About Panda Express

Panda Express, a well-known chain in the Chinese restaurant category, offers a familiar selection of American Chinese cuisine to the residents and visitors of Midlothian, Texas. Located at 340 US-287, this branch provides services typically associated with fast-casual dining, including options for both eating in and taking away. While specific details about the ambiance of this particular location are not provided in the given information, Panda Express restaurants generally feature a brightly lit and efficient environment designed for quick service. Customers can usually expect a visible serving area where a variety of dishes are displayed, allowing for easy selection as they move along the counter. Seating is typically available for individuals, couples, and families looking for a quick meal on-site.

The core service model of Panda Express centers around a cafeteria-style ordering process. Customers proceed along a serving line, choosing their preferred entrees, sides, and appetizers, which are then assembled by the staff. This system is designed for speed and convenience, catering to those seeking a fast and satisfying meal. In addition to dining within the restaurant, Panda Express also facilitates takeout orders, enabling customers to enjoy their food at a different location. The provided phone number, (972) 775-7838, and mobile number, +1 972-775-7838, suggest that phone orders and inquiries are possible. However, the availability of online ordering or delivery services specific to this Midlothian location is not mentioned in the provided data. It is common for Panda Express locations to partner with third-party delivery services, so local users may want to explore those platforms for potential delivery options.

Panda Express is widely recognized for its menu of American Chinese favorites, including dishes like Orange Chicken, Chow Mein, and Kung Pao Chicken, which were mentioned in the provided reviews. These dishes typically feature a combination of protein (chicken) prepared with distinct sauces and often include vegetables and noodles or rice. Customers can also choose from a selection of other entrees, sides like fried rice and steamed vegetables, and appetizers such as spring rolls and egg rolls. Beverages, including soft drinks, and fortune cookies are also standard offerings at most Panda Express locations.

However, the customer reviews provided for this specific Panda Express in Midlothian, TX, raise significant concerns about the food quality and preparation. One reviewer who visited shortly after opening expressed disappointment with the Orange Chicken, stating that it was either burnt or reheated from the previous day, resulting in an "Extra Crunchy" texture that was difficult to eat. In contrast, this reviewer found the Chow Mein and Kung Pao to be "fine," indicating some inconsistency in the quality of different dishes.

Another reviewer reported a much more alarming experience, claiming they were served a "huge raw piece of chicken." This is a serious food safety concern and the reviewer expressed disbelief that such a mistake could occur, noting the potential harm it could cause. They also mentioned attempting to contact the restaurant by phone to address the issue but stated that no one answered and the calls kept being hung up, which further exacerbates the negative experience due to a lack of customer service responsiveness.

The feedback from these two customers points to potentially significant issues with food quality control and food safety at this Panda Express location in Midlothian. The report of reheated or burnt Orange Chicken suggests a lack of attention to freshness and proper cooking procedures. The more serious claim of being served raw chicken indicates a critical failure in food safety practices, which could have severe health consequences for the customer. The difficulty in contacting the restaurant to address these issues further compounds the negative impression.

It is important to consider that these reviews represent individual experiences and may not be indicative of every customer's visit. However, the severity of the issues raised, particularly the serving of raw chicken, should be a major concern for potential customers. While Panda Express as a brand has a widespread presence and a generally recognized menu, it appears that this specific branch in Midlothian may be facing significant challenges in maintaining food quality and safety standards. The fact that one reviewer found some dishes (Chow Mein and Kung Pao) to be acceptable while others (Orange Chicken) were severely lacking suggests inconsistency within their offerings.

For local users in Midlothian considering dining at this Panda Express, it would be prudent to take these recent negative reviews very seriously. The reported issues with food being burnt or reheated, and especially the claim of raw chicken being served, indicate a potential risk to food safety and overall dining experience. While the convenience of the location and the familiarity of the Panda Express menu might still be appealing to some, the recent feedback strongly suggests caution. Potential customers might want to consider these recent experiences and perhaps look for more recent reviews on other platforms to get a broader understanding of the current customer sentiment towards this particular Panda Express in Midlothian, TX, before making a decision. The lack of responsiveness to customer complaints, as mentioned in one review, is also a factor to consider.

In conclusion, Panda Express at 340 US-287 in Midlothian, TX, offers a standard menu of American Chinese fast food with options for dine-in and takeout. However, recent customer reviews indicate significant concerns regarding food quality and safety. Issues reported include burnt or reheated food, and alarmingly, the serving of raw chicken. The difficulty in contacting the restaurant to address these issues further adds to the negative feedback. Potential customers should be aware of these serious concerns when considering this location for their dining needs and may want to seek more up-to-date information before making a decision.

Went by there today as soon as they opened since I thought it be fresh and let me tell you it was disappointing they either burnt or reheated the orange chicken from the day before. I’ve never had Extra Crunchy orange chicken couldn’t even use the fork to get into it. The Chow Mein and Kung Pao were fine!

I’ve always loved this location, but i don’t know what happened today that they served me a huge raw piece of chicken. I get it when there’s little mistakes like putting more cabbage than meat but a huge raw chicken is unbelievable, that can hurt someone badly. I called to talk to you guys about it but no one is answering and keep hanging up.

I’m beginning to rethink panda, Ive noticed for awhile now that when I buy the string bean chicken and the mushroom chicken, like today I counted only 4 small pieces of chicken in the string bean chicken and about 3 in the mushroom had more of mushrooms and string bean n onions. I don’t have a problem with the service but … there is less n less meat in the food these days.

Why is your food never fresh? And when you ask for it to be made fresh they over talk you and say its always fresh. Nooooooo its not. You all should look at the reviews, everybody is not lying in these here reviews. They gave me a chicken egg roll that had to be sitting under a heat lamp that was not working properly. So disappointing
