About Panda Express

Panda Express is a well-known chain of Chinese restaurants, and this particular location is situated at 1740 S Robert St #112 in West St Paul, Minnesota (55118, USA). As a familiar name in the Chinese restaurant category, Panda Express typically offers a variety of American-Chinese dishes in a fast-food style setting, catering to both dine-in and takeout customers. This introduction aims to provide local users with an objective overview of this specific Panda Express location based on recent online reviews, highlighting both positive and negative feedback regarding food safety, quality, and customer service.

You can contact the Panda Express on S Robert St by phone at (651) 457-0600 or via their mobile number +1 651-457-0600. This allows for inquiries about their menu, hours of operation, and for placing takeout orders. As a chain restaurant, Panda Express also likely offers online ordering through their website or third-party delivery platforms, providing added convenience for customers.

The recent customer reviews for the Panda Express in West St Paul present a mixed picture, with significant concerns raised in one review regarding food safety and quality, while another review enthusiastically praises the customer service provided by specific staff members. One reviewer expressed strong negative sentiments, stating they "strongly wouldn’t go to this place no more." This negative experience stemmed from finding "a piece of metal" in their mushroom chicken while eating. They expressed relief at not having ingested it and urged the food preparation staff to be more careful. Additionally, this reviewer commented that "everything look like it’s been sitting there for hours," raising concerns about the freshness of the food. This review paints a concerning picture of potential food safety hazards and a lack of freshness.

In stark contrast, another reviewer had a highly positive experience, specifically commending an employee named LU for consistently making their visits great. This reviewer, who frequents this location, highlighted LU's positive attitude, noting his happy greeting on Easter morning. They also stated that they have had the best experiences at this particular Panda Express compared to several other locations in the Twin Cities area. Furthermore, this reviewer extended their praise to two other employees, Ahmad and Zong, mentioning that they are always happy to answer any questions. The reviewer concluded by emphasizing that LU, Ahmad, and Zong bring "great energy" and seem to be part of a "great overall team," suggesting a positive and helpful atmosphere created by these staff members.

Considering these contrasting reviews, it is crucial for local users to weigh both perspectives. The negative review raises serious concerns about food safety and freshness, which are paramount in any dining experience. The discovery of a piece of metal in the food is an alarming incident that should not be taken lightly. The comment about the food appearing to have been sitting out for hours also suggests potential issues with food handling and quality control.

On the other hand, the positive review highlights exceptional customer service provided by specific individuals. The praise for LU, Ahmad, and Zong suggests that there are staff members at this location who are dedicated to creating a positive experience for customers through their friendly demeanor and helpfulness. This positive feedback indicates that some customers have had very satisfactory interactions with the staff.

As a chain restaurant, Panda Express typically features a standard menu with popular American-Chinese dishes such as Orange Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, Broccoli Beef, and various chow mein and fried rice options. They often offer combination plates that allow customers to choose a base (like rice or noodles) and a selection of their entrées. Sides like spring rolls and egg rolls are also usually available. The menu is designed for quick service and a consistent flavor profile across different locations.

The environment of a Panda Express restaurant is generally casual and geared towards fast service. Customers can typically expect a brightly lit and clean dining area, often with a visible food service line where they can see and select their dishes. The focus is usually on efficiency and convenience for both dine-in and takeout customers. However, the reviews provided do not offer specific insights into the ambiance or cleanliness of this particular West St Paul location, beyond the negative comment about the food appearing to have been sitting out.

In terms of services, Panda Express primarily offers counter service for both dine-in and takeout orders. Online ordering for pickup or delivery is also a common service, providing a convenient way to get their food. It is advisable to check their website or contact the store directly to confirm the availability of online ordering and delivery options for this specific location.

Promotional information for Panda Express often includes limited-time offers, new menu items, and special deals that can be found on their national website or through in-store advertising. Local promotions might also be available, so it's worth checking their local online presence or asking the staff about any current offers.

For local users in West St Paul, MN, the Panda Express at 1740 S Robert St presents a complex picture based on these recent reviews. While some staff members are commended for excellent customer service and creating positive experiences, there are serious concerns raised about food safety and quality. The incident of finding metal in the food is particularly alarming and should give potential customers pause. The comment about the food appearing to be old also suggests potential issues with food handling and turnover.

Given this conflicting feedback, local users may want to exercise caution when considering this Panda Express location. While the positive interactions with certain staff members are encouraging, the food safety and quality concerns are significant. It might be prudent to consider these factors alongside your own priorities when deciding whether to dine at or order from this particular Panda Express.

I love Panda Express & this is probably my favorite location. They have a really good system for serving people quickly. The food is always hot & fresh. They use good quality meat & the food doesn't make me bloated so that's always a win with Chinese food. The staff is always friendly & even when they're busy you & get in & out within 5 minutes. My favorites are the noodles, king Pau & spring rolls.

I recommend don't come to this location. These employees are slow and lazy. The management here are incompetent and the servers aren't professional. I hope theses workers get terminated because of lack of customer service. They don't fill the plate full. The dining room is unclean.

Terrible service. The cooks are Latino, they don't speak English, they are very rude. I heard the cashiers ask if the orange chicken was ready and they don't even know how to say chicken in English because they don't understand anything. The food was raw and sour. Change the staff.
