About Panda Express

Panda Express is a Chinese restaurant located at 11 Van Campen Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28403, USA. As a well-known chain within the Chinese Restaurant category, this location of Panda Express can be contacted at their phone number (910) 604-7028 or their mobile phone +1 910-604-7028.

When local users consider dining at a Chinese restaurant, factors such as the variety and taste of the food, the convenience of services like takeout and delivery, the efficiency and accuracy of order fulfillment, and the quality of customer service are often key considerations. To provide an objective introduction to this Panda Express location in Wilmington, we will analyze recent customer reviews found online to understand these aspects based on user experiences.

Recent customer feedback for the Panda Express in Wilmington indicates significant issues with order accuracy, particularly for delivery orders. One reviewer recounted a frustrating experience where they ordered two meals, two appetizers, and a dessert for delivery. Upon arrival via DoorDash, the bag appeared to contain the entire order. However, upon closer inspection at home, they discovered that one meal and both appetizers were missing. By the time the error was realized, the delivery driver was gone, and attempts to contact the driver were unsuccessful. This incident highlights a significant problem with ensuring the completeness of delivery orders, leading to a customer receiving only a portion of what they paid for.

Adding to the frustration, the same reviewer reported difficulty in contacting the restaurant directly to address the missing items. Upon calling Panda Express, they were met with an automated message stating that no one was available to take their call, and the call then disconnected without an option to leave a voicemail. This lack of direct communication further compounded the negative experience, preventing the customer from seeking immediate resolution for their incomplete order.

This was not an isolated incident, as the reviewer mentioned that similar issues with online orders missing items, particularly desserts, had occurred "several times in the past." However, this instance, where half of the entire order was missing, was deemed "ridiculous." The reviewer explicitly pointed out a recurring problem with the restaurant's system for ensuring that all ordered food items are correctly included in delivery orders, suggesting a need for improvement in their processes related to third-party delivery services like DoorDash.

In addition to issues with delivery orders, another reviewer shared a disappointing experience with in-restaurant customer service. This frequent patron, who typically enjoys eating at the location, recounted an interaction with an employee named Nichole. When asked a question, Nichole reportedly sought assistance from a very new trainee who was on their first day. Upon the trainee's lack of knowledge, Nichole allegedly responded with a "terrible attitude," simply stating, "I don’t know…Then No!" to a question about Wi-Fi availability. The reviewer was understandably "taken aback" and "very put off" by this interaction.

Concerned by this unprofessional behavior, the reviewer decided to speak with the manager, Michael, who was described as "very professional" and attentive to the complaint. The reviewer, identifying themselves as being in the service industry, emphasized the importance of customer feedback and stated that their intention was not to seek compensation but rather to ensure that Nichole receives proper training in customer service. While acknowledging that the restaurant is generally a "good place to eat" with many competent employees, the reviewer expressed that a continuation of such negative service experiences would lead them to seek alternative dining options. This feedback underscores the importance of consistent and positive customer service, even from frontline employees, and the potential impact of poor interactions on customer loyalty.

Based on these recent reviews, the Panda Express in Wilmington appears to struggle with order accuracy for delivery services, with multiple instances of missing items being reported. Additionally, there are concerns regarding the in-restaurant customer service provided by at least one employee, who was described as having a negative attitude and providing unhelpful responses. While one reviewer generally finds the location to be a "good place to eat" with many competent staff, the issues raised regarding order fulfillment and customer service are significant and should be considered by potential customers.

The reviews do not provide specific details about the environment or ambiance of the restaurant itself. As a well-known chain, Panda Express typically has a fast-casual dining setup with a focus on quick service. However, the specific atmosphere of this Wilmington location is not described in the provided feedback. Local users interested in dining in would need to visit the location or seek additional information from other sources.

The reviews clearly indicate that Panda Express in Wilmington offers both takeout and delivery services (through DoorDash). However, the issues with order accuracy for delivery have been highlighted as a significant concern. The in-restaurant service experience described by one reviewer suggests that the quality of service can vary depending on the employee encountered.

As a chain restaurant, Panda Express is known for its specific menu items and standardized recipes. Popular dishes often include Orange Chicken, Broccoli Beef, Kung Pao Chicken, and various fried rice and noodle options. The reviews provided do not specifically praise or criticize the food quality itself, but rather focus on the accuracy of orders and the quality of customer service. Therefore, local users familiar with the Panda Express menu can likely expect the standard offerings at this location.

The provided reviews do not contain any information about current promotions, discounts, or special offers that this Panda Express location might be running. As a national chain, Panda Express often has nationwide promotions, which local users might be aware of or can check through the official Panda Express website or app. However, no specific local promotions for the Wilmington store are mentioned in the provided feedback.

In conclusion, recent customer reviews for the Panda Express in Wilmington, NC, highlight significant concerns regarding order accuracy for delivery services and inconsistent in-restaurant customer service. While the food quality itself is not the primary focus of these reviews, the recurring issues with missing items in delivery orders and the negative interaction with a staff member are important factors for local users to consider. Potential customers, especially those opting for delivery, should be aware of the reported issues with order fulfillment. Those dining in may also want to be mindful of potential inconsistencies in customer service. While one reviewer still finds it to be a generally good place to eat with many competent staff, the highlighted problems suggest a need for improvement in order management and customer service training at this specific location.

I ordered tonight for delivery and ordered two meals, two appetizers, and a dessert. When the door dasher arrived she handed me a bag which seemed like it had everything in it. When I got it to the table and opened it I found that they only had put one meal in and the dessert. The second meal, and the two appetizers were not here. By the time I noticed the dasher was already gone. I tried to reach out to the dasher via the phone number provided to me with no luck. I called the Panda Express and was told via an automated message that no one was available to take my call and then it hung up without me being able to leave a voicemail. We've had this happen several times in the past ordering online and them leaving the desserts out, this was half of my order. This is ridiculous, whatever issue they are having with door dash and not getting all the food to the destination needs to get fixed.

I’m not sure this review will make a difference… I’m not one to leave a negative review, but today was disappointing to say the least. I frequently eat in the restaurant. Today I asked a question to Nichole whom obviously did not have the answer and went about asking her coworker very very new hire (new first day on training) and with him having no clue she In turn with a terrible attitude responding I don’t know…Then No! To the question of do you offer WIFI. I was obviously taken aback and was very put off!!!! I sat down and considered should I speak to a manager? And so I decided yes. The manager was very professional (Michael) and listened to my complaints. I’m in the service industry (I was in work clothes) so I know these reviews really matter. I’m not looking for anything in return other than Nichole being trained properly. It’s a good place to eat and most of the workers are good at their jobs. But if this continues I’ll find a new place to eat. Hopefully this will reach to the right people and help Nichole get the training she needs to treat guests/customers properly.

Something was off at this location with the food. Normally I love Panda Express and I went to this location for the first time. I noticed the orange chicken had a slightly different texture to the breading and the chow mein was the driest I’ve ever had it. I put on more than one pack of soy sauce to give the chow mein flavor. Also, had to ask for the soy sauce since the employee didn’t offer me any sauces. After eating and leaving, before even getting home, I feel like everything I ate had come out of me. I’ll leave out the details on how. It was gross and the food must’ve been stored incorrectly or something. I never want to try this location again.

I like Panda Express. The food is hot and delicious. They have excellent tea and interesting, unique juices. The service is fast and the staff is friendly. The restaurant is clean. Good place to sit and enjoy a meal alone or with a small group or family.
