About Panda Express

Panda Express is a Chinese restaurant located at 1100 S Latson Rd in Howell, Michigan. You can contact them at (517) 997-8042 or +1 517-997-8042 for inquiries or to place an order. As a well-known Chinese restaurant chain, Panda Express offers a variety of American Chinese dishes for dine-in, carry-out, and drive-through.

Customer reviews highlight several aspects of this particular Panda Express location. One reviewer described it as the "nicest Panda Express" they had ever seen, noting its super clean interior and nice decorations. They specifically enjoyed the cream cheese rangoons and apple pie rolls when ordering party trays for a family gathering and indicated they would return for future party tray needs.

Another customer, who used Panda Express for a fundraiser, expressed gratitude for the restaurant's generosity and generally found the food delicious, mentioning the orange chicken and Beijing beef. They did experience an issue with cold noodles, but the general manager, Kat, promptly resolved the issue by providing fresh, hot noodles that met their expectations. The head chef, Gage, and his crew were also commended for their food preparation and attentiveness in keeping the serving bowls filled.

A significant drawback mentioned by this reviewer, however, is a loud noise in the dining area caused by a newly installed exhaust fan during construction. This noise was described as so loud that it hurt ears and drowned out conversation, posing a major concern for the dining environment and potentially being unsafe for hearing. While the staff in the work area reportedly do not hear the noise, the reviewer strongly suggested that the restaurant address this issue urgently, either by soundproofing or replacing the fan. Despite this environmental concern, the reviewer enjoyed the food and service and recommended giving the restaurant a chance, suggesting bringing earplugs for those wishing to dine in.

Overall, the Panda Express on S Latson Rd in Howell appears to be a visually appealing and clean location with generally well-received food and commendable service. They also offer options like party trays. However, potential customers should be aware of a significant noise issue in the dining area that could impact their experience.

This is the nicest Panda Express I've ever seen! It was super clean inside and nicely decorated. We stopped in to pick up party trays for a family get together. The cream cheese rangoons were a hit, as were the apple pie rolls. We'll return to this location in the future for more party trays!

Our panda express dinner was a fundraiser for our local teen center, and I am very grateful to the generosity of panda express. The food on the most part was delicious, but we had an issue with noodles that were serve that were cold kat, the general manager of the restaurant jumped on our complaint, and was able to serve us fresh hot noodles that were absolutely delicious to me, wife and daughters expectation. Gage, the head, chef and his crew. Specially, those from Cleary college really did a nice job, preparing food and keeping it mostly up to you date in terms of filling the bowls as a empty whisker from customers choices. The drawback is the environment you cannot blame anyone for the experience we had that was -1st of all the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. It’s one of the most beautiful panda expresses I’ve ever seen but during the construction and exhaust fan was installed and it created such a loud noise in the dining area that it really hurt our ears and this is a major concern for this restaurant. My understanding is that the construction company and others have looked at this problem and said the fan is fine. Sorry, but no one needs to sit in an environment where you have this huge squealing noise down in drowning out any customer chatter and it’s unsafe for the hearing levels of the customers. This needs to be attended pronto either add soundproofing to the fan or to take remove the fan and install something else. This is not acceptable for any restaurant or for any customers to go through this experience, but again remember it is not the fault of the manager. It’s not the fault of the employees so they do not need to be criticized or this noise they’re aware of the noise. Fortunately, the staff doesn’t hear it from where they’re working so that’s a good thing for them because they have to work long hours there and that noise would not be contagious and not be good for the health of the people there, however I enjoyed my food. I enjoyed the orange chicken and the Beijing beef. I enjoyed their vegetables. I enjoyed their other sides that I ordered which I forgot the name but again give this restaurant a chance at least do a carry out or a drive-through but if you can, and want to dine in bring earplugs, I am serious for your your safety. We are earplugs and you will love the place. Gauge the head chef should be proud of his crew. Captain manager engage the head. Chef were so good to us. I am so grateful for having had the chance to visit today. I’m looking forward to coming back with earplugs.

I have never had bad experiences here until today. I ate inside and the lady taking my order was very kind. When my food was brought over to the cashier, he was on his phone and sampling the lemonades by the cash register. He didn’t even acknowledge me and eventually looked up and said one second sorry and continued texting on his phone. He asked if it was a go to or eat in order, it was eat in but he placed it in a to go bag. Then while eating I noticed other customers coming in while Matthew was sitting there on his phone and other staff members were yelling at him to help the customers. A specific gentlemen was ordering and mid order Matthew asked another staff member to come finish it. He then said he was going to leave and the rest of the staff followed it with good goodbye done come back.

I’m not sure who the nice lady was that just served me at 10:01 PM actually maybe like 10:05… but I was starving and hit every light on the way and will be eternally grateful. They are always so nice. The woman that just served me was so so nice despite the restaurant being technically closed . I would have been super annoyed, but she was very gracious. Thank you so much!

Worst panda express I have been to. My orange chicken had ONE piece of chicken and the rest was little empty coating crumbles. And beef and broccoli had 2 little pieces of beef and 3 large broccoli florets for an entire entree. Noodles were dry and Rangoon were inedible. So sad because we wanted to love it! Panda outside is cute though.
