About Panda Express
Panda Express, situated at 4203 W 41st St, Sioux Falls, SD 57106, is a well-recognized establishment within the **Chinese Restaurant** category, offering a fast-casual approach to American Chinese cuisine. As part of a large national chain, this location aims to provide the familiar menu and efficient service that Panda Express is known for. You can reach them at (605) 271-9887 or +1 605-271-9887 for inquiries or to place an order.
The core offering at Panda Express revolves around a customizable meal concept. Customers typically select a base, such as **fried rice, chow mein, or steamed rice**, and then choose from a variety of signature entrees. Popular dishes include the iconic **Orange Chicken**, a sweet and savory favorite, **Beijing Beef**, known for its crispy texture and tangy sauce, and the savory **Broccoli Beef**. Other frequently ordered items include **Kung Pao Chicken** and **Honey Walnut Shrimp**. They also offer lighter, "Wok Smart" options for those seeking meals with fewer calories or more vegetables, such as **Super Greens**. Beyond individual meals, Panda Express also provides **Family Meals** and **catering options**, designed for larger groups or events, allowing customers to order party-sized trays of their favorite entrees and sides. This extensive menu is a key feature of Panda Express, promising variety and catering to a wide range of tastes within the American Chinese culinary landscape.
The environment at this Panda Express location, similar to others in the chain, is designed for efficiency and high volume. It typically features a brightly lit, modern interior with counter service for ordering and a cafeteria-style setup for food selection. Seating is usually available for dine-in customers, though the emphasis is on quick service, making it suitable for a fast lunch or casual dinner. A drive-thru is also available, providing an additional layer of convenience for customers on the go. However, recent customer feedback suggests some challenges with the dining room's operating hours, with one review noting, "Tonight, I went through the drive through because, apparently, their dining room closes at 8." This indicates that dine-in hours might be more limited than expected. While designed for a streamlined experience, the convenience of the drive-thru and the generally bright interior are intended to provide a pleasant, albeit quick, dining atmosphere.
Service at this Panda Express location appears to be a point of concern for some customers. While the fast-casual model aims for quick turnaround, multiple reviews highlight issues with **consistent availability of menu items** and the efficiency of informing customers about these shortages. One frustrated customer stated, "This place never has the items offered on their menu. Every time I have been there, they have been out of multiple products." Another recounted a particularly challenging drive-thru experience: "Waited in line behind 8-10 cars, get up to the screen and the guy tells me he's out of a number of items. He said, 'Would you like to know what we have available?' Ok, yes, that seems like it would be useful information. It was faster for him to tell me what they have than to tell me what they are out of." This suggests that while the staff may be trying to manage inventory, the communication process regarding unavailable items could be improved to enhance the customer experience and prevent frustration, especially for those waiting in long lines. Other comments, such as "portions are small" and issues with food quality like "shrimp were falling apart and smelled bad, the cheese envelopes also had a bad flavor," point to inconsistencies that can impact overall service perception.
The primary feature of Panda Express is its delivery of a consistent and recognizable American Chinese fast-casual experience across its many locations. The brand's strength lies in its popular and accessible menu items, which have garnered a loyal following. The convenience of its drive-thru and the option for quick takeout or dine-in meals cater to busy lifestyles. However, a significant recurring issue at this specific 41st Street location appears to be the **inconsistent availability of menu items**. One reviewer expressed this frustration by saying, "The only reason I come back is because I like the food from Panda Express," despite repeated disappointments with item availability. This ongoing challenge with inventory management significantly impacts the customer experience, as it forces patrons to adjust their orders or leave empty-handed after waiting. Furthermore, concerns about **portion sizes** and occasional **food quality issues** (e.g., "shrimp were falling apart and smelled bad") suggest that while the brand's core offerings are generally liked, the execution at this particular branch can be inconsistent. The desire for "stock the product that's on your menu...or make it to order!" reflects a strong customer expectation for the full menu to be available, especially given the established nature of the brand.
While specific daily or weekly promotions for the 4203 W 41st St location are best confirmed directly with the restaurant or via the official Panda Express website, the chain generally offers various promotional incentives. These often include **combo deals, family meal bundles, and seasonal specials**. Customers can typically sign up for the Panda Express email list or download their mobile app to receive exclusive offers, rewards, and information on new menu items. The "Panda Points" loyalty program allows customers to earn points with every qualifying purchase, which can then be redeemed for rewards. Gift card promotions are also common, where customers might receive a bonus card with the purchase of a certain amount in gift cards. While promotional information is usually consistent across the chain, the customer reviews indicating frequent item unavailability at this specific location could impact the actual realization of advertised deals if the desired items are not in stock. Therefore, while Panda Express aims to provide value through its promotions, customers visiting this particular branch might benefit from confirming item availability before arriving, especially for larger orders or specific cravings. Despite the noted challenges, the brand's overall popularity and the appeal of its core menu items continue to draw customers, underscoring the potential for a positive experience if stock issues are resolved.

This place never has the items offered on their menu. Every time I have been there, they have been out of multiple products. The only reason I come back is because I like the food from Panda Express. Tonight, I went through the drive through because, apparently, their dining room closes at 8. Waited in line behind 8-10 cars, get up to the screen and the guy tells me he's out of a number of items. He said, "Would you like to know what we have available?" Ok, yes, that seems like it would be useful information. It was faster for him to tell me what they have than to tell me what they are out of. It was pathetic. I'm so sick of trying to go here to get what I want and not be able to. The really upsetting part was that I had to wait in the drive through line just to find out they didn't have half their items. It was an hour and a half before closing, the line in front of me was long, the line behind me was long. It's not like people weren't ordering...stock the product that's on your menu...or make it to order! This was post-dinner rush. You can't tell me you were too busy. Keep staff on, make the items, prepare for business. I get it when it happens once in a while but this has happened every time I've been here. That's just poor management of resources. I've been disappointed multiple times here and have given them the benefit of the doubt but enough is enough. Please quit treating your customers like this or they'll leave like I did.
Today (Saturday mid afternoon) ordered the standard order I always do at all pandas express across the country. First of all, the portions are small. Second the shrimp were falling apart and smelled bad, the cheese envelopes also had a bad flavor. Third, after 20 minutes, I needed the restroom. I run into this on the road, but very rarely. This place would not recommend it.
Food was good omg the service was terrible was the second in line the first car order and went had food right away I waited and waited said hello got a guy said just a moment okay 3 min pass I ask again a girl comes on saying she could help then goes oh nm her we r waiting AGAIN I go hello what the hell guy comes back on saying just a minute we sat they waiting to order for 15 MINUTES just to order by this time I had 5 cars behind me that I could see finally we got to order the fellow didn't says anything no sorry or thanks for waiting NOTHING I had to ASK for my total. Definitely NOT COOL
Half staff was on there phone they were busy. Over charged. Only got 2 medium white rice, 1 panda bowl, and 2 small fountain drinks total should have been 16.30 before tax yet they managed to charge $24.40. Definitely contacting the District or regional manager and BBB. How many other people have the robed today
I ordered delivery so my expectations weren't very high for the food, in general. I paid for a plate - 2 mains 2 sides - and what showed up was a bowl jam packed with the 2 sides and one of the mains; what I ordered, and what the receipt says, are two different things. That being said, I wasn't disappointed in the food itself. It was decent for delivered fast food chinese. (shrug) I will say that the crab Rangoon were very good.
