About Panda Express
Panda Express, a well-known Chinese restaurant chain, has a location at 10722 Sunset Hills Plaza Space A1 in St. Louis, MO 63127, USA. This establishment offers local users a convenient option for fast-casual Chinese cuisine. They can be reached at (314) 909-4829 or their mobile number +1 314-909-4829 for inquiries. As part of the broader category of Chinese restaurants, Panda Express provides a quick-service dining experience with a focus on popular American-Chinese dishes.
Based on recent online reviews, the customer experiences at this particular Panda Express location present a mixed picture. One regular customer expressed general satisfaction with the food, noting that they "really like the food they offer" and consistently receive "polite and prompt" service. This positive feedback suggests that the restaurant generally delivers on taste and efficiency, which are key aspects of the fast-casual dining model. The reviewer did mention a desire for less salt in the food, indicating a potential area for improvement for health-conscious consumers, but overall, their frequent visits suggest a positive recurring experience.
However, another customer who visited on a Friday evening for a dine-in experience had a less favorable impression. They observed that many of the food items appeared "tired and not abundant," which could be a concern for customers seeking freshly prepared and plentiful options. This observation aligns with a common issue reported across various food service establishments – understaffing. The reviewer noted "not enough staff," with only one person at the counter, two preparing food, and one cleaning. This limited staffing can impact the quality and availability of food, as well as the overall dining atmosphere.
Further highlighting the impact of potential understaffing, another review pointed out a perceived prioritization issue where "walk ins are handled first" while customers with pickup orders are left waiting. This can be frustrating for those who have placed orders in advance and expect a quick and efficient pickup process. Such a policy, whether intentional or a byproduct of being understaffed, can lead to dissatisfaction among customers utilizing the takeout service.
The quality of the food was also a concern for one reviewer who described their meal as "below average." They indicated that their visit was only due to the closure of their preferred restaurant's dining room, suggesting that Panda Express was not their first choice. This feedback implies that, at least on this occasion, the food did not meet the reviewer's expectations in terms of taste and quality.
Considering these reviews, the environment at this Panda Express location seems to be typical of a fast-casual restaurant. While one reviewer experienced a dine-in visit, there were no specific details provided about the ambiance or cleanliness beyond the observation of one person cleaning. The "tired and not abundant" appearance of the food might suggest a busy environment where food turnover is not always optimal, possibly due to staffing constraints.
In terms of services, Panda Express primarily offers takeout and dine-in options. The mention of a potential prioritization of walk-in customers over pickup orders is a notable point regarding their service flow. The initial positive review praised the "polite and prompt" service, indicating that when adequately staffed, the service can be efficient and courteous. However, the later review citing understaffing suggests that service quality can be inconsistent and may suffer during peak hours or when staffing levels are low, leading to longer wait times and potentially less attentive service.
A key feature of Panda Express as a chain is its standardized menu of popular American-Chinese dishes, with Orange Chicken being a signature item. Other common offerings include various wok-tossed entrees with chicken, beef, and shrimp, along with sides like fried rice, chow mein, and mixed vegetables. The first reviewer's enjoyment of the food suggests that the taste and quality of these standard menu items are generally well-received, although the desire for less salt indicates a potential area for dietary consideration.
No specific promotional information was mentioned in the provided reviews. As a large chain, Panda Express often has national or regional promotions, which local users might want to inquire about directly at this Sunset Hills location or check their official website or app for any current deals or special offers. These could include limited-time menu items, combo deals, or discounts on family meals.
In summary, the Panda Express at 10722 Sunset Hills Plaza in St. Louis offers a convenient option for fast-casual Chinese food, with one regular customer consistently enjoying the food and service. However, recent feedback also highlights potential drawbacks such as food that may appear less fresh during peak times, possible understaffing leading to slow service and prioritization issues for pickup orders, and inconsistent food quality. Local users considering this Panda Express location should weigh these recent experiences alongside the general appeal of the Panda Express menu and the convenience of its location. It might be prudent to visit during less busy hours or inquire about the freshness of the food if dining in. Checking for any current promotions could also enhance the value of a visit.

Really like the food they offer, and service is always polite and prompt. Wish it had less salt than it does, but otherwise I enjoy it - have been picking up dinner here once or twice a week for months now.
First visit here in quite some time. It’s 8:00 Friday night. I had a dine in experience. Many of the food items looked tired and not abundant. Same story as most places. Not enough staff. Only me counter person. Two people preparing food. One person cleaning. If you have a pickup order you are low priority. They stand and wait while walk ins are handled first. My food was below average. I only came here as my first choice restaurant’s dining room is closed.
Double Orange fried rice. The chicken was fine but it was giving the vibe that it was a bit old. Not terrible by any stretch. Like really not bad. But it wasn't like "yeah this is great!"
One person having to serve and check people out during busy lunch hours is unacceptable. 30 people in line then they make to go orders before the people in line. Panda do better
Just got my orange chicken and lo mein and the orange chicken was decent. But on the other hand my drink was flat and all 3 of the meal we got the lo mein smelled burnt? Many little black chard pieces and just smells like it was in the microwave to long. Couldn’t eat without smelling it 1/10
