About Panda Express

Panda Express is a Chinese restaurant located at 750 S Progress Ave STE 100, Meridian, ID 83642, USA. They can be contacted at (208) 887-9908 or +1 208-887-9908. As a Chinese Restaurant, Panda Express is generally considered a fast-food option serving Americanized Chinese cuisine.

Customer experiences at this specific Meridian location appear to vary. One reviewer found the food to be "surprisingly good" for a Panda Express. They particularly enjoyed the teriyaki chicken, noting it had a proper sear, and found the orange chicken to be their typical "acceptable guilty pleasure." The chow mein was also praised for having a better texture than usual, attributed to the cook's technique. The service was described as surprisingly good – cordial, polite, and efficient, with a slightly larger portion size being a positive aspect for the reviewer.

Regarding the atmosphere, this reviewer noted that the music, a corporate choice, was not ideal but was turned down. The cleanliness of the tables and the overall tidiness of the dining area were appreciated, especially considering the time of visit was not during peak hours.

However, another customer had a significantly negative experience with an online order totaling $60. Despite being told the order would be ready at a specific time, one meal was delayed, causing the rest of the order to sit out for nearly 20 minutes. The customer reported poor phone service initially but found the manager to be nicer. The quality of the food was also criticized, with the broccoli beef containing only one piece of beef and mostly mushy, cold broccoli. This resulted in a highly negative impression and a vow not to order from this location again.

In conclusion, while one customer found this Panda Express location to be operating above average with enjoyable food and service for a quick meal, another experienced significant issues with online order fulfillment, customer service, and food quality. This suggests that the experience at this particular Panda Express in Meridian may be inconsistent.

For quick and cheap Americanized Chinese food, I recommend this place. (For clarity, I have found Panda Expresses have wild swings in quality depending on a few factors. So this is a review of my experience at this specific location.) FOOD: Surprisingly good. The teriyaki chicken has been a favorite of mine, but this is the first time I had a proper sear on the chicken. The orange chicken was its typical acceptable guilty pleasure. The chow mein had a better texture than usual, likely due to the cook getting the wok temp up to appropriate heat. It takes gumption and confidence to risk the burn for a proper sear. SERVICE: The service was surprisingly good. Cordial, polite, helpful, and not chock full of platitudes or useless filler conversation. He simply took my order, got it right, and handed me my food. He got the portion a touch big, but I don't mind... ATMOSPHERE: To the fault of corporate, the music was horrible. I give them credit for turning it down some, but then all the conversations surround you. I recognize that you don't go to a Panda Express for the atmosphere, but Corporate, spend a little more to avoid pop music from Wish, please. The tables were clean, the chairs pushed in, and the trashes were empty. (I ate here at 4:45 for reference, so not peak time.) CONCLUSION: For a Panda Express, it is operated above average and my experience was enjoyable, as a quick meal between Home Depot and some house chores.

I placed an order on line that was $60. For fast food, I consider that a pretty big order… online said it would be ready at 7:05. Husband got there at 7:00 they had 5/6 meals done and were waiting on one. They said 2-3 minutes. 7:17 the ONE meal is not ready all the rest have been sitting on the counter for almost 20 minutes and they still couldn’t give a time line. I had to call and talk to manager Jacob who was much nicer than the kid who picked up the phone and laughed at me. But still nothing was done. The broccoli beef had 1 piece of beef all the rest was mushy cold broccoli which I included a photo of. $60 for cold mushy food, and pretty pathetic customer service. I most definitely won’t be ordering here ever again.

Usually good, but in my most recent order the string bean chicken had nearly no chicken. I submitted a complaint to the website and never heard back.

Kids love to go here after shopping at WinCo next door. The staff is always very sweet and friendly. Place is clean. The food is good too, especially the honey walnut shrimp and orange chicken.
