Customer reviews present varied experiences at this Oxon Hill location. One recent customer, who had positive memories of Panda Express from the West Coast, found this location to be consistent with their past experiences. They specifically mentioned the "Bigger Plates" deal, which includes 3 entrees and one side for around $12, highlighting the good price and satisfying food.
However, another recent reviewer had a significantly negative experience. They reported that no food was prepared upon their arrival and they had to wait 10-15 minutes for their order. Furthermore, they found the portion sizes to be "horrible" and the food to be bland. Specifically, they described the chow mein as terribly dry and underdone with excessive onions, and the chicken and steak as lacking flavor, with more vegetables than meat. This customer stated they would not return.
In summary, Panda Express in Oxon Hill, MD, offers a familiar menu of American Chinese dishes. While one customer found the food and value to be good, another reported issues with wait times, portion sizes, and the quality and taste of their meal. Potential customers should be aware of these contrasting recent experiences.

My fiancé and I stopped in this location to grab a quick early dinner. I’m not from the area but my fiancé is and knows the better chain locations out here. Incidentally my man rarely requests Chinese for dinner when we take away but tonight to my surprise he had a taste for specifically Panda Express! I never turn down any Asian cuisine and especially American Chinese! The last time I had Panda Express was on the west coast maybe over ten years ago and so I was interested in seeing if it could compare to the tasty memories I was so fond of when dining at their California locations and it was! This place was a good as I had remembered Panda Express to be and they filled us up with their “Bigger Plates” in where you get 3 entree’s and one side for like $12 bucks! The price was right and so was everything we tried.. Now I’m just keeping my fingers crossed that my fiancé will have more of these sudden Panda Express cravings on our future take away dates lol!
When I got there, no food was made. I had to wait for 10-15 min. The portion sizes are horrible and the food is bland. I ordered; chow mein, blazin bourbon chicken and black pepper chicken. The chow mein was terribly dry with a thousand onions and was chewy(underdone),the chicken and steak was bland. I had more vegetables the meat. You would’ve thought I asked for vegetables. Never again!
Second time getting food from this location and found hair in my food both times. Completely unsanitary, will never go here again.
I would like wash my hands before ordering a food, gotta wait long line just to ask the pass for restroom. Management prioritises restroom to be closed, prioritise your customers so they will be back
I went into the store at 10:10pm last night which is a Tuesday night. The store hours are listed as closing at 11:30pm. I asked for fresh vegetables because the one's showing were old and wouldn't pass a food safety inspection. The woman asked if I wanted fresh ones and how much I was ordering then called back to the cook. All of the staff was spanish speaking and noone spoke good enough english to communicate effectively with me as client. I stood there watching them all speaking in spanish to each other and watching the cook who proceeded to use his bare nasty hands to reach into the raw vegetable bowl and put portions of fresh vegetables into a bowl and then into a pot on the fire WITHOUT GLOVES. I said to myself, that is highly unsanitary and continued to watch. Eventually, I looked away then back and noticed he had put on gloves to move the pots around! I then said to the spanish speaking ladies who were busy speaking spanish to each other at the counter that the cook had used his bare hands to reach into the vegetable bowl. The woman looked confused and stared at me and said something in broken english about then only having rice and noodles. I asked her if that was normal for the cook to use his bare hands while handling food and not to wear gloves. She said yes, seeming like she did not understand what I was saying. She mentioned something about closing in 15 mins when the store was in way close to closing. I instantly asked for a manager and she said the manager is on break and pointed to a table a few feet from the counter where multiple people sat. I told her I needed to see the manager immediately because they had a food safety issue on their hands and she hesitated and stared then just went to the customers who had come in behind me by then. I looked around for a number to call the store hotline to report it, not finding one. I begin to walk out and she asked me if I wanted the vegetables. I told her I wanted the manager because they were discussing and had food handling violations that are discussing and dangerous. I went to my vehicle parked right at the door when I can could see right in. I called the store and asked for the managers name. The same women who were at the counter begin to speak spanish to each other and then the phone went dead. I called back after about a minute of sitting on the phone. They would not answer anymore. I am repeating this hazardous behavior to health and human services and this poor customer service. This restaurant is a hazard and they need to have English speaking staff to handle situations like this responsively rather than try to ignore it.
