (773) 935-6128 or +1 773-935-6128.
The core offerings at Panda Express revolve around a customizable meal concept. Customers typically select a base such as **fried rice, chow mein, or steamed white or brown rice**, and then choose from a variety of signature entrees. This location, specifically, has been praised for its food being "nice hot and crispy," with the "Flavor is consistent," particularly for its **Orange Chicken**, a highly popular sweet and savory dish. Other staple entrees likely available include **Beijing Beef, Broccoli Beef, Kung Pao Chicken, and Honey Walnut Shrimp**, among others. These dishes are prepared in a wok, offering a fresh, cooked-to-order feel in a fast-paced environment. The menu also includes appetizers like spring rolls and cream cheese rangoon. Panda Express also offers "Wok Smart" options for those seeking lighter or healthier choices, and provides **Family Meals** and **catering options** for larger gatherings. The emphasis is on delivering flavorful, satisfying portions quickly, making it a go-to for many seeking accessible Chinese-American food.
The environment at this Panda Express location typically aligns with the brand's standard design: a functional, bright, and clean space. It's designed to facilitate a quick-service experience, allowing customers to move efficiently along the food line to select their desired items. There would be seating available for dine-in customers, generally consisting of tables and booths, catering to a casual dining atmosphere. One reviewer notes that it's "fast food so treat it as such," which sets appropriate expectations for the dining environment. While not a full-service, sit-down restaurant, the space aims to be comfortable enough for a quick meal. The overall cleanliness of the establishment is generally a priority for the brand, and it's implied that the environment is functional for its purpose. The design focuses on practicality and efficiency to handle a steady flow of customers, ensuring a quick and easy dining experience.
The service at Panda Express on Fullerton Ave receives mixed feedback, indicating some areas of strength and others that could see improvement. On the positive side, one customer explicitly states, "Service is fast and friendly," highlighting efficiency and a welcoming demeanor from the staff. This aligns with the fast-casual model, where speed and politeness are crucial. However, another detailed review points to **inconsistencies in staff training**. While acknowledging that "The staff is nice," the reviewer notes they "lack proper training which is no fault of their own, rather management." A specific instance involved difficulty getting a clear answer about an entree's flavor profile (sweet or savory), with the staff member repeatedly responding about spiciness instead. This suggests a need for more comprehensive product knowledge among some employees, especially since "They don’t give samples anymore." The review also mentions that "Food quality and portioning can be a little inconsistent as well," further reinforcing concerns about training across all aspects of the operation. This feedback suggests that while the intent of the staff may be friendly, there are gaps in their ability to provide thorough and consistent service due to training issues.
The features of this Panda Express location are a blend of brand strengths and localized challenges. A key feature is the **consistent flavor** of some of its core dishes, with one customer stating, "Flavor is consistent" and praising the Orange Chicken, beef and broccoli, and noodles as "nice hot and crispy" and "packed with flavor." This reliability in taste is a major draw for customers who appreciate the familiar Panda Express experience. The **fast service** is another prominent feature, catering to individuals seeking a quick and convenient meal. The restaurant's involvement in **fundraising** for local schools also highlights a community-friendly aspect, showing engagement beyond just commercial operations. However, a significant feature that detracts from the experience is the **inconsistency in food quality and portioning**, as well as the perceived **lack of proper staff training**, particularly regarding menu knowledge and the ability to provide clear answers to customer questions. The absence of samples, combined with incomplete staff knowledge, makes it challenging for customers to explore new items. Despite these inconsistencies, the overall brand appeal and the quick service continue to attract patrons, especially those who appreciate the convenience of fast-casual Chinese food and are willing to manage their expectations regarding potential minor issues.
While specific daily promotions for the 1730 W Fullerton Ave location are best confirmed directly with the restaurant or via the official Panda Express website, the chain generally employs various promotional strategies to attract and retain customers. These often include **combo meal deals, family meal bundles, and seasonal specials** tied to new or limited-time menu items. Customers can typically benefit from promotions by signing up for the Panda Express email list or downloading their mobile app, which frequently provides access to **exclusive offers, rewards, and early announcements** of new products. The "Panda Points" loyalty program is a common feature, allowing customers to earn points on purchases that can be redeemed for free food or discounts. Gift card promotions, such as receiving a bonus card with a qualifying gift card purchase, are also frequently available, particularly around holidays. Given the fast-casual nature, promotions often emphasize value and convenience. While the customer feedback mentions occasional inconsistencies in food quality and portioning, the brand's overall recognition and the allure of its signature dishes continue to make these promotions effective for many patrons seeking a quick and flavorful Chinese-American meal.

I would give more points if I could, the food is nice hot and crispy, got extra box of orange chicken for my family. Flavor is consistent. Service is fast and friendly. I will be back.
I generally don’t have any issues at this location. It’s fast food so treat it as such. The staff is nice but lack proper training which is no fault of their own, rather management. They don’t give samples anymore so I asked a simple question whether one of their entrees was sweet or savory and the answer I got was that it’s spicy. That’s great but now what I wanted to know. I repeated the question 4 times before giving up and asking someone else ha. Food quality and portioning can be a little inconsistent as well. Training fell through the cracks all around it seems. It’s not a full service restaurant so don’t come in with those expectations and you won’t be disappointed
It’s been a hot minute I ate at Panda and I noticed the prices went up and the portion reduced so much that it is noticeable. I thought they are better than Chipotle but they are the same now. With this said, this is my last day eating here.
Amazing employee! Every food looks fresh and Good and stuff there aging are ready to serve!! Thank you 🙏
It’s a Panda Express - tastes the same as the rest, but I run errands near here and the staff is exceptional, especially for fast food. So many places these days the staff wears their disdain on their face so it’s a nice surprise to see people here respect their work. The December 12 afternoon staff did a good job
