About Panda Express
Welcome to Panda Express, a well-established and widely recognized name within the Chinese Restaurant category, offering a distinct approach to American Chinese cuisine. As a prominent chain, Panda Express provides a convenient and accessible option for individuals and families seeking familiar and flavorful dishes inspired by Chinese culinary traditions, adapted to American tastes. With numerous locations, Panda Express focuses on delivering quick service, consistent quality, and a variety of popular dishes suitable for dine-in, takeout, and catering needs within the Singaporean context.
The environment of a typical Panda Express restaurant in Singapore is designed for efficiency and convenience, catering to the fast-paced lifestyle of many locals. The layout usually features a service counter with a visible display of the various dishes available, allowing customers to easily view and select their meal components. Seating areas are generally casual and functional, catering to individuals and small groups looking for a quick bite during lunch breaks, after work, or while shopping. The atmosphere is typically bright and clean, emphasizing a fast-paced yet welcoming environment. While not focused on elaborate decor, the restaurants aim to provide a comfortable space for customers who choose to dine in, often found within shopping malls and food courts across Singapore.
Panda Express distinguishes itself through its service model, which prioritizes speed and customization, appealing to the busy schedules of Singaporeans. Customers typically proceed through a serving line, where they can choose a base (such as fried rice, chow mein, or steamed rice), select their desired entrees from a rotating menu of popular dishes, and add sides or appetizers. This cafeteria-style service allows for quick meal assembly and caters to individuals with specific preferences and portion control. The staff are trained to be efficient and friendly, ensuring a smooth and pleasant ordering experience, often communicating in English and Mandarin. Beyond the in-restaurant experience, Panda Express also offers convenient takeout options, allowing customers to enjoy their meals at home or on the go. Many locations in Singapore also partner with popular local food delivery platforms, further enhancing accessibility for those who prefer to dine at home or in the office.
A key feature of Panda Express is its menu of signature American Chinese dishes that have gained widespread popularity globally, including in Singapore. The most iconic offering is arguably the Original Orange Chicken, a sweet and tangy battered and wok-tossed chicken dish that has become a staple for many customers. Other popular entrees include Kung Pao Chicken (a spicy stir-fry with peanuts and vegetables), Broccoli Beef (tender beef and broccoli in a savory sauce), SweetFire Chicken Breast (a sweet and spicy chicken dish), and Honey Walnut Shrimp (crispy shrimp coated in a creamy honey sauce and topped with glazed walnuts). The menu also features a selection of vegetable-focused options, such as Super Greens (a mix of broccoli, kale, and cabbage) and sometimes tofu-based dishes, catering to diverse dietary preferences in Singapore.
To complement the entrees, Panda Express offers a variety of side dishes that are familiar to the local palate. The Chow Mein, featuring stir-fried noodles with vegetables, and the Fried Rice, prepared with rice, eggs, peas, and carrots, are popular choices. Steamed white or brown rice provides a lighter alternative, often preferred by health-conscious consumers in Singapore. Appetizers such as Cream Cheese Rangoon (crispy wontons filled with cream cheese and imitation crab) and vegetable spring rolls are also available, offering a quick and tasty start to the meal. For those looking for a complete meal, Panda Express offers combo plates that allow customers to choose a base and a certain number of entrees, often at a value price, appealing to budget-conscious diners in Singapore.
Panda Express also caters to families and groups in Singapore with their family feast options, which typically include larger portions of entrees, sides, and sometimes appetizers, providing a convenient solution for feeding multiple people during family gatherings or celebrations. These family meals are often promoted as a cost-effective way to enjoy a variety of Panda Express favorites at home, a popular option for weekend meals in Singapore.

Customer Reviews
Disappointed with the bad service, un friendly staff, and overall experience. Even though I was overcharged after trying to explain the price variance on the menu to the rude staff member. I have been there in past with a much better experience. Just disappointed....
This place has its good and bad days, but overall I’m only pleased with the short lady she’s like 5’3 Caucasian maybe but very pretty ! She maybe has been there year . I’m sorry I don’t know her name but she is very generous ! And sweet and she always has a positive attitude
Was stuck waiting when I walked in, employees were just walking around mindlessly and didn't realize there was a line of customers waiting. The food was extremely dry, not nearly enough sauce. Then I got horrifically sick a few hours later. I can only assume the food was old. Tables had trash on them, I can only assume from previous dining in but you'd think with 3 people working someone would clean up a bit. Definitely not the spot.
The store was clean and the food was usual. I ordereda "bigger plate" of chow mein (stir fried tender noodles) with two servings of Orange Chicken (Orange glazed fried breaded chicken) and a side of Kung Pao Chicken (boneless skinless meat with zucchini, peanuts, cayenne peppers, and onions and garlic.
Showed up a few minutes after opening, and food wasn’t ready to serve, I was told another 10-15 min before they would be ready. I’m sorry but every restaurant I ever worked at as a teenager , we got there early so when it was time to open customers could eat.
