About Panda Express

Welcome to Panda Express, a Chinese restaurant located within the busy environment of Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY), situated at 1 Terminal Dr in Kenner, Louisiana. As part of the Chinese restaurant category, Panda Express is generally known as a fast-food chain that provides quick and convenient takeout options for travelers and airport staff. This particular location in Kenner aims to serve those passing through or working at the airport with a variety of Asian-inspired meals and hearty sides.

According to one customer review, Panda Express is recognized for consistently delivering satisfying Asian meals, which are often paired with substantial sides such as rice or noodles. This suggests that customers can expect a filling and flavorful meal when choosing Panda Express. The reviewer also highlighted the benefit of long opening hours, making it a reliable option for those with varying schedules or travel times. Furthermore, the mention of freshly prepared entrees indicates a commitment to serving food that is made with a focus on current preparation rather than pre-made items.

A notable feature of Panda Express, as pointed out by the same reviewer, is the availability of a "half and half" option for those seeking a more balanced and nutritious meal. This allows customers to combine half a portion of a starch, such as their choice of noodles or rice, with half a portion of green vegetables. This option caters to health-conscious individuals looking for a meal that includes both carbohydrates and fiber.

However, it is crucial to consider a significantly contrasting review from another customer. This individual reported a highly negative experience, claiming that the establishment at this specific location in the airport misrepresented its affiliation with the broader Panda Express chain. According to this review, the store explicitly stated that it was not associated with the national Panda Express and operated as an independent restaurant. This is a critical piece of information for customers who might expect the same standards, menu, and policies as a corporate-owned Panda Express.

The same negative review further stated that this independent operation serves portions in larger plates that are equivalent to the quantity served in normal plates at standard Panda Express locations. This suggests a potential difference in pricing or perceived value. Additionally, and perhaps more significantly for loyal Panda Express customers, this location allegedly does not honor Panda Express points, indicating that the rewards program associated with the national chain is not recognized here.

The reviewer also raised serious concerns about the quality of service, describing the staff as "rude." This is a significant factor in the overall customer experience and can deter potential patrons. The reviewer concluded by labeling the shop a "total sham" and expressed confusion as to why the Panda Express chain would allow such an operation to exist, given the alleged misrepresentation and poor service.

Considering these two vastly different accounts, it is challenging to provide a straightforward introduction to this particular Panda Express location at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. While one review paints a picture of a reliable fast-food option with fresh food and healthy choices, the other alleges serious issues regarding its affiliation, pricing, rewards program, and staff behavior.

For local users specifically seeking a Panda Express experience at the airport, it is essential to be aware of the claims made in the negative review. If you are expecting to use Panda Express rewards points or anticipate the same menu and portion sizes as a standard chain location, you may be disappointed. It would be prudent to clarify the restaurant's affiliation and policies before making a purchase.

The positive aspects mentioned, such as satisfying Asian meals, hearty sides, long opening hours, freshly prepared entrees, and the "half and half" nutritious option, are typical of the Panda Express brand. If the negative claims are inaccurate or isolated incidents, then this location could indeed offer a convenient and reasonably good option for travelers needing a quick meal at the airport.

However, the serious allegations of misrepresentation and rude staff cannot be ignored. Potential customers should exercise caution and perhaps observe the establishment or inquire about its affiliation and policies before ordering, especially if they are familiar with and expect the standard Panda Express experience. The discrepancy in portion sizes and the non-acceptance of rewards points are also crucial factors for informed decision-making.

In conclusion, the Panda Express located at 1 Terminal Dr, Kenner, LA 70062, within Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY), presents a complex picture based on the available reviews. While it may offer the convenience of a fast-food Chinese restaurant with freshly prepared meals and nutritious options, there are serious allegations of misrepresentation regarding its affiliation with the national chain, differences in portion sizes and rewards program, and issues with staff rudeness. Local users and travelers should be aware of these conflicting reports and consider them when deciding whether to dine at this particular location. It may be wise to seek clarification on its operational status and policies before ordering. For inquiries, they can be contacted at (504) 495-6092 or +1 504-495-6092.

Panda Express consistently delivers satisfying Asian meals, paired with hearty sides like rice or noodles. With long opening hours and freshly prepared entrees, it’s a reliable stop for a hungry stomach. For a more balanced and nutritious option, Panda Express offers a "half and half" choice—combining half starch, such as noodles or rice, with half green vegetables.

This shop is a sham. They said they are not associated with Panda Express chain but an independent restaurant. They are serving in bigger plate the quantity what normal panda Express serves in normal plate. They don't honor Panda Express points. And the staff is rude. Total sham. Not sure how Panda Express chain is allowing them to operate.

Cashier was very slow and rude. She was also touching everyone's eating utensils with her dirty gloved hands that she was taking payments with. What's the point of wearing gloves?? Gloves are to keep food clean, not your hands.

The employees here at the airport location seem overworked and unhappy...none of them were very polite, helpful, or friendly at all. Also it is all extremely overpriced for food that is mediocre at best.

Decent food. Great price. The manager Lashantay was doing a good job keeping it all together while they were really busy.
