About Panda Express
Panda Express, a well-known chain of Chinese Restaurants specializing in fast-casual American Chinese cuisine, has a location at 2015 N Power Rd #101, Mesa, AZ 85215, USA. This branch can be contacted at (480) 832-1657 or +1 480-832-1657. Panda Express is recognized for its quick service and popular dishes. However, recent customer reviews for this specific Mesa location present a mixed picture of service quality and overall experience.
One customer reported having an "amazing experience" during a recent visit to this Panda Express. They specifically praised the staff as being "super friendly" and appreciated that they were encouraged to sign up for the rewards program, which resulted in a discount. This positive interaction with the staff suggests that some employees at this location are proactive in engaging with customers and promoting loyalty programs. The reviewer also mentioned that their takeout food was "well cooked and savory," indicating satisfaction with the quality and taste of their meal.
In stark contrast, another customer recounted a significantly negative experience, particularly concerning the service. They acknowledged that the restaurant might be busy but felt that the staff was excessively focused on "colin orders" (likely referring to online or delivery orders), to the detriment of in-person customers. This reviewer reported waiting for nearly twenty-five minutes just to reach the counter, indicating a significant delay in being served. Upon reaching the counter, they requested to wait for fresh chow mein and black pepper chicken and were asked to pay upfront, which they did.
Following payment, this customer observed the staff preparing and going through two more bowls of both chow mein and chicken without fulfilling their order for fresh items. After an additional twenty minutes of waiting, they witnessed a server check a box containing chow mein (which the reviewer suspected was cold), add orange chicken, and then wait again for black pepper chicken. The reviewer then noticed they were being watched, at which point the server reportedly threw away the prepared order and refilled it again. Throughout this lengthy and frustrating process, the reviewer noted that "at no time did anybody apologize" for the delays or apparent errors. This lack of acknowledgment or apology for the poor service further compounded the negative experience.
The contrasting nature of these two reviews highlights a potential inconsistency in the service quality at this Panda Express location. While one customer experienced friendly and efficient service along with good food, the other faced significant delays, apparent disorganization, and a lack of customer service. This suggests that the experience at this particular branch might depend on factors such as the time of day, the level of busyness, and potentially the specific staff members on duty.
Regarding the environment and ambiance of this Panda Express, the provided reviews do not offer any specific details. As a standard fast-casual chain restaurant, customers can likely expect a functional and familiar setting, typically designed for quick service and both dine-in and takeout options, although the focus in the reviews is on takeout service. Cleanliness is generally a standard expectation for food service establishments, but no specific comments on the cleanliness of this location were made in the provided feedback.
In terms of services, this Panda Express clearly offers takeout, as mentioned by both reviewers. The encouragement to sign up for a rewards program indicates that the chain has a loyalty program that customers can benefit from, potentially receiving discounts or other perks. The negative review suggests that while they aim to serve fresh food upon request, the execution might be flawed during busy periods, and the prioritization of different order types (in-person vs. online/delivery) could lead to significant wait times for walk-in customers. Whether this location offers dine-in options or delivery through third-party services is not explicitly stated in the provided text.
The reviews do not contain any specific information about ongoing promotional offers or discounts at this particular Panda Express location, aside from the discount received by the customer who signed up for the rewards program. Panda Express as a chain frequently has various promotions, which can be found on their official website, through their mobile app, or via in-store advertisements. Local users interested in potential deals at the N Power Rd branch should check these resources or inquire directly with the restaurant at (480) 832-1657 or +1 480-832-1657.
In conclusion, the Panda Express at 2015 N Power Rd #101 in Mesa, AZ, appears to offer the potential for a positive experience, with at least one customer highlighting friendly staff, a rewards program with discounts, and well-cooked, savory food for takeout. However, there are also significant concerns raised about the service, particularly during busy times, with reports of long wait times, disorganization, and a lack of customer service. The prioritization of online orders over in-person customers also seems to be a point of frustration for at least one reviewer. Potential customers might want to consider these mixed experiences when deciding to visit this location, perhaps avoiding peak hours if possible, and should inquire about the rewards program for potential discounts. As with any chain restaurant, experiences can vary, and it might be worthwhile to try this location to form your own opinion, while being aware of the potential for service-related issues based on recent feedback.

I had the best experience at this location today! The staff was super friendly and encouraged me to sign up for the rewards program! I received a discount. This was takeout, so I took the food home. It was well cooked and savory!
Service was absolutely horrible. Understand when the place is busy , but they will weigh more concerned with their colin orders. After waiting almost twenty five minutes just to get to the counter. I explained I wanted to wait for fresh chow mein and black pepper chicken. They asked me to pay. I did ended up watching as they went through 2 more bowls of both chow mein and chicken without filling my order. After another 20 minutes I see the server check the box which she had put chow mein in which I'm sure was cold put the orange chicken and waited again for another black pepper chicken then realized I was watching and threw it away and refilled the order again. At no time did anybody apologize.
I ordered a plate with fried rice and noodles, string bean chicken, and orange chicken. I took a bite of the noodles, and was turned off by the taste of excessive cheap oil in the noodles. I tried one more bite, and couldn't handle any more noodles. I tasted the cheap oil also in the orange chicken but not as strong. The whole plate reeked of the cheap oil smell and I didn't enjoy the food at all--I had to go home and drink a Coke to get the taste out of my mouth. I've been eating at Panda Express since the mid 1990's and have never had a bad experience like this. Funny thing is though, I had totally forgotten until after I ate, but a couple months ago, someone told me she had a bad experience at this Panda Express and was never going to go to any Panda Express again--said the food was too oily. So apparently this has been a problem for a while.
Thia location has been consistently slipping. The service, food, and atmosphere and par. 3 main items weren't ready. Extra 7 min for teriyaki chicken.
I've been eating Panda for years. Lately, the meals seem to suck. More specifically, there is less meat and lower quality of meat. A Marie Calander bowl is of equal quality. Why? I know it's not the people working there, but corporate decisions that have diminished the quality. I don't think I'll be back.
