About Panda Express
Panda Express, situated at 13305 Tegler Dr in Noblesville, Indiana, is part of a well-known fast-food chain specializing in Chinese-American cuisine. This particular location, operating under the platform category of Chinese Restaurant, offers both dine-in and takeout services, accessible via phone at (317) 770-6992 and mobile at +1 317-770-6992. Recent customer reviews provide a mixed perspective on the operational efficiency and customer service at this branch, particularly during peak lunch hours.
One recurring and significant concern raised by a customer is the restaurant's apparent lack of preparedness for the lunch rush. This reviewer stated that on multiple occasions, between 11:30 AM and 12:00 PM – prime lunchtime – the restaurant has not had sufficient quantities of staple items such as rice, chow mein, or various meats available. On their most recent visit, around 11:45 AM with a line out the door (indicating a busy period), they were informed that many items were not ready and would take approximately 30 minutes because they were frozen. This situation directly contradicts the expectation of fast food, where customers anticipate quick and readily available meals, especially during peak hours.
The same reviewer also highlighted a practice of staff telling customers to "take a seat and we’ll bring it out to you" when items are not ready. While this might seem like an attempt at customer service, the reviewer perceived it as inappropriate for a fast-food establishment, where the norm is immediate service at the counter. The extended wait times for food that should ideally be prepared and available during the lunch rush led to considerable frustration for this customer.
Further criticism was directed towards the management's handling of these delays. The reviewer claimed that managers did not offer any form of compensation, such as a meal discount or a free drink, for the significant wait times caused by the lack of preparedness. This lack of acknowledgment or appeasement for the inconvenience was viewed as poor management and a disregard for customer satisfaction. As a result of these repeated negative experiences, the reviewer stated their intention to switch to the Panda Express location on Mercantile Blvd and suggested that others might want to consider doing the same, implying a perceived difference in service or efficiency between the two Noblesville locations.
Adding to the concerns about customer service, the reviewer mentioned a previous incident where corporate Panda Express reportedly did not respond to their complaint, suggesting a broader issue with the company's responsiveness to customer feedback, at least in this particular instance. This lack of follow-up after a negative experience can further erode customer trust and loyalty.
In contrast to these negative experiences, another customer shared a brief positive interaction with a specific individual, identified as Phillip, whom they believed to be the manager. This reviewer noted Phillip's kindness in informing them about a truck arrival that might cause a temporary drop in lobby temperature. They also observed Phillip assisting his team members during what seemed to be a short break. This positive anecdote suggests that there might be individual staff members at this location who are attentive and helpful.
Based on these reviews, the environment of the Panda Express on Tegler Dr is not explicitly described in terms of decor or cleanliness. However, the mention of a lobby that might get cold due to a truck delivery suggests a functional but perhaps not particularly focused-on ambiance. The primary concern regarding the environment seems to be the potential for extended wait times and the deviation from the typical fast-food service model when items are not readily available.
The services offered include dine-in and takeout. However, the recurring issue of food not being prepared during peak hours significantly impacts the efficiency and convenience of both these services. Customers expecting a quick lunch might face considerable delays, and those dining in might experience the discomfort of waiting for their food to be brought to them. The positive mention of Phillip's interaction indicates that some staff members are trying to provide good customer service, but this seems to be overshadowed by the systemic issues of preparedness and management response to delays.
Key features of this Panda Express location, as perceived through these reviews, are its location on Tegler Dr in Noblesville and its adherence to the standard Panda Express menu. However, a significant negative feature appears to be the frequent lack of readiness for the lunch rush, particularly regarding staple items like rice, chow mein, and meats. Another potential issue is the management's approach to handling these delays, with a perceived lack of compensation or proactive customer service. On a more positive note, the kindness and helpfulness of at least one manager, Phillip, suggests that there might be pockets of good customer service within the location.
There is no promotional information provided in these reviews. Local users would need to check the official Panda Express website or contact the store directly to inquire about any ongoing promotions or limited-time offers.
For local users in Noblesville, Indiana, considering the Panda Express on Tegler Dr, it is crucial to be aware of the potential for significant delays, especially during the lunchtime hours between 11:30 AM and 12:00 PM. The reported lack of availability of key menu items and the resulting wait times could lead to a frustrating experience for those expecting fast food. The negative feedback regarding management's response to these issues and the lack of compensation for the inconvenience are also important factors to consider.
While there is a positive mention of one manager's kindness, the overall theme of the reviews points to systemic problems with preparedness for peak hours. Customers who prioritize speed and immediate availability of their food, especially during lunch, might want to consider alternative options, as suggested by one reviewer who recommended the Panda Express on Mercantile Blvd. It might be prudent to call ahead during busy times to inquire about the availability of specific dishes to avoid disappointment and unexpected delays.
In conclusion, the Panda Express at 13305 Tegler Dr in Noblesville, IN, has received recent feedback indicating significant issues with preparedness for the lunch rush, leading to long wait times and customer dissatisfaction. While individual staff members like Phillip may offer good customer service, the overarching concerns about food availability and management's handling of delays are important considerations for local users. Potential customers might want to weigh these factors against the convenience of the location and consider whether the risk of encountering these issues aligns with their expectations for a fast-food dining experience.

Extremely disappointed in this location. They are never prepared for lunch. I’ve been several times between 11:30a-12p, which is prime lunch time. They never have enough rice or chow mein or meats. Today they barely had anything ready and said it would take 30 minutes because it was frozen. This was at 11:45a!! Prime lunchtime with a wait out the door. Why is it never ready for lunch??? I wasn’t the only one that used their favorite phrase “take a seat and we’ll bring it out to you”. This is fast food, not a gourmet sit down place. I expect fast and hot food. The managers don’t even discount your meal or offer a free drink for you having to wait an extended period of time for food that should have been ready for the lunch rush hour. Poor management in my opinion. I’m going to start using the Panda on Mercantile, which I would highly suggest others to consider. Also, corporate Panda didn’t reply last time, because it wasn’t the first incident. Apparently they don’t care too much about customer service.
Phillip (I believe the manager) was very kind! He let us know that a truck was coming in so the lobby may get a little cold for 30 minutes. We also saw him help his team several times while on a quick break.
This is the worst Panda Express in the area. The food tastes terrible like under cooked chicken and the fried rice tastes like paper. When you ask questions the employees are unfriendly. They seem to mess up your order all the time and don’t care that they barely gave you any food. Stay away and go to another one. I will never come back to this location.
I ordered DoorDash from these people and paid $17 for a teriyaki chicken bowl. It came to me as some grilled chicken over rice, with no sign of teriyaki sauce. When I called to ask about teriyaki sauce, the guy just wanted to make sure that I knew I had ordered it wrong, which I had not, and informed me that teriyaki sauce doesn’t actually come with the teriyaki chicken. This also is not true, because I eat this often. Do better on your nighttime managers.
I had my 2 faves... sweet fire chicken and Beijing beef. Delish!! Fried rice was just ok. Service was excellent! Always friendly and the staff keeps busy. No one just standing around. I was impressed by that.
