About Panda Express
Located in Hillsboro, Oregon, at 2785 NE Town Center Dr, Panda Express serves as a readily accessible option for individuals seeking Chinese fast food. As a well-known entity in the Chinese Restaurant category, Panda Express provides a range of services, including dine-in, takeout, and potentially delivery, catering to those looking for a quick and convenient meal.
While Panda Express is recognized for its speed and accessibility, recent customer feedback provides a mixed perspective on the overall experience. One customer who visited on a Tuesday afternoon around 3:30 ordered the chow mein as it was freshly prepared. However, this customer reported a significant issue, stating that they found a large melted piece of plastic within the noodles. This incident raises concerns regarding food safety and quality control within the kitchen, prompting the reviewer to question other potential oversights.
Another customer mentioned that while they found the food to be generally good, they encountered a hair inside their food box. The reviewer acknowledged that this could have been an accident but still noted the occurrence. Such instances, even if unintentional, can impact the dining experience and raise hygiene-related considerations for potential customers.
In terms of service, one customer shared a negative experience during a dinner visit on a Saturday evening around 7 pm. This customer, who was accompanied by their daughter, asked a few questions related to their order. However, they reported that the cashier seemed impatient with the child, focusing solely on taking the order without offering a smile or demonstrating patience. This feedback suggests that the customer service experience can vary and may not always be perceived as welcoming or accommodating, particularly when interacting with children.
Regarding specific menu items, one customer expressed disappointment with the Black Pepper Beef Angus, which is described as a premium offering and a personal favorite. Despite this prior positive sentiment, the reviewer indicated that they would no longer recommend this particular dish. This suggests a potential decline in the quality or preparation of this specific item, which may be a point of consideration for other customers who have enjoyed it in the past.
Considering this recent feedback, potential customers should be aware of these experiences when making their dining decisions. While Panda Express offers convenience and a familiar menu of Chinese fast food staples, these reviews highlight potential inconsistencies in food quality, hygiene, and customer service.
For those seeking a quick and easily accessible Chinese meal in the Hillsboro area, Panda Express at NE Town Center Dr remains an option. They can be contacted at (503) 645-6300 or +1 503-645-6300 for inquiries about their menu, hours, or services. However, it is advisable for customers to be mindful of the recent feedback regarding food safety, hygiene, and service quality when choosing to dine at this location.
As a chain restaurant, Panda Express typically offers a consistent menu across its locations, featuring popular items such as orange chicken, broccoli beef, and various noodle and rice dishes. The appeal often lies in its speed, affordability, and familiarity. However, the recent reviews from the Hillsboro location suggest that the local execution may not always meet expected standards in terms of food quality control and customer service.
In conclusion, Panda Express in Hillsboro provides a convenient option for Chinese fast food, offering dine-in, takeout, and potentially delivery services. However, recent customer reviews indicate potential concerns regarding food safety (presence of plastic), hygiene (hair in food), and customer service (impatience with a child). Additionally, feedback on a specific premium menu item, the Black Pepper Beef Angus, suggests a possible decline in its quality. Local users considering this restaurant should weigh these recent experiences alongside the convenience and familiarity that Panda Express offers.

Grabbed lunch from here last Tuesday around 3:30 and I went for the chow mein as it was just coming out of the kitchen. Big mistake as there was a large melted piece of plastic in the mixture. I have to wonder what else is going wrong in the kitchen if something this large was missed
Food is good but there was a hair inside the foox box. Maybe it’s accident. That’s fine. For the service, I took my daughter come here for her dinner and asked a 3-4 questions related to order but Cashier girl at 7pm on Saturday 07/17 didn't have enough patience for a kid. She just focus on taking order, never smile. Black pepper beef Angus - This is premium order and it’s also my favor but i won’t recommend you try it anymore.
Possibly the worst location in the area. Arrived just after 11am and they were nearly out of several items, several others hadn't even been prepared. There were exactly 2 staff working. The single person playing food was working on an order, I stood there for 5 minutes and wasn't even acknowledged so we left. As we walked back to the car, the manager was outside cleaning his car windows completely unaware of what was happening
Welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff. I usually use all to order and food is ready in a timely manner. Free public WiFi available inside the restaurant
I placed an online order and was given a pickup time of 6:00 PM. I showed up on time, only to find that my food wasn’t even close to being ready. I tried asking the cashier (name started with a “K”) for an update, but was completely ignored. After standing around for 25 minutes, I finally got my food. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was met with a dirty look instead of any kind of explanation or apology. I get that restaurants can get busy, but 25 minutes for an order of fried rice and chow mein is just ridiculous and the attitude from the staff made it even worse. If customer service matters to you at all, save yourself the trouble and go to the location on TV Highway instead.
