About Panda Express
Welcome to Panda Express, a familiar name in the Chinese Restaurant category, located at 2260 S Azusa Ave suite d in West Covina, California. As a popular fast-food chain specializing in American Chinese cuisine, Panda Express offers a wide array of dishes designed for quick service, both for dining in and taking out. While Panda Express is generally known for its standardized menu and efficient service, recent customer reviews for this specific West Covina location present some concerns regarding portion sizes, order accuracy, and overall value.
The environment of Panda Express restaurants is typically characterized by a casual and bustling atmosphere. Designed for quick turnover, the focus is on efficiency and convenience. Customers usually order at a counter and can either take their food to go or eat in a designated seating area. While the provided reviews do not specifically comment on the ambiance of this West Covina location, it is likely consistent with the chain's standard layout, featuring a visible food service area where customers can see the dishes being served. The emphasis is generally on functionality rather than elaborate decor, catering to those seeking a fast and convenient meal.
Service at Panda Express is usually geared towards speed and efficiency. Customers expect to place their orders quickly and receive their food promptly. However, one recent review for this West Covina location mentioned a delay in receiving food, stating, "took too long to get my food this time around." This suggests that while the general expectation is for quick service, there might be instances where wait times can be longer than anticipated. Another review highlighted an issue with order accuracy, noting being "charged me for rice, a few strands of noodles the entrees seemed to have switched places with the side dishes." This indicates a potential problem with attention to detail when preparing orders, which can lead to customer dissatisfaction. The discrepancy between the expected fast service and these reported issues is a point to consider for potential customers.
The menu at Panda Express features a variety of popular American Chinese dishes, with signature items like Orange Chicken, Broccoli Beef, and Honey Walnut Shrimp. These are typically offered as entrees that can be paired with sides like fried rice, steamed rice, or chow mein. However, several recent reviews for this West Covina location express significant disappointment with the portion sizes. One customer who ordered a "double order of orange chicken with noodles" seemed to imply that the amount received was far less than expected for a double order. Similarly, another reviewer who ordered a "noodle bowl with honey walnut shrimp" noted being able to "count the shrimp," suggesting a very sparse serving. A customer who ordered a "broccoli beef bowl with steamed rice" described the portion as "ridiculous" and, upon inquiring about the lack of broccoli, received no satisfactory response from the staff, including the manager.
These consistent complaints about small portion sizes are a significant concern raised by multiple customers. While one reviewer acknowledged that "Panda is not known for serving an abundance of food which is good for eating sensibly," they also stated that their recent experience was "so disappointed," implying that the portions were even smaller than their usual expectation. Another long-time customer mentioned that they had been ordering delivery frequently and speculated that this might be the reason for the "light" orders, but their recent in-person visit confirmed the issue. The sentiment across these reviews suggests a perceived decline in the value offered at this particular location, with customers feeling that they are not receiving an adequate amount of food for the price.
Currently, the provided reviews do not mention any specific promotional information for this Panda Express location in West Covina. Panda Express as a chain often offers various promotions, such as family meal deals, seasonal specials, and online ordering discounts. However, whether these promotions are available at this specific branch and if they provide better value in terms of portion sizes is not evident from the given feedback. Local users interested in potential promotions should check the official Panda Express website or contact this West Covina location directly at (626) 965-0013 or +1 626-965-0013 to inquire about any current offers.
In conclusion, while Panda Express is a well-known Chinese fast-food chain offering a familiar menu of American Chinese dishes, recent customer reviews for the location at 2260 S Azusa Ave suite d in West Covina, CA, raise significant concerns regarding portion sizes and order accuracy. Multiple reviewers have expressed disappointment with the small amounts of food received, even for double orders and bowl options. Additionally, there was a report of an incorrect order and a lack of resolution regarding a missing ingredient. While the service is typically expected to be fast, one review noted a longer than usual wait time. Potential customers should be aware of these recent experiences, particularly if portion size and order accuracy are important factors in their dining decisions. It might be prudent to manage expectations or consider these comments when choosing this Panda Express location in West Covina. To learn about any potential promotions that might offer better value, direct contact with the restaurant is recommended.

Tonight was not a good experience. Picked up food but they charged me for rice, a few strands of noodles the entrees seemed to have switched places with the side dishes. Panda is not known for serving an abundance of food which is good for eating sensibly, but tonight I am so disappointed. Here we have a double order of orange chicken with noodles. Seriously? Noodle bowl with honey walnut shrimp. You can count the shrimp, again not expecting a pound but this seemed under the top as opposed to over the top. This is supposed to be a broccoli beef bowl with steamed rice. Again sensible i understand but this is ridiculous. When I saw the plates I actually looked at the server and asked: “where’s the broccoli?” She smiled but said nothing. The person that appeared to be the manager heard me but did nothing as well. My family and I have been coming here for years, lately ordering delivery which seemed like the reason why the orders were light. 🤔 Today was the last day I visit this Panda. Perhaps this is the universe suggesting we cook at home.
Some have a good customer service took too long to get my food this time around but the worse part is that they serve low amount food, not coming back here again. This isn’t my first time here and every time is the same thank goodness there’s a Chinese food that just opened up near by.
I was very disappointed when I bought the honey walnut shrimp as is no walnut in it. I only bits of crumps. Do not recommend to buy from this store:
Not happy that they charge $1.25 Extra for a premium item and give you WAY LESS than a regular item. Also chashier NIKKY was rude and short with me. Would NOT recommend this location!
My first time visiting this area. Service is slow and you can see not enough staff. Line is almost up to the door area but they will still stick with 1 server and 1 cashier only eventhou line is so long. I'm from Hacienda and decided to buy here instead of going to colima since I'm passing thru this area. My son love panda express mushroom chicken so much, got here I'm almost at the door to line up. And waited 12 mins until be served then once its my turn and I told the lady my only order is mushroom chicken thats it. She said it will take 5 mins for that to be ready, so I waited. I will never go back to this place again atleast I know I will rather go to colima where there is a drive thru and fast service and the area is big.
