About Panda Express

Welcome to Panda Express, located at 4115 Riverdale Rd space a, Riverdale, UT 84405, USA. As a well-known chain in the Chinese Restaurant category, Panda Express typically offers a fast-casual dining experience with a variety of American-Chinese dishes. However, recent customer reviews for this specific location in Riverdale, UT, paint a concerning picture regarding food quality, service, and accommodation for dietary needs.

Several reviewers have expressed significant dissatisfaction with their experiences at this Panda Express location. One recurring theme is the issue of food freshness. One customer stated that "everytime I order from here the food is always old," describing the firecracker beef and shrimp as so tough that they "couldn’t even stick a fork through the beef." This raises serious concerns about the restaurant's food preparation practices and how long food items are left sitting out before being served.

Another major point of criticism revolves around the restaurant's lack of accommodation for customers with allergies or dietary restrictions, specifically regarding onions. A reviewer noted that both the chow mein and fried rice were "littered with onion" and, unlike other Panda Express locations, the staff at this Riverdale branch was unwilling to prepare a batch of fried rice without onions, even when multiple customers requested it. This inflexibility in addressing dietary needs can be a significant drawback for individuals with allergies or strong dislikes.

Beyond the food quality and allergy concerns, cleanliness appears to be an issue at this location. One reviewer explicitly mentioned that "tables were dirty," stating that this seems to be a "usual theme with Panda," suggesting a potential pattern of inadequate cleanliness in the dining area. This can negatively impact the overall dining experience and raise hygiene concerns for customers.

The speed and attentiveness of the staff have also been criticized. One reviewer described the staff as "dismissive and uncaring about speed of service or people who are waiting on entries to be cooked." They recounted a particularly long wait of 25 minutes for teriyaki chicken to be ready. During this extended wait, they resorted to eating the already prepared (and cooling) orange chicken from their Togo order. This lack of urgency in service and communication with waiting customers is a significant point of concern.

Furthermore, a serious safety issue was raised regarding a kids' meal. A reviewer ordered grilled chicken for their children and found that the chicken came out "almost all in one big chunk." Despite visible knife marks, it was not fully cut, presenting a potential "choking hazard." The reviewer had to pull the chicken apart themselves. They noted that even though the restaurant was not particularly busy when the chicken was being prepared, the staff failed to ensure it was safely cut for children. This oversight could have had severe consequences and indicates a lack of attention to detail in food preparation, especially for vulnerable customers.

Considering these detailed and critical reviews, local users approaching the Panda Express in Riverdale, UT, should be aware of the potential for receiving old food, a lack of flexibility regarding allergies (specifically onions), issues with table cleanliness, slow and dismissive service, and potential safety hazards with children's meals. While Panda Express is generally known for certain popular items like orange chicken, the experiences reported at this specific location suggest significant shortcomings in several key areas.

To provide a more structured overview for local users:

Environment: Based on the reviews, the environment at this Panda Express location may suffer from cleanliness issues, specifically with dirty tables. While other aspects of the environment are not detailed, the lack of attention to cleanliness can detract from the dining experience.

Services: The service at this location has been described as "dismissive and uncaring," with slow preparation times for certain dishes. There seems to be a lack of willingness to accommodate special requests, such as preparing food without common allergens like onions. The positive aspects of typical fast-casual service, such as quick order taking and efficient food delivery, appear to be overshadowed by these negative experiences.

Features: While Panda Express is known for dishes like orange chicken, which one reviewer found "still ok" despite other issues, the quality of other dishes like the firecracker beef and shrimp has been severely criticized. The lack of flexibility in modifying dishes for allergies is a significant negative feature. Additionally, the failure to properly prepare a children's meal, leading to a choking hazard, is a serious concern regarding their food preparation practices.

Promotional Information: The provided reviews do not mention any specific promotions or special offers for this Panda Express location. Typically, Panda Express may offer online ordering deals, family meal bundles, or seasonal promotions. Local users would need to check the official Panda Express website or app, or contact the store directly at (801) 627-1617 to inquire about any current promotions.

In conclusion, the Panda Express located at 4115 Riverdale Rd space a, Riverdale, UT, has received concerning feedback from recent customers. Issues regarding the freshness and quality of food, a lack of accommodation for allergies, poor cleanliness in the dining area, slow and dismissive service, and potential safety hazards with children's meals have been reported. While the chain itself is popular, local users should be aware of these specific issues raised by other diners at this particular location. It would be prudent to consider these experiences when deciding whether to dine at or order from this Panda Express in Riverdale, UT, and perhaps consider alternative options or monitor for improvements in service and food quality based on more recent feedback.

I’d rate less if I could but everytime I order from here the food is always old. Like as if it’s been sitting out for a really long time. I got the firecracker beef and shrimp and I couldn’t even stick a fork through the beef.

Panda continues to disappoint. They have no accommodation for those who are allergic or have a disliking to onion. In this case both the chow mein and the friend rice are littered with onion. Unlike other Panda Express location, they would not consider making a batch even though we had a number of people who said they would rather have a batch of fried rice without it. That aside, orange chicken is still ok. Food aside, tables were dirty. This seems to be a usual theme with Panda. Staff are dismissive and uncaring about speed of service or people who are waiting on entries to be cooked (in this case for another batch of teriyaki chicken). It took 25 minutes for the chicken to finally finish. After about 15 minutes we took the portion of our Togo order that was done, the orange chicken, and started eating it as we wait. It was getting cold anyway. One other thing. For those parents thinking the grilled chicken for kids is safe, the chicken came out almost all in one big chunk. I can see the knife marks in it, but they never finished the cutting of it. This almost became a choking hazard. When we saw it, we pulled it the rest of the way apart ourselves. I know they get busy, but when the chicken finished their was only 5 people in the store besides my family. Their was nothing to stop them from finishing cutting the chicken or preparing the rest of our food.

I ordered online and picked up my order. I was not given any entres inside the box and was given 1 sweet and sour sauce instead of my soy sauce and teriyaki sauce. Honestly how do life up the box and not feel that there’s only noodles in there? Absolutely ridiculous

I come to this location often, and it’s usually great, but sometimes the employees forget my utensils or sauces. It’s not a huge issue, but if I pay for a full meal and only receive part of it I’m going to be frustrated . I don’t normally complain, but paying for a complete meal and not getting it is disappointing.

Tha Manager at this location, is the biggest B![@% . I had a digital gift card and she didn't know how to use it, and became very, very baligerant and started yelling at me and then told me to get out if the store. Then I found the code finally. And she all of the sudden was so sweet. This bi-polar woman was a nutsack.
