About Panda Express

Located at 17799 SW 65th Ave, Lake Oswego, OR 97035, USA, **Panda Express** is a widely recognized Chinese restaurant operating within the fast-casual dining segment. With contact available via phone at (503) 670-4713 or mobile at +1 503-670-4713, this establishment offers a convenient and accessible option for those seeking Chinese-American cuisine. Unlike traditional sit-down restaurants, Panda Express specializes in providing quick service, prepared dishes in a cafeteria-style setup, making it an ideal choice for a speedy lunch or dinner.

The environment at Panda Express is designed for efficiency and speed. As a fast-casual chain, the interior typically features a bright, clean, and functional layout. Customers move through a serving line where they can view the available hot dishes and select their preferred entrées and sides. Seating is generally casual, comprising tables and booths suitable for quick meals. The atmosphere is usually bustling, especially during peak hours, reflecting its popularity as a convenient dining option. While not designed for a leisurely, prolonged dining experience, the environment effectively serves its purpose of providing quick and accessible meals to a steady stream of customers. The focus is on functionality and the ease of getting food quickly, which is a key aspect of its appeal.

The service at Panda Express is characterized by its speed and efficiency, reflecting its fast-casual model. Customers can expect a streamlined process where food is served quickly from the hot bar. However, as noted in customer reviews, there can occasionally be issues with item availability or order accuracy. For instance, a customer mentioned that "quite a few items not available" at a specific time, indicating that certain popular dishes might run out during busy periods. Another review highlighted instances of incorrect orders, such as receiving "2 orange chicken when I wanted kung pao" or having a "king pao" missing from a plate. These instances suggest that while the service aims for speed, occasional discrepancies in order fulfillment can occur. Despite these potential minor hiccups, the staff generally works to keep the line moving and serves food promptly, which is a core expectation for a fast-casual restaurant. The overall service experience focuses on providing a quick and convenient meal solution.

The features of Panda Express are primarily centered on its accessible and standardized menu of Chinese-American dishes, known for their quick preparation and consistent flavor profile across locations. The restaurant offers a variety of popular items, allowing customers to build their own plates by choosing a base (like rice or chow mein) and main entrées.

  • **Orange Chicken:** This is arguably Panda Express's most iconic and popular dish. Customers describe it as "hot and saucey," often highlighting its "fresh looking" appearance and generous portions. However, one review noted it could be "a little soft," which might be unusual for a seemingly fresh fried item, indicating slight variations in texture. Despite minor textural observations, it remains a favorite for its sweet and tangy flavor.
  • **Kung Pao Chicken:** This spicy chicken dish is another staple. Customer reviews indicate that despite its popularity, it can sometimes be unavailable or mistakenly omitted from orders, which can be a point of frustration for patrons seeking this specific item. When available and correctly served, it offers a flavorful, spicy kick.
  • **Portion Sizes:** Customers often praise the "really good portion" sizes, finding them to be generous and satisfying for the price, which adds to the value perception of the meal.
The menu typically includes other common favorites such as Beijing Beef, Broccoli Beef, SweetFire Chicken Breast, and various fried rice and chow mein options. The emphasis is on popular, broadly appealing flavors that cater to American tastes, offering a familiar and comforting experience for many diners. The grab-and-go nature of the food means it’s prepared in batches, allowing for quick serving, though this can sometimes lead to variations in freshness or availability of specific items throughout the day.

In terms of promotional information, Panda Express relies heavily on its established brand recognition, convenience, and the popularity of its signature dishes, particularly the Orange Chicken. While specific time-limited promotions are not detailed, the inherent promotional appeal lies in its efficiency and consistent availability of quick, satisfying meals. The restaurant's presence at 17799 SW 65th Ave in Lake Oswego, and its accessible phone numbers (503) 670-4713 and +1 503-670-4713, make it a readily available option for residents. The concept of "value" is subtly promoted through the generous portion sizes, allowing customers to feel they are getting a substantial meal for their money. Panda Express also frequently promotes seasonal items or limited-time offerings through in-store signage and digital channels, encouraging repeat visits and experimentation with new flavors. The convenience of being able to quickly grab a full meal, perfect for lunch breaks or busy evenings, is a continuous draw for its target demographic. While occasional issues with item availability might arise, the brand's overall promise of quick, hot, and flavorful Chinese-American food remains its core promotional strategy.

In conclusion, Panda Express at 17799 SW 65th Ave, Lake Oswego, OR, offers a popular and convenient solution for Chinese-American fast-casual dining. Its environment is designed for speed and efficiency, while its service, though occasionally prone to minor order inaccuracies or item unavailability, generally delivers quick and hot meals. Panda Express thrives on its brand recognition and commitment to providing a fast, satisfying, and accessible dining experience, making it a reliable choice for those seeking quick and flavorful Chinese-American cuisine in Lake Oswego.

Came here at 10:50 on 3/10/25 There were quite a few items not available so I got the fresh looking orange chicken. I feel like I got a really good portion so that's amazing. Was gonna take a star from the not available items but I think not with how much I was given. The chicken was hot and saucey. A little soft which was wierd for a seemily fresh fried food

Yesterdays order was missing my king pao. Paid for a plate for a bowl. Today's order kung pao and orange chicken instead they have me 2 orange chicken when I wanted kung pao. Not sure what's going on with panda and then skipping out on the kung pao.

One of my favorite restaurants. Solid food, a perfect in-between of fast food and a healthy meal at a reasonable price. They always give large portions and are willing to add more if I ask. My favorite’s the grilled chicken with the teriyaki sauce. Good protein aswell.

These noodles seem like they were completely over cooked, probably recooked multiple times, and left out for hours before serving. Not fresh and very dry. I skipped this meal. Disappointed

Ordered Grubhub and the restaurant forgot to put an entire order in the bag. Ordered the missing order for the second time and it was delivered ice cold with the new receipt stapled on the old receipt. They didn’t even bother to give me fresher food. On top of that, the entire bag was covered in grease at the bottom. 100% the restaurants fault, poor Grubhub driver
