About Panda Express

Welcome to the Panda Express located at 31827 Pacific Hwy S in Federal Way, Washington. Operating within the platform category of Chinese Restaurants, Panda Express is a widely recognized fast-food chain that specializes in American Chinese cuisine. This location in Federal Way provides both dine-in and takeout services, offering a convenient option for individuals and families seeking familiar Chinese-inspired dishes in a quick-service setting.

Panda Express is a well-established brand in the Chinese fast-food sector, known for its standardized menu and efficient service model. As a Chinese restaurant, it offers a variety of dishes that are typically adapted to American tastes, featuring a combination of sweet, savory, and sometimes spicy flavors. The focus is on providing popular items in a fast and accessible manner, catering to a broad customer base looking for a quick meal.

Customer reviews for the Panda Express in Federal Way present a somewhat mixed view of the experience. One reviewer who visited on a Sunday noted that the restaurant was very busy. Despite the high volume of customers, they found the staff to be "super polite." This reviewer experienced a wait due to the restaurant running out of the food they wanted. However, an employee named Ingrid compensated for the wait by offering two drinks, which significantly improved the customer's experience. The reviewer also observed that all the staff members were working very hard, especially with a large number of pickup orders, and expressed the opinion that they deserved a raise. This review highlights positive aspects of the staff's politeness and effort, as well as proactive customer service in a busy environment.

In contrast, another reviewer shared a negative experience. This customer and their spouse, who were craving Panda Express and found this location convenient while running errands, were dissatisfied with their order. Upon arriving home, they found the chow mein to be "plain" and lacking flavor. More concerningly, the spouse bit into the orange chicken and found bones in it, almost cracking a tooth. This reviewer expressed significant dissatisfaction with the food quality and also mentioned a long wait time at the restaurant. Additionally, they noted that three people who were behind them in line received their food first, which they found unacceptable. This review raises concerns about food quality control, particularly the presence of bones in a boneless dish, as well as issues with food preparation (flavorless chow mein) and service efficiency (wait times and order fulfillment).

Considering these two recent reviews, it appears that the Panda Express in Federal Way can offer positive experiences, particularly in terms of staff politeness and customer service when issues arise. However, there are also significant concerns regarding food quality and consistency, as well as potential issues with service efficiency and order handling during busy periods. Potential customers should be aware of these varying experiences.

As a Chinese fast-food restaurant, Panda Express features a menu of popular American Chinese dishes. The Orange Chicken is one of their signature items, typically consisting of battered and fried chicken pieces coated in a sweet and tangy orange-flavored sauce. Chow Mein is a noodle dish stir-fried with vegetables and usually a protein like chicken, beef, or shrimp. The negative review mentioned both of these items, indicating they are part of the menu at this location. Other common offerings at Panda Express include Kung Pao Chicken, Broccoli Beef, Sweet Fire Chicken Breast, and various rice options like fried rice and steamed rice, as well as appetizers like spring rolls and cream cheese rangoon.

The environment of a Panda Express restaurant is typically that of a fast-food establishment. The focus is on efficiency and quick service. Customers usually order at a counter and can either take their food to go or eat in a casual dining area with tables and chairs. The atmosphere is generally bright and functional, designed for a quick and convenient meal rather than an extended dining experience.

In terms of services, Panda Express primarily offers takeout and dine-in options. Customers can order their food at the counter to eat inside the restaurant or have it packaged for takeaway. Many locations, including this one as suggested by the reviews mentioning pickup, also offer the option to place orders online or via phone for convenient pickup. The phone numbers provided, (253) 941-3323 and +1 253-941-3323, can be used for inquiries or potentially for placing orders, though online ordering is also often available through the Panda Express website or app.

Features of Panda Express include its fast-food service model, standardized menu of popular American Chinese dishes, and widespread brand recognition. The Federal Way location, as indicated by one review, can be very busy, suggesting it is a popular option in the area. The staff's politeness and willingness to address issues, as highlighted in the positive review, can also be seen as a feature of the service at this particular location. However, the reported inconsistencies in food quality, such as the flavorless chow mein and the presence of bones in the orange chicken, are significant drawbacks.

Panda Express often has promotional offers and deals, which can vary by location and time. These might include family meal deals, discounts on specific entrees, or limited-time menu items. To find out about any current promotions at the Panda Express in Federal Way, it is recommended to check their official website or app, or to inquire directly at the restaurant either in person or via phone.

In conclusion, the Panda Express located at 31827 Pacific Hwy S in Federal Way, WA, offers a convenient fast-food option for American Chinese cuisine. While one customer reported positive interactions with polite and helpful staff during a busy period, another experienced issues with food quality, including flavorless chow mein and bones in the orange chicken, as well as concerns about service efficiency. Potential customers should weigh these recent experiences when considering this location. For the most up-to-date information on the menu, hours, and any current promotions, please visit the official Panda Express website or contact the Federal Way location directly at (253) 941-3323 or +1 253-941-3323.

Came in today on Sunday they were super busy but the staff was super polite, had to wait a while since they ran out of the food we wanted and Ingrid offered us 2 drinks for the wait. Made out experience way better. Everyone working was working super hard with like 5 people picking up, They all probably deserve a raise, thank you!

My spouse and I were craving panda, we hardly come to this location but it was convenient since we were in the area for errands. We got home and immediately the chow mein was plain no flavor, my spouse took a bite of the orange chicken and it had some bones, almost cracked his tooth. I was very unsatisfied with this and also the wait time. They’re were 3 people behind me and they got their food first. Not ok!

Good place for fast food. Except, you can smell urine at the entrance to the restaurant. Plus, taking pictures to show you, I got a dirty look from a Hispanic lady who works there. So, that's all I have to show you. I was there recently to buy dinner for a Hispanic homeless that stayed at Steel Lake Park. Have a great day.

I ordered 4 orders yesterday. While I was waiting I noticed they kept pushing my order to the side. I also noticed how much food they were giving others on their plates. Of course when I checked mine once I got home, I received a portion of that. I have complained several times so I l know I should of checked there. In my experiences seems like blacks get the least, nothing new. If I ever return I will be taking pics

Unlike any other panda they’re very attentive when going through the line and receiving your food. Everything was smooth sailing until we got to the register. The woman started writing orders down on the plates and placing them back into warmer for I don’t know what reason. We ordered appetizers and it’s usually pack the food and hand it to us. NOPE. She continued to say we will call your number. I was confused bc the food was ready to go. But she was busy writing orders down on the plates for the next order and continued to place them back in the warmer to continue to the cycle. This led to us leaving without some of our food. I will not come back. Someone needs to tell her there’s no need to do all of that to just handle the customers as they come down the line. It’s not rocket science. Anyways that’s all.
