About Panda Express
Panda Express, located at 100 N Rollins Rd in Millbrae, CA 94030, USA, operates as a fast-food Chinese restaurant chain offering a variety of American Chinese dishes. For inquiries or to place an order, they can be reached at (650) 844-7988 or via mobile at +1 650-844-7988. Based on recent customer reviews, the experience at this particular Panda Express location appears to have some areas of concern alongside its offerings.
One reviewer expressed significant dissatisfaction with the food quality, stating that there are "way too many good Chinese restaurants in the area" and labeling Panda Express as having "very very bad food." They further suggested it might only be a viable option late at night when other establishments are closed and if one is intoxicated. This reviewer specifically criticized the Chow Mein as being a "disgrace" and deemed the popular Orange Chicken as "overrated overrated!" This strongly negative feedback highlights potential issues with the taste and quality of some of their signature dishes.
Another customer encountered several problems during their visit. Firstly, they noted an inaccuracy with the restaurant's location on the Panda Express app, which provided incorrect navigation. While the restaurant was visible nearby, it was situated across a busy street, making access inconvenient. Secondly, parking was also reported as not very convenient at this location. Lastly, this reviewer experienced issues with the attentiveness of the staff. Despite having pre-ordered their meal, they had to wait behind another customer who was placing their order. The staff member then proceeded to pack other pre-orders instead of attending to the waiting pre-ordered customer. The reviewer had to step forward, visibly annoyed, before being asked about their order. Although their order was shown as completed on the screen, the delay in receiving it was a point of frustration. Furthermore, upon finally eating their meal, this customer felt that the quality was not up to their usual Panda Express standards. They specifically mentioned that the Orange Chicken was hard, suggesting it might have been over-fried before being mixed with the sauce. This review points to issues with location accuracy on their app, inconvenient parking, and inattentive customer service, as well as a decline in the expected food quality.
Considering these two recent reviews, a few key themes emerge. Firstly, there are concerns about the food quality, with one reviewer finding it significantly below par, particularly the Chow Mein and Orange Chicken. The other reviewer also noted a decrease in the quality of the Orange Chicken compared to their past experiences with the chain. Secondly, the location of this particular Panda Express in Millbrae seems to present logistical challenges, including an inaccurate app location and inconvenient parking. Thirdly, the customer service appears to be an area for improvement, with one reviewer experiencing a lack of attentiveness and unnecessary waiting despite having a pre-order.
It's important to note that these are just two individual experiences and may not be representative of every customer's interaction with this Panda Express location. However, they do provide valuable insights into potential drawbacks that local users might encounter. The strong negative sentiment regarding the food from one reviewer should be taken into consideration, especially by those who have high expectations for their Chinese fast food. The issues with location and parking could also be significant factors for those planning to visit the restaurant in person.
As a fast-food chain, Panda Express typically offers a casual dining environment, focusing on quick service and convenience. Customers generally order at a counter and either take their food to a seating area within the restaurant or opt for takeout. Delivery services are often available through third-party platforms, though this is not specifically mentioned in the reviews for this location. The menu typically features a selection of popular American Chinese dishes served in a buffet-style format, allowing customers to choose a combination of entrees, sides, and appetizers. Signature items like Orange Chicken and Chow Mein are usually staples on the menu.
Based on the provided information, there are no mentions of any specific promotional offers or unique features for this Panda Express location in Millbrae. Panda Express as a chain occasionally offers limited-time promotions or new menu items, but whether this particular branch is currently participating in any such offers is not indicated in the reviews.
For local users in Millbrae, CA, who are considering Panda Express at 100 N Rollins Rd, it would be prudent to weigh the potential convenience of a fast-food option against the reported issues with food quality, location accuracy on the app, parking, and customer service. If you are familiar with the general quality of Panda Express from other locations and have enjoyed it, the recent feedback suggests that this particular branch might not consistently meet those standards. If you are looking for high-quality or authentic Chinese cuisine, one reviewer strongly advises exploring other options in the area. For those prioritizing convenience and familiarity with the Panda Express menu, it might still be an option, but being aware of the potential logistical challenges and the possibility of inconsistent food quality is advisable.

Customer Reviews
Way too many good Chinese restaurants in the area. I made the mistake of trying Panda Express very very bad food. Kind of place you want to go at 2:00 in the morning if you're drunk and nothing else is open. Chow mein was a disgrace. Orange chicken overrated overrated!
A few things wrong with this place, the app has the wrong location when you try to navigate to here. Thankfully it’s visible nearby but across a very busy street to get to. Once on the correct side the parking is not very convenient and lastly the workers are not very attentive, I was waiting behind someone at the register who had just ordered since I pre-ordered. Instead of waiting on me after, since I did not have to order anything, the worker went to pack other pre orders. I stepped forward a bit annoyed and they finally asked if I had an order, I saw o. The screen my order was already completed and I was then given my order. When I finally ate my meal it just didn’t have the same quality I’m used to for Panda. The orange chicken was hard like it got over fried before mixing it into the sauce.
I’ve been waiting for this Panda Express to open for what feels like forever, and today, I finally got to try it. As someone living in a hotel nearby, this new location is more than just another restaurant; it’s a much-needed addition to the area. And I have to say, it was worth the wait. Walking in, the place still had that new-store shine—everything was spotless, the counters gleamed, and the air was filled with the aroma of freshly cooked food. You could tell the team was still settling in, but they were working hard to keep up with the buzz of opening day. I ordered a plate with fried rice as the base, choosing the iconic Orange Chicken and the sweet yet savory Honey Walnut Shrimp as my entrees. The fried rice was warm and fluffy, with just the right amount of veggies and scrambled egg. While it wasn’t the star of the plate, it paired perfectly with the mains. The Orange Chicken was everything I hoped it would be—crispy, tangy, and just sweet enough to keep me reaching for the next bite. It’s one of those comfort dishes you can always count on, and this location nailed it. The Honey Walnut Shrimp was another highlight: tender, lightly battered shrimp coated in a creamy glaze with candied walnuts for a touch of crunch and sweetness. It’s definitely worth the extra charge if you’re in the mood for something indulgent. As a little treat, I added Cream Cheese Rangoons, and they didn’t disappoint. Crispy on the outside with a creamy, slightly tangy filling, they were the perfect complement to the main meal. The staff deserves a shoutout for handling the opening day rush with grace. While there were a few hiccups—understandable for a new store—the service was efficient, and the team seemed eager to make a good impression. This new Panda Express is a game-changer for me, especially since it’s just a short walk from the hotel. It’s not just about the food—it’s about having a place close by that feels convenient, comforting, and reliable. Rating: 4.5/5 Would I return? Absolutely. I’m looking forward to making this location a regular stop, especially for those lazy days when I just want a quick, satisfying meal.
Awesome staff and service! They're kind, quick, and courteous. The meals are exactly what I want from Panda Express! Hits the spot!
