About Panda Express

Located at 12632 Totem Lake Blvd NE Ste 140, Kirkland, WA 98034, USA, **Panda Express** is a well-known fast-casual Chinese restaurant chain. Situated within a decent shopping center, this location caters to customers seeking quick and convenient American Chinese cuisine. You can contact them at (425) 968-2068 or via mobile at +1 425-968-2068.

The **environment** at Panda Express is characteristic of a fast-casual eatery. It is designed for efficiency, with a serving line where customers can view the available dishes and make their selections. While it's located in a shopping center, implying a generally clean and well-maintained area, the atmosphere is more utilitarian than a traditional sit-down restaurant. The restaurant can get "pretty busy, people waiting out the door to order at the food bar," indicating its popularity and high volume of customers, particularly during peak hours. This bustling environment is typical for a fast-casual chain focused on quick service and high turnover. The shared seating area, common in many shopping center food courts or fast-casual setups, provides a space for diners to consume their meals.

The **services** at Panda Express are built around a streamlined, quick-service model. Customers typically move along a serving line, choosing their base (like chow mein or fried rice) and then selecting various entrées. This allows for rapid order fulfillment, catering to individuals on a tight schedule. However, recent customer reviews highlight significant issues with the service at this specific Kirkland location. One customer reported an "unfriendly staff" who stated they "do not have spoons," directing the customer to "try using forks or chopsticks" for fried rice, which led to a frustrating experience. This indicates a potential lack of basic amenities and unhelpful staff interactions. Another detailed review highlighted a major problem with **online order pick-up**. A customer who ordered online and picked up the order themselves found that the "food in the bag was not mine and some other person's name on it." Efforts to resolve this issue through phone calls were met with hang-ups, and when contact was finally made, the staff member "didn't seem to understand" and "blames on the driver," despite the customer picking up the order personally. The staff also questioned why the customer "didn't check the order," despite the bag being "stapled shut," which contradicts the expectation of checking contents. This illustrates a severe breakdown in order accuracy and customer service recovery, leading to a "terrible experience" and leaving the customer "not hopeful" about a promised store credit. These instances suggest significant inconsistencies in staff training and customer support at this location.

The **features** of Panda Express's menu primarily consist of popularized American Chinese dishes designed for broad appeal. Signature items typically include **Orange Chicken**, **Kung Pao Chicken**, **Broccoli Beef**, **SweetFire Chicken Breast**, and various noodle and rice options like **Chow Mein** and **Fried Rice**. The concept allows customers to build their own plates with combinations of these dishes. While the overall menu aims for consistency across the chain, specific customer feedback on the food quality at this location has been negative. One review explicitly stated that the food was "cooked with too much vinegar," impacting the taste. The issue of receiving the wrong online order also meant the customer was "really looking forward to the meal I had ordered" but was "so disappointed" with the incorrect food, highlighting a failure to deliver the intended product. The customer's strong statement, "Lost me as customer! I will not come back again!" underscores the severity of their dissatisfaction with both food and service. This indicates that while Panda Express offers a familiar range of dishes, the execution and order accuracy at this particular location have been problematic for some patrons.

Regarding **promotional information**, Panda Express, as a large chain, benefits from extensive brand recognition and national marketing campaigns. Their general promotion revolves around providing "bold flavors" and "freshly prepared" American Chinese comfort food quickly and conveniently. Located in a shopping center, it naturally attracts foot traffic from shoppers. The promise of quick service and a variety of accessible dishes is an inherent promotional strategy. However, the recent negative customer experiences at this Kirkland location, particularly concerning inaccurate orders and poor customer service, act as a significant counter-promotion. While the chain often promotes its value and convenience, instances of "terrible experience" and "unfriendly staffs" can severely damage local reputation and customer loyalty. The cautionary advice to "Always check your order before leaving" serves as a direct warning to potential customers. For local users in Kirkland considering Panda Express, it is important to be aware of the fast-casual nature of the establishment, its typical menu offerings, and to exercise caution regarding order accuracy and the level of customer service, especially for online or takeout orders, given recent feedback.

Lost me as customer! I will not come back again! Bus is open in a decent shopping center with most of the time are decent customers. Food, however cooked with too much vinegar. And I was told by unfriendly staffs that they do not have spoons, intsead she told me to try using forks or chopsticks.. So I tried eatting fried rice with forks.. At leats, Safeways will have spoons and forks! Franchise owner could do better than this!

Terrible experience. Ordered on line and went myself to pick up the order. They were pretty busy, people waiting out the door to order at the food bar. Waited at the spot for pick up of takeout. My order was on the shelf, bag stapled shut, and tag had my name on it. Sadly when I got to my place the food in the bag was not mine and some other person's name on it. There was no ph # on the receipt so googled. 3 calls system hung up on me figured they were still busy. Finally got hold of someone and tried to explain what happened. He didn't seem to understand. Then he blames on the driver. Told him I picked up the order myself and he asked why I didn't check the order. Really? Why staple the bag shut if I need to check your work? Word of caution.... Always check your order before leaving. They said they would issue a store credit for next time, but he couldn't understand even when I spelled it. Not hopeful. So disappointed since I was really looking forward to the meal I had ordered. 😮‍💨

Food is good. Orange chicken always hits the spot. The service is so slow woth all the mobile orders going ahead of people wanting to sit and eat in the restaurant. This issue should be resolved.

They open at 9:30 am. An aggressive truck driver who is probably late for delivery comes out and tells me they aren’t open… after 9:30am… as I approach the restaurant he tries to prevent me from going in… as I go in, a rude manager yells… we are not open yet! This all after 9:30 am. Is this a joke? Why are you not open if your opening time is 9:30 am?

Been here a few times but I noticed that most of the staff here is extremely rude for some reason. I don’t know if they are overworked but it always seems like they like to take their anger off customers.. I’ve personally experienced it myself many times and for the record I never give them a negative attitude. Also their food portions and quality went down hill at this specific location. They need to do better.
